Hey guys, looking to upgrade from my g1 (hardware is soooo last year) to another phone on the T-mobile network. What is the best ANDROID phone on tmobile? I am due for an early upgrade very soon. Thx n advance!
bump? help anyone?
mytouch slide (6-15-10)
I am looking for an upgrade, too, and about to drop 500 on a Nexus One. I'm not a big fan of the MyTouch Slide. Is there spectacular phone coming out? Or is the N1 still the "best" for T-Mobile?
The Galaxy S is everything but confirmed by T-Mobile themselves for a launch here. I would wait for it or an official launch of the Nexus One.
keep in mind samsung = poop! lol
If you have a full upgrade then the N1 is the best phone for use with t-mobile... There is rumors of the stores in the us carrying it, but it maybe more like christmas time till that if even that... But the N1 is an OG now...
thx guys i appreciate it

so is anyone else annoyed out there with t-mobile and the android phone situation? verizon is getting hooked up with really nice phones, and more and more are coming out, but nada for t-mobile other then the slide and a "project emerald" which we know nothing about. i'm seriously thinking about jumping ship. anybody else out there feel the same?
I had to after T-Mobile briqed my cliq with thier stupid update, and refused to replace my phone (even with insurance). Then my daughters G1 pooped out on her. Luckily I was living in an area where T-Mobile dosent have coverage so I was able to weasel out of any ETF's. So now I got the Moment (about to get an EVO), she has a Blackberry, we both have 3g data and my bill is $35 less a month than when I was in T-Mo. Awsome!
Get the Nexus One unlocked & you will be a happy Tmobile camper
I don't know if it'll scratch your itch or not, but the Galaxy S is coming soon.

did it in August and there have been NO REGRETS! it is life without limits compared to the chains of Apple
Evo FTW
I have the Hardware V4 Evo as does my wife (purchased in DEC 2010). I rooted both our phones to unleash the true wonder and LOVE them. I have Rooted friends Evos after convincing them to buy them... They LOVE them...
I absolutely stand by and suggest the EVO
Why haven't you done it already? Iphone?
Hi guys, I just recently got 500$ to throw down on a new smartphone. And I can't decide which one to get. BTW Im coming from a T-Mobile G2
Here are my options (Feel free to reccomend other devices)
1. Nokia N900
2. LG G2x
3. HTC Sensation 4G
I want your opinions on which phone to get, and if there are any other phones I could possibly get for around the $500 or less price range. The phone must work on at LEAST T-Mobile 3G If not 4G.
I would LOVE an SGSII but they cost too much.
between those..
the LG.. its cheaper right?
the N900 is outdated.
but then the HTC sensation is newer then the LG and stronger.
but as allways its the company you trust the most you buy from and the phone you feel for.. but the Nokia is outdated now.. and a non android phone..
Yeah thanks for the help, I wanted a Galaxy S II Really badly but I can't find one for $500 so I gave up and am probably going to go with the next best thing, the Sensation 4G.

G2!
You have a G2 already and are upgrading? Because you already have a G2, try the Nokia I guess. Great hardware but not much comparison to the G2.
http://www.google.com/nexus/
Only good for today- August 3rd 2011!!!
only in USA?
I may go pick one up today .
I may get one, too. Been waiting to upgrade from my Hero CDMA until my 2 year upgrade and get maybe a 3VO or whatever is available in September... but how can I pass up a deal like this?
Anyone think I'll be kicking myself if I get myself stuck with a Nexus S 4G (I'm with Sprint) when all the new phones loaded with awesomesauce come out?
Dont do it. Not if you have to sign a contract.
Just as it says. XDA is such a great source of info and I would like the opinion of choice; cost is not a issue for me.
After 14 years of arguing about Sprint service and billing, I am throwing three EVO 4G's on Craigslist and have moved to the T Mobile $50 per month anything and everything. I know TMo reduces speed after 2g but I am not a big internet download guy. I run my company and talk about 6k minutes a month with integrated database apps. TMo made a fubu when I signed myself and my wife up for the $50 unlimited and gave us two HTC MyTouch Slide 4g's for free. I am leaning toward a swap to the Samsung Galaxy S or S2 but would like your opinions.
The HTC Slide screen is a tad smaller than I like but what are your overall thoughts.
Thanks in advance and the info from XDA has by far been the best source for everything Android.
Galaxy S2
Get the T-Mobile version of the S2 and a spare battery to slip in your pocket with it. The only thing that could beat it this year would be the Verizon Nexus Prime which will run the most current version of Android and be updated first. The Slide 4g is a great phone and you would lose the keyboard, however you can pickup SwiftKey X on the market and you will soon be hitting far less keys in your life. Hope all this helps.
