I have it working on my Droid x its awesome. But some apps that came with it don't work. Other than that the 3d ui looks great. Runs great. Is anyone else using this app? If so what do you think of it?
This has been labeled as warez in xda since it's a leaked beta. But I suppose people can talk about it as long they don't share the apk file..
I've played with it for a while but because I can't choose the default phone and browser app, I stopped playing with it. Also eats lots of ram.

I didn't know that but I can't post links anyways. I can't wait for it to be out of beta. I might buy it.

Did you get the gallery app, weather page that comes with it to work?
Yeah i like the look of SPB more than Honeycomb. I hope its doesn't get bought by RIM like they did to TAT.
Its faster than ADW EX for me.
Anyone get it to work with the evo?

I really doubt that's going to happen. SPB is a big company from what I understand (google them).
---
Anyways, I did try it out, but had to remove it since I kept getting unending "Activating..." and reloading.
But my impressions while I did use it were:
3D look very cool. But not especially useful.
Instant tap and click widgets very useful and great idea.
Lack of app drawer is undesirable.
It has some cool stuff, but isn't anything "groundbreaking" imo. SPB charged consumers about $30 for this on WM and Symbian I believe, doing the same on Android would be quite insane (considering it doesn't add any huge benefits like it did for those OS). I'm curious to see what they plan to charge, and it's something I could consider using as my default launcher... but nothing truly fantastic about it imo.
I used SPB at great lengths with my Windows phones. It was a resource hog, but it still ran smooth and looked awesome.
Didn't know they were actually working on Android...cool
Yep says its not compatible with my device.
works with the epic unfortunately.....

Does it say spb loading overtop of that?
It takes forever to load on my Samsung I9000, but works well once it does. Amazingly smooth and the widgets look great. Could take some getting used to though!
So I've actually had this in the market for a few months now but never actually posted here. This was one of the first apps I created and it just sort of grew and got an assortment of features. So if anyone wants to give it a go here is the market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.flufflydelusions.app.extensive_notes&feature=search_result
If anyone finds this app too complex, do try my other app I've developed to address this issue. It has nearly all the same features though very easy to use. Here is the xda link:

I like this; "So many features, it's bordering on insanity."
This was the first app to make the App of the Week feature on my site. It's still one of my favorite apps I've ever used. Definitely the best notepad I've ever seen!

Awesome! I never knew about that. You should check out my other note app I am working on. Many people thought this app was too complex or the UI to difficult so I am making an app that is feature rich yet simple to use. Here is the link to the thread:

Was the first app I bought for my new Galaxy SII. Crazy amount of features.
+1 for sync! PLEEEEEEASE!!!!
Edit: Nevermind.
Love this POWERFUL app. But love to have the following changes in the upcoming version.
1. Memorize the settings selection in Extra. E.g. "from" and "to" language for Google Translate, Currency converter.
2. Sorted list for Currency. (e.g. ANG > BHD > VEF ...etc). It's quite hard to find the currency I am looking for the current implementation.
Just downloaded it, very nice app, seems to have LOADS of functionality.
Thank you very much
Glad you guys like it. Yes still lots of work to do with it
Just downloaded this. looks awesome, will be testing it today
Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow,
All over your Android phone!!!
Ho ho ho!
Winter is here!
Snow is all over the place. Why not bring it right under your fingers, on your own Android phone. Beyond Snowfall does just that!
Just shake it and the snow will fall all over your screen!!!

This is a fantastic app! I'd love to see this concept expanded into more weather and eventually a weather app.. Rain falling would be amazing! Quick note, while it runs on ICS the settings screen is tiny and not usable.

Hi,
Try to uninstall and reinstall the app. I have noticed a bug happening from time to time on the free version - in the next update I will fix this and also add the option to switch from shake mode to continuous mode.
Plese let me know if reinstalling it fixes the bug.
Thanks for the feedback.

Actually I've spend a good amount of time on finding and applying different optimisations to lower the stress of rendering the overlayed snowflakes; from what I've noticed, on most phone models I tested the app on, the battery drain is barely noticeable. Of course, I have only tested it on a limited number of phones. Could't get my hands on the T989 to test on
Also the battery drain depends a lot on device model, number of snowflakes, if the timeout of the snow is set or it is running continuously, etc. etc.
I still got some improvements on the "menu" for the next update.
Thanks for the feedback!

I've been testing different configurations to see what works best, and this is what I've found.
I get the most optimal performance and least battery drain when set to run continuously, (shake turned off, no time out). It barely affects battery life although it still shows a high percentage in the battery stats - higher than the display, Android system, etc. but the actual battery drain doesn't seem excessive (weird..)
In any other setting, even with shake on, the system kills it after awhile (the notification icon disappears and everything) when the phone is locked/screen blacked out for more than what seems like ten minutes or so. The app then appears to "not work"but it is in fact just closed by the system.

Also, I did not adjust the size or number of snowflakes, used default settings.

Just released Vecorder, a new free android app for estimating the height of objects! Move along the object and let the app derive the height difference through the acceleration sensors of your device! Would love to here some feedback about this app, especially the success/failure rates of your height scans.
Try it out through Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mathfactory.vecorderfree

Nice idea!
Unfortunately it doesn't work on my Desire. but I guess that's because the device is quite old - once I lift the phone it just keeps on counting and counting.

Well, the method *should* work also with older phones (if the acceleration sensors are not extraordinarily crappy or damaged). After some researching it turns out there could be another interesting explanation for those "runaway"-countings: The sound speakers sometimes seem to irritate the acceleration sensors when playing sounds too loud (through sound vibrations). The start signal played by the app could then be interpreted as a movement by the sensors. So, you could try to mute the sound before making a scan. And leave a message if that was the reason.
I will address this issue in an app update the next days by reducing/removing the sounds while sensors are active.
Stay tuned.
Released Vecorder v1.1
Released v1.1 of Vecorder on Google Play. Changelog for this version:
- Shortened start signal to prevent acoustic interference on acceleration sensors
- Slightly improved standstill detection
Keep vecording!

The new version of Vecorder has some adjustments to prevent such runaway readings. Also please try to follow the procedure description given in the app or the google play page. Runaway readings especially do occur if you don't move the device along the force of gravity. If you've done everything correct and it still doesn't work with the new version please report back!
Hey guys,
I know that many of you guys have phones with killer hardware but your phones don't perform so well. Well now, a developer on play store has made an incredible app that can make your phone faster.
This is not at all like stupid apps like clean master that do nothing to speed up your phone. This app uses the gpu to make your phone run faster without any extra battery use.
I did not make this app. I am helping the developer get ore users and I am helping him because it really works very well for me. If you don't believe me, try it out yourself. It is free to download and use.

I don't know...
From a tech perspective I'm curious to know how this works on a non-rooted deivce. The only thing I can think of is that the app is sending touch events to the phone and keeping the cpu and gpu in the higher clock states. If that is the case then if would drain the users's battery pretty quickly especially on older devices.
Other than that I cannot think of a way that this works. Coupled with the fact that the reviews seem pretty shady and this is the second post on xda that I've seem about this I'm gonna call bs on this one.
Unless you show proof otherwise, this is just another one of those 'Android Optimization' apps that ask for way to many permissions. Seriously, external storage access? Phone IMEI permission? Really?? Why does this app need those permissions?
This is the second post I've seen of this app. It seems more like the placebo effect than anything else. Also, Google Play Store reviews seem to be fake or purchased.
After optimization, sliding is very smooth.
Seems to be many "helping" this dev by posting his app on XDA. But there is no need for multiple threads on the same app.
