I like the nexus one lock screen a lot. Any idea how I can get it on the evo?
It's the stock Android 2.1 lockscreen. There's currently no easy solution, I tried removing the HTC lockscreen from the system but the original one is messed up. Similar thing that happened on the hero, flipz was able to fix it... maybe he can chime in?

Today I tried both RCMIX and INSERTCOIN's 4.0.1 ROMs, and both of them ended up having the same issue after about an hour or two...
The issue is that the screen would shut down and the phone would lock as it should , but then when I hit the power button to unlock it, it would turn on as if it had been completely off (MAYBE IT WAS?). Please note: I did flash the radio that came with the RUU. Maybe that's the problem?
Has anyone else run into these issues with the ICS ROMs? If so, were you able to get past them?
RCMIX was jam packed loaded with my normal apps - IC was just what it came with for the whole time, so please don't say it was something I installed - I installed NOTHING.
After flashing back to gingerbread and my old radio the problem is gone.

lol, didn't mean to thank.
BUT since you flashed the latest radio, you're having issues BECAUSE of the latest radio. Flash back to an earlier radio, and you shouldn't have those rebooting issues.
it's the radio. if you flashed the newer radio without updated the hboot, then you're going to have issues. this is a known issue from the thread on the newer radio.

It happens when you place a 3rd party app on the bottom dock.
The Wallpaper that force closing is the lock screen, if you change to the weather lockscreen that will start FCing as well.
Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to fix it, only how to prevent it.

Based on this, I've restored my ICS backup and left my old-school radio. I'll posted whatever happens!

Hmmm I put GMAIL into the dock... I wonder if that will have any effect.
If it reboots I'll remove Gmail from the dock and see if that helps.

Aha, I put K9 and Handcent on the dock and it's been going mad since.
Just trying ARHD ICS now anyway so I won't put 3rd party apps on the dock for now.......
I kept the bottom dock stock and changed the lock screen to the weather screen and so far no issues.

I'm using ARHD 5.0.1 ICS for about 4,5 hours now and no problems have occurred. changed the dock and the lockscreen already
Working great since doing away with the new radio ! Plan on trying the Revolution build later today but for now I made a good backup of the insertcoin build.

I have no idea how my Phone app disappeared from my lockscreen because I didn't remove it, but suddenly when I went to Personalize/Lockscreen it just wasn't there anymore. Anyway, now I can't put it back it seems, because it isn't in the app list.. Anyone had this issue before?
Thanks!
Same Problem
Same thing happened to my phone today. Haven't been able to find a way to get it back.
Sensation 4g stock.
Sensation 4G here also. And I talked to HTC customer support and guess what, they said we can't put the Phone shortcut back. Hopefully this will get fixed with the ICS update that's supposed to come out the day after tomorrow
It happy to me too. This will solve that

Hi,
Has anyone found a solution to prevent unlocking this weird thing by touching settings or notifications? I don't really get the idea of things that work while screen supposed to be locked. I know I could use pin/pattern/face lock, but it'd be easier to disable this "feature".
Cheers
i feel ya brother !!!
But to be honest the chances of sliding the notification bar all the way down, tapping the tiny settings button in the top right corner and accidentally wiping your device, all whilst the phone is in your pocket, Are actually quite slim lol
I wouldnt worry about it too much
If chances are so "slim", why the hell my handset calls people or runs camera while pocketed? I only hope AOSP/CM9 development will start rolling once kernel source released.
woah! seriously ?? Damn thats bad luck... lol
Ive been on these forums since day one, I can honestly say ive never met anyone else with the same issue.. Neither has it ever happened to me!!
Do you have skin lined pockets ? lol
perhaps you could try a different launcher ? or a new lockescreen, there are a lot out there, some even look like sense lockscreens...

Access to the notification/status bar is a feature in AOSP Android 4.0, not just HTC Sense. So I don't think AOSP will help you here. CM9 might have an option to customise this if you are lucky. On the other hand, chances of seeing CM9 on our phone look distant at the moment to say the least.
Well, according to HTC's response, they will release a kernel source 90-120 days after product went on sale. They have already provided sources for One X and V.
this actually helps me when my rings being buggy
this is an ics feature meant to allow people to quickly see/go to notifications. maybe try a third party lock screen?

When the power button on my Desire was messed up, it was very sensitive to being pressed and frequently turned the screen on in my pocket. Several times I had pulled the phone out to find it unlocked and having done a bunch of things without my knowing.. sometimes quite humorously.
My point being that pockets, along with a surprising amount of other things, can be used successfully on capacitive touch screens, including unlocking a phone.
Although I had known about this "feature" in ICS, I haven't been thinking about it.. So I hope MIUI (my personal favorite) and other roms will have a way to disable.. The One S will be my first ICS device.
I used a custom lockscreen on my DS that had ability to turn screen on with any button. There was multiple times that I changed the volume without taking the phone out of my jeans pocket (which turned the screen on of course) and the screen got unlocked somehow and called or texted random jibberish to random people
Was it an app custom lockscreen or built-in the rom?

If it was meant for me then it was an app - Widgetlocker.
I am unsure if this is the correct category to post in :/
Anyways, my good old HTC Touch2 is getting really old now, infact so old that the touch is horrible.
If the screen locks after being idle for a minute, it is impossible to slide it to unlock, I simply cannot do it, the touch is way to.. messed up, I have to restart the whole phone when it locks. I have tried screen touch calibration, but I can't finish it! Did it for 10 minutes without completion.
So my question is, how do I fix the touch? Or.. how do I disable the slide lock?
Just a temporary fix or something, I REALLY have to get a new HTC soon
Thanks, Nicolai
It's probaly a hard ware problem...there's not much you can do, I have new wildfire s and touch isn't that great. I would flash a Rom and see if anything changes...if not, then you will no its a hardware problem, some phones come from the factory like that

I was just wondering if this could be at all possible. Here is is a preview of it.
Lockscreen is at 5:45 on the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBeFfWUdseI
Thank you in advance!
BUMP!!!
Come one people!
Bump..
Come on people!!!!!!!!
Ok First off the constant bumping does not help your cause at all, Second it wouldn't happen that quickly, and thirdly it is already somewhat available.
We cannot get the exact effect that one has but the LG lockscreen actually used to be in the hyperdrive rom not sure if still there. But you should probably ask about it in the thread
LG G2 Lockscreen
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lockscreen.optimus&hl=en
Download and install this. it's about as close as you're going to get without getting a G2. Hope it helps
It's a nice lock screen replacement but unfortunately has no 4.3 lock screen widget support
