I use my XDA II to activesync with bluetooth on both my work and home laptop.
The problem I face is the following.
If I have activesynced at home, and need to activesync at work, I need to reconfigure the activesync bonding with my work PC or vice-versa
Even if I select the proper PC through the activesync oprions, I still need to repeat the bonding each time I want to switch from one PC to the other.
Is there a way to overcome this constant re-bonding?
I have 1.72 version installed.
i think the vidcomm bluetooth stack support it
Hi,
i have a qtek2020 with WM5 2.03a. Sorry for my bad english.
I have installed 1131792659_Widcomm1.5WM5.cab for enable my pocket pc of PAN bluetooth.
I haven't problem for installation and i have add two reg inserted into temp folder.
The bluetooth is perfect, 100% work, PAN, ect.
But now i have a big problem, when dock the pocket pc to usb docking station, windows xp don't recognize the usb device and receive a error message for 'unknown usb device'.
ActiveSync don't start and also the virtual network card associated with ActiveSync don't start.
I have hardreset my device, reattached to docking station and ActiveSync start and work.
After this, I have installed only 1131792659_Widcomm1.5WM5.cab and ActiveSync don't work.
The problem is caused by Widcomm driver, there are a solution for enable a usb for activesync with Widcomm Bluetooth Stack ?
Thanks, ciao

If you have the widcomm bluetooth stack on your pc
- configure the Widcomm ActiveSync service with no secure connection and a specific port
- open ActiveSync connection settings and select the "Allow connections to one of the following:" and select the port you defined in Widcomm config
- open the Widcomm config on your pda and creates an ActiveSync connection
Hope it's clear,
Cheers,
.Fred
here is a vidcomm guide

I found to internet 1.7 version of Broadcom/Widcomm bluetooth stack. Can i install this version for Himalaya ? Is compatible ?
Thanks for your help
Ciao Massimo
not sure what you are asking as the first thing
but activesync and sycn and usb have nothing to do with what
bluetooth stack you have
you can always sync with serial cable or usb/cradle
unless you have turned it off in activesync

Sorry for my bad english but after installed widcomm stack to my pocket pc, the syncronize by usb cradle don't work. The widcomm bluetooth stack have create this problem: "don't work the syncronize with usb docking station".
If i hard reset the pocket pc and return to MS stack, the syncronize with usb cradle work.

You don't need to hard reset in order to come back to the M$ BT stack. You just need to change some settings in the registry and do a soft reset.
Make a search on threads about that, I think it's great xda2jojo who gave the solution...

install wm5torage.
then before you sync using the usb cradle / cable go in to the "wm5torage and enable, then disable it.
once this is done you will be able to activesync via usb. until a reboot)

where did you find that cab. i was looking for it for hours yesterday, but i can find a cab file, so i can install it on my qtek 9000...
I need that CAB!! I also have a qtek2020 and i'm unable to locate a widcomm stack for it.
I can successfully send files via Bluetooth PPC -> PC,
but I went I try in the other direction, PC -> PPC, I get the error (the Receive all incoming beams option on the PPC was enabled):
i never had issues maybe you need to upgrade the bluetooth software on the pc that is if you use vidcomm / broadcom
not sure if the nativ ms bluetooth stuff even support that it's pretty poor
also your screenshot is soo tiny you can make out what any of the dialogs say
not that i think being able to do so would help any
sorry, I uploaded again my error message screenshot (it has been automatically reduced by the web site because it was more than 19kB).

How do I know if I have the Microsoft of Widcomm bluetooth stack ?
Given the info I can see in the bluetooth app, I think I have none of them.
I've given "dell bluetooth software" a quick search; no really usable hits. You may want to do some more extensive search; for example, on Dell notebook forums. There must be some ways of hacking a Widcomm BT stack on your notebook.
Does it means I have a Dell bluetooth stack ?
I thought the only existing stack were the Microsoft and Widcomm stack.
Anyone having a Dell computer can tell me if I can upgrade my default Dell bluetooth stack ?
Hallo!
I've got an unusal problem...
I'd like to use my PPC (O² XdaMini) as a Bluetooth Dongle.
In my opinion there must be a way to connect the PPC with my notebook (that has no bluetooth integrated) via USB, and then to establish a bluetooth connection between my PPC and any other bluetooth device, which would finally be usable with my laptop.
This procedure is almost the same as using the PPC's integrated modem to get a webaccess with a notebook.
Of course I could buy a USB bluetooth dongle for my laptop. But there could be another way as well, isn't it?
Thx very much for your help, cheers
Sebi
have you got any answers?
I'm also looking for a "way" or " software"" to be able to do what you said. But I couldn't.
Did you have a solution.
This is a very common q - along with asking the same about Wi-Fi.
Currently, this is impossible.
Hello ppl,
First of all please excuse my bad English and sorry if my thread is annoying (since there are many similar threads here), but my case is a bit different.
Before everything let say I have "stock" Leo and PC (without built in bluetooth - it will be external dongle) with Windows Server 2003 (tweaked as workstation).
So, let say I have such case - I am turning on my pc and OS booting stops on login screen, here I want to enter my password not with my pc's keyboard but with my Leo (i.e. my Leo will be wireless keyboard). I have read some threads here and I guess I can do this using wifi connection, Remote Desktop Mobile tool on Leo, and with enabled Remote Desktop on my PC. The most interesting question to me is - can I do this with bluetooth connection?! As I already said bluetooth on my pc will be external (powered by application like BlueSoleil or similar) which means (I guess) that bluetooth connection will not be available when Win booting is paused with login screen (application like BlueSoleil will not be loaded yet). Once I am logged in will be good if I can use my Leo not only as wireless keyboard, but also as mouse, media remote control and so on
I made a lil research and found some remote applications like GRemote but I guess this is also not an option since such applications will not be loaded (before OS booting finalization) too. I have read a lil about Bluetooth PAN, but still not sure that this can be my solution.
I will be so grateful for any info, ideas and help!
Thanks in advance!
