[REQ]How to activate (secret)service menu on HD 2? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I would know if someone knows a way, like codes(*#....) or keys,to activate the secret menu on HD 2....
thanks in advance

what do you mean with "secret menu" ?? There is no one, but Maybe you mean the Code "*#06#" - for your very own secret IMEI number

I think you mean like the field test (like net monitor on nokia)
*#*#364#*#*

i mean a special kind of menu where is possible to modify particular settings like gsensor degrees,band....this menu can be found on samsung Omnia typing a specific code on the dialer....

Just instal XT HACK Beta2 - Google it
BRGDS

Funny. The *#*#364#*#* works on HD2. ^^'
But I don't understand what's it.

you can also start it by running "fieldtest.exe" which is in the windows folder.
its a tool for engineers to monitor the various signal strengths and cell information.

Switch SIP (txt input method) without stylus?

Is there some hack/app for that?
I'd like to map it to hw button for better one-hand usability, but I couldn't find anything about how to do it...

I'm looking for such an app, too. So please tell us, if you found a solution.
TIA,
BGK
Since no one is stepping up to the mark for now, I'll upload this
All it does is switch to QWERTY sip.
At some point I'll get it to enumerate all SIPs and you can specify them from command line, but I've no idea how to enumerate SIPs yet. I'm only just learning C++!
If you send me the CLSID of the SIP you want, I might knock together custom versions, but I'd rather learn how to enumerate and do a nice solution...

Wow, great. That's one big step forward! Haven't downloaded and tested your app now, but it sounds great!
A few months ago, I started to develop an app like this, but due to limited time I got stuck with it. But this could be helpful for your sipswitch:
Maybe you could get all installed SIPs by reading the registry (look for all entries with the key "IsSIPInputMethod" in HKEY_Classes_Root/CLSID/).
Finally, it would be great being able to select several input methods to switch between them (in my case, I normally prefer the letter recognizer but switch to Intellipad when I'm on the road :wink.
Greetings,
BGK
BGK: thanks for the info.
The procedure to enumerate SIPs is built into the API, SipEnumIM and SipEnumIMProc. I've never written an enumerator in C++, only VB, so I'll learn how to do it one day soon. If anyone cares to demonstrate how, I'll be happy to put it together.
I imagine what the prog will eventually do is enumerate the installed SIPs. Then you can specifiy by command line "SipSwitch.exe Calligrapher" or "SipSwitch.exe Keyboard" etc and it'll switch and popup that sip.

I finished it finally.
I managed to get it do to everything indicated, ie Toggle Sip and switch sip by name, eg SwitchSip Calligrapher will bring up calligrapher.
Bed time

Is it possible to change the SIP in silent mode? I want to change the SIP without the SIP to pop-up after change ? Possible?
Thread will be moved to Q&A (even tho it's MEGAold )

Why? It has vijay's program that has been developed here. How does this not belong in development and hacking?
I hate the SIP panel, and I favor the switch the Input Method via keyboard silently.

In got my VOX today and I have some questions about it..

