Odd screen issues - Not the "newton Ring" - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hey Friends from XDA!
I have these very odd screen issues. What do you make of them? Also, the little "Fingers" seem to be getting worse and there are more of them now...

maybe you know that the touchscreen and the digitizer is fixed together with glue and maybe this glue is dry or something so that it doesn't keep touchscreen and digitizer together....
If you have warranty then send it to at&t
greetz

Thanks!
It is out of warranty though...
Does anyone else have this issue?

Replace your digitizer. I've had the same issue with my Raph and honestly, when I opened up the phone, I found that the "wet stuff" was the glue which held the digitizer on. In a few weeks, it will start to peel off.
It's about $16 to get a new digitizer. So yeah.

Thank you!!!
Sent you a PM...

anyone???????
I have an old Ipaq that does the same thing. My guess when that happened to me is that the digitizer is going bad. If your unit is under warranty then send it off!
If not there are a few options:
1. Nothing. Might be the best option if you are not comfortable with taking your unit apart and putting it back together with no left over parts.
2. Buy a new digitizer (It can be very hard to replace just the digitizer though)
3. Buy a whole new screen and digitizer and put it in
4. Buy a new phone!
Best of luck bud!

Problem In The BATTERY Compartment-Touch Diamond

Hey I was recently cleaning the inside of the battery compartment on the Diamond. I accidentally broke one of the "hinges"(check screenshots).
The phone works perfect but the screen wont turn on, that "hinge" is for the screen power.
Anyone know how I can get it fixed? Thanks. Help is much appreciated.

Hey , Thanks for replying.
Ya I thought I knew it was going in the
Anyways, I still have my HTC warranty, BUT the water sticker got some water on, so that means it is "WATER DAMAGE", and it voids the warranty.
Thanks anyways.

Forgot to remove "stickers" from digitizer

I replaced the digitizer on my sensation 4G a while ago and the entire screen stopped working after like a month. It was also overheating which makes me think it might be a software issue, but I have no way of knowing. So anyway, I was about to take apart the entire thing to try and find the problem and I noticed something while watching a tear-down video. Before the guy in the video put the digitizer in, he removed the sticker things from the digitizer, which you can see in the image below (the yellowish one with blue-green writing). I didn't take them off, and when I did there was a sticky residue left behind. Could this have caused the screen to stop working after a month? If yes, is there a way to get it to work again without getting another digitizer (and LCD probably)?

Black spots on the back camera ??

Yesterday I found a black spot on the picture that was taken by the back camera and in all apps.

}
So then I power off and did not touch it, and in the morning the spots have changed direction.
I tried to shaking the phone but it does not change anymore. = =
**I used a lens protector all the time, but when removed it the problem still exists.
Does anyone know what that cause is ??
How do I solve this problem or RMA is the only way ? :crying:
Help me please.

That sucks dude, honestly the only way to fix that is to RMA your device, and I definitely would. I've seen a lot of pointless RMA's being discussed here at XDA, but if my camera had any type of problem I would send the phone back.

[TEARDOWN] Looking for thermally conductive tape: even ifixit doesn't go that far ...

I bought a replacement midframe for the OPO:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Unfortunately, the frame (like any other I found on other sites) doesn't come with the black thermally conductive adhesive transfer tape (cf ifixit teardown at step 19):
My question is where to buy this kind of tape? I've searched the web to no avail, but that might be because I'm not using the right words?
Any insight welcome!
@valkandroid Something like https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10561 ?

It is the right thing for a replacement copper sheet, indeed! Thanks! :good:
But then my two cents is that it won't do as a replacement of the black film you can see on there under the tweezers (you'll find the same kind of film/tape at the back of the frame):
Pic from www.ifixit.com (ifixit OPO teardown, step 19).
EDIT: found this on 3M:
Not sure that would do the trick though ...
