cht 1.8 + auto wallpaper changer app...... - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

hi there, is anybody using an auto wallpaper changer app that works with cht 1.8 ?. when i was using the older version i found antworks auto wallpaper changer worked a treat but since the 1.8 version has a new wallpaper mode built in its stopped working.
how easy/hard would it be to remove the wallpaper mode all together from cht 1.8. apart from this one gripe i totally love the new build but at the same time, i like to have a new today background every half an hour lol....
cheers.

I have encountered the same problem and also like to have CHT and auto-change wallpaper coexist as well.

+1
me too please!

I will pm cookie a little later to see what the score is, this request must be possible.....
Im not holding out on a reply though lol, im sure he must get flooded with pm's......

+1 ...i love the auto wallpaper

+1 me too

Wallpaper Changer - WaPaC 1.21

He has stated that he will attempt to make his changer compatible with 1.8.
Check that thread.
UPDATE: WaPaC 1.3 is working for CHT 1.8.

You can try this program "diamond backround changer" (search on the forum I have not the link sorry),its work perfectly with cookie 1.7 but not tested with cookie 1.8

Same problem with CHT 1.8 and Antworks, have reverted back to CHT 1.7.1 and await developments.

Have you changed the setting in CHTEtitor
Misc Settings....Wallpaper Mode
Change to HDWall

HD Wall doesn't work properly on CHT 1.8, don't know why

I have HDWall working on 1.8. I changed that setting, saved all the sttings, uninstalled then reinstalled Co0kie's Home Tab.

for anybody wanting a good working wallpaper changer to work with cht 1.8, follow this link............

Thanks for the advice, but I couldn't uninstall completely the cookie home tab because It's inside the ROM Beast5. No HD wallpaper for me by now

I'd love compatibility with Antworks Wallpaper Changer too

Rapid wapac 1.3.works great with cht 1.8. u can change homescreen, tabs, and lock screen.

Should work for both
I can find no Home.WallpaperMode at the HKCU/Software/HTC/manila...
I'm using the latest TESS Pride (IV).
Thank you very much for this!

It's not working on Dutty's HG8. The dword is already set to 0 but the weather anim in home screen is still animating.
Edit: Damn i feel like a stupid. set 0 to 1 eh.
Alright its working now. Thanks boys.
Great, works for me - even without a soft reset or restarting Sense.
I had 0 to start with and set it to 1. The Weather Tab itself is unchanged and still has the animation........... in case I miss it
Cheers
John
Thanks heaps for this! It was driving me crazy and wasting battery and making it difficult to read the home screen in rainy weather...
It looked cool for about the first 2 days then got annoying.
The key can be replaced by "2" instead of "1" (works with NhatHoa Rom 6.5.x).
if all above doesn't work try
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593988
in my case the solution was to set to "x"
HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/HomeBackgroundPath

You have to create the value if you don't see it.
dword value name Home.WallpaperMode, than
value =1
This worked on my Tilt2 on the ROM in my sig.
No weather on clock look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=656240
the way to disable animation is way easier than messing with the registry. somewhere on here a week ago i read that all you have to do is set your wallpaper in the "animated wallpaper" option when you change it through manila. so instead of selecting a wallpaper using "weather wallpaper" use the "animated wallpaper" option to set. even if you dont use an animated wallpaper, your device thinks you are and it will disable the weather animation to let your "non animated" wallpaper animation run on the homescreen. i do hate the rain animation because its like 2 frames per second. hope this helps!
they are not talking about the full-screen animation, but about the small weather icon under the clock.
I tried to change the Home.WallpaperMode from 0 to 3 with no luck... the image on the background changed, but the weather icon under the clock remained...
thanks a lot
Nope, doesn't work for me, any other suggestions? My value is already at 1.
Nice, works fine. Thank you.
nice but what does these mode means?
My understanding is
0 = Weather animation on top of wall paper
1 = Weather icon present but no weather animation
2 = Weather icon present, no weather animation, yes animated wallpaper (if the wallpaper you choose is an animated format. IF using a plain, static jpeg then mode 2 works the same as mode 1)

hd wallpaper only in the home...is possible???

sorry guys!!!
is it possibile to have a full screen wallpaper (using HQ wallpaper patch) only in the home!!!
i have installed this cab and my home is very beautiful but now i don't read a sms and menus on colored background.
thanks guys
wich rom are you using, and what is your hometab?
Maxmanila, co0kie's hometab, another?
my rom is 1.66.408.1
my manila is 2.5.1921...
i use only hq wallpaper patch on my device and i edit my wallpaper in my computer with hdwall 0.28..
thank you for your help!!!
For only the stock rom with HD patch I'm not sure. At the moment I'm using Maxmanila hometab and then you can select to use a different homescreen background then rest of the menu. I'll try to look it up for you, but you may consider using the Maxmanila mod. Because I know for sure you can use it then.

