vOnGo for Windows Mobile - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I had been looking for an app for my Vonage World Phone, which i can use thru my mobile while on the GO..
A Company called Aphelion Technologies develops such app for iPhone.
http://www.apheliontechnologies.com/mobile/ivongo.php
iPhone has the app for vonage thru which one can make calls, even it does call forwarding and then resets call forwarding once you are done with the call.
Seems really cool. I wish a similar app for my windows Phone
I am Currently using : T-Mobile HD2
Or,
Does anyone knows about similar app available with this feature????

Receive (send) faxes on wizard mobile 6

There were no real solutions for sending or receiving faxes with windows mobile 5 on the Wizard. I was wondering if anyone has a solution now for WM6?
I am looking for a (preferably free) fax program that will allow me to receive faxes sent directly to my mobile phone number.
Please don't recommend eFax or services like that. I want software that will answer my mobile phone, and receive a fax.

It's good to want things...it build character. Unfortunatly character is not going to get around the fact your phone does not have the necessary hardware to answer a fax call and receive the information. I don't understand the big deal with services like k7.net that are free and give you a separate # you give out for faxes..the faxes go to email and you use push email to send them to your phone realtime. If you want to use your own mobile # as the fax # several services provide both voicemail and fax reception via 3rd parties and all you would have to do is enable conditional call forwarding to send calls to them when busy or not answered...their end would handle the fax/voicemail portion.
heck...Tmobile offers free receiving of fax's into their voicemail for that matter...all you have to do is call them to enable the feature.

VOIP in Canada

Anyone using 3G VOIP on the X10 with a high level of success?
Skype Beta, tried but doesn't work in this "region"
Fring = crap
Google Voice = not in Canada
I don't care if the service is free or pay-for but I would like some options.
Any info would be appreciated.
Try the new new Vonage app. Downside is that it only works between Facebook users with the app installed on their Android, Apple or Blackberry phones. Other than that it looks good and is totally free worldwide.

Tried it.. just can't get it to work. After I enter my facebook login and passwd, it says Can't connect to facebook, try again later and closes itself.
Guess I have to stick to crappy fring
Google voice works in Canada. U need an Alberta number to forward to. The only downside is having to use the web browser to make outgoing calls.

But you have to pay about 50$ for the sip settings (user/pass)
Free local calls and between some cities.
Unfortunately without sip settings, you can't use sipdroid.
3cx phone seems to work best for me since it supports g711. Sipdroid doesnt seem to have that codec. Havent found any that support g729 yet. 3cx also allows multiple sip accounts. Used it with voipcheap and gizmo5. Seems to work best for me.

Installed it last night but haven't tried it out yet.
I'll play with Vonage today and maybe look into a sip account.
Thanks to all.

Do you know any sip provider with prepaid for international which doesn't expire and preferably free local or north america calls?
You can also try Nimbuzz. They just released a new version the other day, that is supposed to reinstate Skype VoIP service. Haven't tried it myself yet, though.

Just added Tubaloo to my to test list.
Thanks.
I just created a Sipgate account (VPN on the home computer combined with a friend with a US cell phone got me an invitation code).
I've tried to set it up with Sipdroid and although it connects (green light on top) it fails to sustain a phone call. It makes the call and then drops it. I've tried with and without using the STUN server and have also tried various ports.
The Sipgate account is working. I called my Sipgate number and left myself a voicemail.
Is Rogers simply blocking my 3G VOIP trials?

Visual Voicemail AT&T

I still can't turn it on. Has anyone had any luck??
Sent from my Focus using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I was in a corporate store yesterday and asked about it. The guy was clueless and said only the iphone could do that. I said no the Mango upgrade brought it to WP7 and I believe Android already has it with apps. He said check back next year when the new updates and new phones would be out. Since we know it shouldnt be that long for the upgrades and the new phones it just goes to show the salespeople still are clueless.
Yep... I have Mang B2 and its still not there. T-mobile has theirs turned on. But not ATT.

Try calling your phone and leaving a message, then activating it in the phone settings. My T-Mobile VVM would not activate until I had a new message in my inbox.
Yeah... Just tried it... No go. I think t mobile is the only one that has this feature on wp7 right now.

I get my VVM through Google voice. It's just in email form but I like it

You won't be able to use visual voicemail on AT&T without signing up for their service, which is currently not available for WP7, and will cost $4/month when it (eventually) does become available. It will not be free.
Google visual voicemail is free, however, and it works fine on my Focus. It can be delivered via email, SMS, or both. I chose the SMS option. I added the Google Voice access phone number to my contacts, so when a VVM notice comes through (they come from the access number), if I need to listen to it to clarify a mistake in the transcript, it only takes two taps to connect.
There is also the GoVoice Free App that gives you FULL visual voicemail function through Google Voice. It can be found in the Market. But I will prefer ATT VVM when it comes avail.
Are there any updates on this? Does anyone have Visual Voicemail working on ATT with their WP7 device?
Did you try texting Activate:dt=6 to 122?
AT&T does not support Visual Voicemail on Windows Phone 7... yet. So until AT&T supports it, we won't be getting it.
Its simply amazing how long it takes AT&T to "test" things.
Alternative for visual voice mail
Try the MagikMail app with a free YouMail account. Works perfectly with push notifications. You can even load your contact photos to YouMail and get their pic on a flipping live tile along with their phone number when they leave a message. It's a lot better than the Google Voice apps, IMO.

I'm not an expert by any means regarding these phones, but I am a Network Engineer. Having dealt with VoIP for quite a while now, it sounds like you're looking for some type of program that you can assign what's called a DTA to your phone, which is essentially what Google Voice does.
If you're dialing out for internet calls using SIP, SIP ALG off of your personal Wifi at home or in a hotspot you shouldn't be using any minutes at all since you're not using the wireless provider's network to place the call. Since you're in the Infuse forums here, I would assume you have an Infuse and Google Voice is available to you and would be a sufficient application for what you're trying to accomplish.
Thanks for the reply. But what im looking for is an apo that I can change the caller id to anything I want, kind of like "bluff my call" but with voip

true fax app

hello, i am trying to find a fax app that uses the actual phone line and is not a web based app like everything that i have seen. i basicly need an app that can receive and send a fax over the phone line. has any one heard of such an app. greatly apprecciate any help.
You can find out if the fax from Windows Fax&Scan meets your needs. You can send and receive faxes using only a telephone line and a computer. But if you use a mobile APP, you can only use an online fax service at the moment.
