Leo as Remote Control before distance PC to be logged on - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hello ppl,
First of all please excuse my bad English and sorry if my thread is annoying (since there are many similar threads here), but my case is a bit different.
Before everything let say I have "stock" Leo and PC (without built in bluetooth - it will be external dongle) with Windows Server 2003 (tweaked as workstation).
So, let say I have such case - I am turning on my pc and OS booting stops on login screen, here I want to enter my password not with my pc's keyboard but with my Leo (i.e. my Leo will be wireless keyboard). I have read some threads here and I guess I can do this using wifi connection, Remote Desktop Mobile tool on Leo, and with enabled Remote Desktop on my PC. The most interesting question to me is - can I do this with bluetooth connection?! As I already said bluetooth on my pc will be external (powered by application like BlueSoleil or similar) which means (I guess) that bluetooth connection will not be available when Win booting is paused with login screen (application like BlueSoleil will not be loaded yet). Once I am logged in will be good if I can use my Leo not only as wireless keyboard, but also as mouse, media remote control and so on
I made a lil research and found some remote applications like GRemote but I guess this is also not an option since such applications will not be loaded (before OS booting finalization) too. I have read a lil about Bluetooth PAN, but still not sure that this can be my solution.
I will be so grateful for any info, ideas and help!
Thanks in advance!

BluetoothGPS and ActiveSync Issues & GPS Query

Hi All,
Excellent forum, been watching for a while now as original XDA owner. XDA is now defunct after many months happy service (Save the provider!!) - Really didn't do enough with it!
Firstly, got my XDAII and took it out wrapper - Played..
Now time for the serious stuff:
1. Ran BluetoothGPS - Fantastic, why can we not see more of this type of app on XDA? However, ran into a couple of problems:
- Setup all connections (LAN, serial, etc) and seemed to work fine with laptop with BT Dongle (TDK Class 2 & latest driver set)
- Replaced \windows\startup BTTray shortcut with new one for BTGPS, soft reset....
Yet still both systray icons come up......
And Activesync won't work through the defined serial port....
I'd really like to start using BluetoothGPS, but I need Activesync to work... I need the other functionality i.e. LAN etc which the current MS BT stack doesn't!!
Is there a way to completely remove the MS BT Stack and make BTGPS the only stack? Is it a regedit or a ROM cook that needs to be done?
Has anyone done this? Hows it working......
Oh, I bought a stowaway keyboard too... (Required for the size)... and O2 bundled their o2-g2 headset for nowt.....
Here is the problem:
Once you install BluetoothGPS, it will totally override all the MS Bluetooth services; meaning, no more Activesync or SSA; I think headset still works though.
Also, you cannot use the Activesync or SSA that is provided by the hacked software (or at least mine didn't work).
Please someone, find a fix. This is an awesome stack!

Send file via Bluetooth PC -> PPC

I can successfully send files via Bluetooth PPC -> PC,
but I went I try in the other direction, PC -> PPC, I get the error (the Receive all incoming beams option on the PPC was enabled):
i never had issues maybe you need to upgrade the bluetooth software on the pc that is if you use vidcomm / broadcom
not sure if the nativ ms bluetooth stuff even support that it's pretty poor
also your screenshot is soo tiny you can make out what any of the dialogs say
not that i think being able to do so would help any
sorry, I uploaded again my error message screenshot (it has been automatically reduced by the web site because it was more than 19kB).

How do I know if I have the Microsoft of Widcomm bluetooth stack ?
Given the info I can see in the bluetooth app, I think I have none of them.
I've given "dell bluetooth software" a quick search; no really usable hits. You may want to do some more extensive search; for example, on Dell notebook forums. There must be some ways of hacking a Widcomm BT stack on your notebook.
Does it means I have a Dell bluetooth stack ?
I thought the only existing stack were the Microsoft and Widcomm stack.
Anyone having a Dell computer can tell me if I can upgrade my default Dell bluetooth stack ?

Place calls through pocketpc from desktop

Hi, Is anyone aware of a software that can enable me to dial a number from my desktop, through a pocketpc connected over a USB cradle (and make use of the PC headphone/microphone for conversation).
Thanks,
Prashanth
ms have a free program which give you the screen of the pda connected as a window on the pc
remote something is it's name
you can try search for remote AND pc
it's likely to turn up
Hmmm right. But will the remote control software allow me to use the PC mic/headphones instead of the ones on the PDA?
i am able to use my pc as bluetooth headset - i cant dial number but i can talk through my computers mic and speakers. depending on your pc's bt stack it might not work i guess - i am using widcomm one.
Thankyou banannq and rudegar for your help. The issue was with the BlueSoleil stack. Now with PDA remote control and widcomm stack (laptop) things are working fine.

Is there a program that..

Does anyone know of a program that will display ur today screen on ur computer...like a virtual dashboard? i broke my screen on my kaiser yesterday and I am waiting on my replacement, but i have some emails that i need to read... anyone know of a program like this?
ActiveSync Remote Display. You sync your phone with the computer, run ActiveSync Remote Display on the computer, and it will display the contents of the screen. It's how a lot of people get screenshots of what is on their phone. Special installation instructions for WM6.

Thanks, but I found a program called MyMobiler .. works really good... and works with Vista
I use MyMobiler also, works good.
works great, especially since you can launch it from the desktop. No need to do anything on the PPC.
Wireless data connection not active...
There is one issue with ActiveSync Remote Display and Mobiler. Because they both use Activesync, once the WM6 device is connected via Activesync, the wireless data capability of the WM6 device stops because the WM6 device begins to use the internet data connection on the PC.
Is there a workaround so that the WM6 keeps it's wireless data connection active when connected back to the PC/laptop and yet still enables me to control the WM6 device using my laptops display/keyboard/mouse?
Ultimately, I would like the WM6 device to run a virtual display program (similar to what Nyditot use to offer) so that I can run at 800x600 and use my laptop to control the WM6 device.
Why would I want to do this? Because I have an fixed $ rate unlimited data plan that is unlimited only if data terminates/initiates from my WM6 device.

A couple of questions about Network and GPS

Hi, first of all I'm having troubles connecting to Win7 shared folders. I can access those folders from my Vista and XP computer, but not (anymore...) from my Diamond. I tried both with Resco Explorer and with the Network Plugin, but after being asked the username/password (none provided, same as I did with Vista) I get an error and I cannot connect. Fact is, from the very same Diamond, I have no issues connecting to Vista (and XP) shared folders, only having problems with Win7. Tried deactivating any firewall/antivirus, set all the settings I had to (password-less file sharing, for example), even tried creating a homegroup (but WM doesn't support 'em, so it was quite useless). Anyone got experience about Win7 network compatibility with WinMobile 6.1?
Second thing, I've been looking for a background app which highten or lowers system volume based on speed (getting GPS infos, of course). Something like modern car hifi's have built-in, I mean... you brake, it lowers, you accelerate it goes louder. Something, of course, that may be settable, not to have no audio when still and earbraking noise when on the highway!
Is it something I shlould be requesting in general forum? Maybe WM/W7 question too? Thanks, but I really can't tell.
Up! No ideas? I cannot find a solution...