If you are talking about the patch that makes the upper taskbar and the lower soft button bar part of the wallpaper so it is kind of full screen on Sense and Lock/Start menu, it is a system wide patch so it means it will appear on every screen.
Uninstall the patch and select the wallpaper in Manila settings. Then it will be displayed only on the hometab.... unfortunately you won't have the wallpaper in the taksbar and bottombar. You could recreate those two (top and bottom) images and set them in registry, but then they appear everywhere again.
For so far as I know these are the only options.

HD wallpaper not working properly

I've followed all the instructions from the official thread.
Installed the HQ wallpaper patch for sense 2.5.
Upper and bottom bars are nice but the actual wallpaper area stays black.
I'm using Cleanex 3.05 uniq rom with sense 2.5.2016 mix udt and cookie's hometab 1.8
Can't remove the patch too.
Any fix for this
Thanks.
you dont have to install the patch with cookies 1.8, its already there you just change it to use hdwall
cookies home tab editor,>miscellaneous settings, wallpaper, use hd wall

Yes thats right! But attention.
When you had install the patch and cookies hometab 1.8 you have to uninstall both now. Because after deleting the patch sometimes Cookies 1.8 had problems with HDwall cabs!
So uninstall the Patch, than uninstall cookies Home Tab 1.8 and than reinstall Cookies Home Tab 1.8 again! To be sure that all working fine!
I'll just do a hard reset doesn't matter got nothing on my phone anyways.
So let me get this straight, i install hometab 1.8 then chteditor , install hd walls and the wallpaper.cab and select in chteditor to use with hd wall.
After that it should work.
Gonna try that, thanks.
Install the cht editor to mem card, then cookies home tab to device memory, then create you're wallpaper cab, go through the options where I told you to turn on HDwall in cht 1.8 then install you're wallpaper cab and soft reset and voilĂ

[Q] C0okies home tab or a theme???

whats better "c0okies home tab" or a theme???
i need some suggestions about this because i just bought my hd2
thanks .
do both. they are not mutually exclusive - meaning, CHT is not a theme but a way to lay out sense. you can skin it to your liking for your theme.

CHTE - is used to edit CHT (you technically don't need it, it edits the registry for you.)
CHT - is a great interface enhancement to Sense - allows multiple quick link on the home page, exchangeable clocks, and a million more things
Theme - the skinning of all your images. you can have a theme that enhances CHT or anything else
Most here use CHT and then have a theme on top of it. Yes, that is what I and most here are saying you should do!

Don't uninstall the editor for CHT, it does not sound like you want to manually edit the registry. From reading your posts I gather you just need to install a theme with your current setup and be done with it.

50% or trasparency clock and calendar background for cht

hi guys,i've a question how can i make my clock and appointment background in the home 50% opaque or all trasparent with cht 2.0??
i've trayed touch x 50% opaque calendar and clock background but nothing ,remain the same black ...
can help me?!?
As linked in the FAQ for CHT 2.0 on the first page:
Frequently asked questions:
Q: I need transparent components.
A: Use this transparency mod.
It says those are for CHT 1.8.5 in the thread. Will they work with 2.0?
hiya
i asked the same question about the calendar here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=808610&highlight=rickyjune
and here's a cab for the clock i think its Santod
I'm wanting the transparent notification bars. 50 and 100% to see which I like better. But it states in the file name it's for 1.8.5 and doesn't mention 2.0

it should work fine.
the calender transparency cab I use is for 2 versions ago and its still working fine.
I tried the same cabs he has posted in another thread, and they didn't work.
Edit: I tried the "No Top Curtain" cab, and it didn't work. The link to that is in the thread where he says to find his other transparencies. The "super stealth slider skin" he has posted didn't work either.
Edit: Just realized I don't want the notification bar, I want the top curtain/status bar. Anyone know a cab for this?

Yes, these all work on CHT 2.o
The transparencies are still linked on the first page of the CHT thread for that reason. They have not needed to be updated or changed, as none of those graphics have been changed in the latest version of CHT.
The No Top Curtain, does work if you know what it is intended to do.
It removes the shaded operator bar, below the Taskbar. (not the taskbar)
Super stealth slider SKIN is only a skin for the retractable slider in CHT, so if you are not using the "Retractible slider" in CHT settings > misc,. then you will see no change.

With Cookie's Home Screen Setup you can choose between the notification bar or only the notification icons. Choose the last one. Menu - Homescreen Setup - Homescreen - Advanced - Show notifications - only icons - finish - finish. This works very good for 1.8.5.1. If it works for 2.0 I do not know for sure. As I already stated, I personally prefer 1.8.5.1 in combination with Artemis ROM.