Well, I bought my vox today.
And it is really cool.
There are a couple of Questions I couldnt fix with the Help File.
For example, at the Home Screen on the Bottum you see: Start and Contacts.
Is there a way to change Contacts to Message or Send Text Message or something like that?
Also, I installed:
http://www.trianglepowers.com/PPC/ViewApp.aspx?ID=56
The install was alright but it doesnt work.
I don't see the Memory Bars on my screen? Do I have to enable that somewhere?
Also I've got a couple of questions about Specific software that I seem not to be able to find.
I think I should post this in a Separate Topic but I dont want to spam the Entire forums full, so i'll ask here
Has anyone made Scapy work on there Smartphone? Using PythonCE?
Also has anyone tried Super Puzzle Turbo Fighter ][ Java on there VOX System?
Since its not meant for it. But I think It should work. Though if it doesn't and I bought it. Well thats just a waste of money..
Is there anyone who used MiniStumbler on a SmartPhone? Since I can only find it for Windows Pocket PC?
And my last Software Question is:
MARS - [Memory Array Redcode Simulator, a machine that simulates a Corewar battle]
is a Programming game?
Is there a port for it in SmartPhone? Since else I should make it myself ^^
Well, I asked a LOT of questions. I hope nobody thinks I am a Leecher
Thanks already!
Cheers,
Robin
I'll answer the questions I know answers to and tell you that if you search you will find an answer, so here goes;
1). Yes. Search XDA for "Soft key changer"
2). That application is for PocketPC, it will not work properly on your Vox which is Smartphone/Standard.
3). Scapy does not work, as far as I am concerned PythonCE for Smartphones is a kludge.
4). There is a Java VM called Esmertec jBed. It should be able to run Super Puzzle Turbo Fighter just fine provided the resolution is within the Vox limits.
5). MiniStumbler does not work on the Vox, however WiFiFoFum does, it is completely free and has the same features.
6). MARS, there is no Windows Mobile or even CE port/release of this.
1). Yes. Search XDA for "Soft key changer"
Thank you!, I didnt know what to look for but now I do ^^
2). That application is for PocketPC, it will not work properly on your Vox which is Smartphone/Standard.
Ah, ok thats why I didnt work. But ofc tht is quite logical. I thought that didnt make a Difference if it was the Home Today Screen..
3). Scapy does not work, as far as I am concerned PythonCE for Smartphones is a kludge.
Ok, well thanks.
I am going to write something like this myself then. If it's done I'll post it here.
4). There is a Java VM called Esmertec jBed. It should be able to run Super Puzzle Turbo Fighter just fine provided the resolution is within the Vox limits.
Ok, thats GREAT! I am going to get myself a Copy right away!
5). MiniStumbler does not work on the Vox, however WiFiFoFum does, it is completely free and has the same features.
That other program is fine aswell. Just wanted to find WifiNetworks. ^^
6). MARS, there is no Windows Mobile or even CE port/release of this.
I found a fix. PocketDOS!! ^^ I just run it on Dos.
Thanks for all this, your a great help =)
Cheers,
Robin

Shorcut to speed dial?

Hi
I've had a good look using the forum search, and cant find this - if i've missed something obvious please point me in the right direction.
I'm looking for a shortcut (or more probably the slash or "" command to append to phoneagent.exe) to speed dial.
I'm using a (custom) WM6.1 ROM on a Raphael. I'm assuming the ROM build isn't relivent as the phoneagent.exe file is windows - and the speed dial option is available (phone/menu/speed dial)
i'm pretty sure this could be mort-scripted, and there may be 100 other apps / manilla etc which will give me speed dial / photo contacts etc on the start page. However what i'm looking for is to assign a*.lnk file to a hardware key to take me into the speed dial list.
I'm hoping this is very similar to assigning a suffix to the tmail.exe to start a new txt message.
Any help is much appreciated
+1
interested too in a way to have a shortcut to the speed dial window
Bump -- Anyone have any ideas?
I don't know of anyone who found a shortcut to speed dial itself.. i'm sorry.

Map it to a hardware key using Tarkims Keyboard Mapper and point to "\Program Files"\MS Voice Command\voicecmd.exe"
a mapped the key but can not see the settings link that must be in: start->settings->microsoft voice command...
and set the check marks for what the program should work...(i`m with windows mobile 6.5 and with the latest version of msvc..)

I would say you need to calm down and wait. Posting to your own thread like you are isn't going to get anyone to help you. In fact it can/could do the opposite and make people not want to post.
*#*#4636#*#*
Is that what you are looking for?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
i said i dont want this code plz read all the post
I don't think it is possible to do this on Android because you would need to interface with the radio code in a way that is not permitted. If I understand you correctly, YOU want to choose which tower the radio code locks onto and not allow it to do it automatically?
Does anyone have a list of the documented radio API that would allow you to make the cell selection? If there is no API call, then it can't be done.
thanks for your answer but why can symbian or nokia phone do this?
i could do this with symbian
each network tower had sepecefic number and with field test.sisx u could see some number of neighbor tower and enter the number and lock on another tower...
i still hope anyone or any android applicatoin provider can bulid this application
i dont know where i sould ask for building this applicatoin if anybody know plz send my requst to them
just dont forget that symbian phones have this app
thanks alot for all
i love my android
I think the reason that Symbian can do this is that was closed source and the manufacturers could do whatever they wanted.
Android on the other hand is open (slightly) and you have to make all calls to radio functions through the Android's Radio Interface Layer (RIL). I think this is because the actual radio code that drives the hardware can be manufacturer specific, so you need a generic wrapper to the upper layers.
If the RIL doesn't offer that functionality, then there is no way in to make it happen.
