Has anyone tried that? I didn't like leather pouches until I accidentally got one for my HD2 a couple of month ago and I loved it. It had some nice features:
1) Thin (didn't increase thickness too much)
2) Protecting the phone (the obvious )
3) Automatically cleaning the display (the inside is suede)
Looking for a leather pouch for my Desire now, I accidentally stumbled upon this site:
http://shop.gripis.com/gripis-fuer-htc/desire/
Anyone has such one?
Some images (they have many more colors):

I use one of those for my desire, they had it on sale at the phone shop for 20 euro (in Holland) quite expensive but a must have in my eyes.
There is a little magnet to close up, which is not very strong but does his job.
And what I like most is that you can pull your phone out by pulling the *cord* up.
Hey, thanks fro the answer. A couple of questions:
1) Is it slim? Does it add much thickness? I guess the *cord* also adds a bit?
2) What's the leather look/feel like inside and outside? Is it suede inside and leather on the outside?

1) Well.. clearly it adds some width to the phone, but its not dramatic and still acceptible for my jeans pocket (still smaller then my wallet)
The cord or whatever to call it also adds a little more on the top side, but also acceptible.
2) I didn't notice the one you displayed was of a different brand then mine sorry.
I use one from 'Valente' so I am not really sure I can compare the leather outside quality and the suede inside with the model you showed but mine's leather quality feels good and has good grip.
Inside suede is not that soft as I would imagin when thinking of suede and doesn't really clean my screen alot but it at least feels soft enough to not worry about scratches lol.
Here is a pic of the exact one I use:
*Never mind I am not allowed to post it, but if you google (images) the following query you will find it: valenta-deluxe-leather-pocket.jpg
My friend got one last week.
He ordered the black one from ebay.de for €23.99.
But i (he too) dont like it. Its very thick on both sides. It makes the Desire about 6mm thicker. But you cannot compare it with the one is included with the HD2. The protection is much better und you have also a nice microfibre inside the pouch. But another point is, the pouch is a bit to small for the Desire. The phone dont completly slide in. 2mm are completly unprotected.
So i've decided to order the official HTC pouch. http://www.amazon.co.uk/GENUINE-HTC...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274276583&sr=8-1
Looks pretty nice and its just 10,99!!
going to post some impressions after receive!
*edit*
also in my opinion the pouch doesnt look that nice like on the pictures you've posted.
the leather is very shiny and has not this suede look. The creased think doesnt make it look like a vintage style. Its obviously made by the manufacturer.
sorry for language

Funny how the original pouch is going for half the price these knockoffs go!
i dont say its a knockoff or something like that.
a few days ago i surfed on grifis homepage. I klicked on the Desire pouch and i was linked to the iPhone description (thats fixed now). Also many colours were available on ebay before the grifis shop got them.
So i think its the pouch for the iPhone and not one esspecially designed for Desire. The iPhone is 4mm shorter... thats whats missing in my eyes.
Here is a short review for the official HTC Pouch http://www.htcinside.de/android/htc-desire/die-perfekte-tasche-fuer-das-htc-desire.html
sorry its german, but look at the pictures on the bottom. You see the pouch is much thinner than the grifis one.
The qualtiy of the grifis one is amazing. but it doesnt fit perfect and in my eyes its to thick.

So I picked up THIS case from Amazon there what I think...

Pros:
-Makes typing easier
-Protects phone from scratches
-Makes phone a lot less slippery
-Nice feel in the hand
-Actually makes buttons easier to press for me
-Disguises phone (if you don't want everybody to know you have a N1)
-Stopped me from lightly tapping the outside of the screen while holding it so I don't have those inaccuracy problems because of lack of multi-touch
Neutral:
-Seems to block the bottom microphone a bit but people say I still sound crystal clear.
Cons:
-Phone doesn't look as good
-Blocks dock connectors
Should you buy it?
I think so it made my N1 a lot more usable and I feel a lot more comfortable with it now because without it my N1 feels very fragile.
I ordered this case, im glad its good, one question, is it a lint magnet?

As far as I can tell, no.
Whats' the name of that cool clock & weather widget? Been searching the market for something like that...
slightly off topic.... are you using HTC's Sense or some other apps/tweaks?

It's called Weather Widget(s) you need to get the donation version for the flip clock. No special workarounds for Sense it's just a widget that looks like HTC's flip clock

Thank you so much on that review. I just might consider on buying that case.
I have the translucent version of this case. I think it looks slightly better than the black one, though not by much.
I pretty much agree with the OP's review. The dock connectors at the bottom are blocked, so I guess after the docks come out I may be looking for something else. It's fine for now.
It does keep the camera from getting scratched up when the phone is laying on a table.
And no, it's not much of a lint magnet.
I have the same case as the OP... and I agree on his spot on review!
But... (at least for me) it is a "lint magnet".... as I think most silicon cases are.
When the "docks" come out, I think you will need to remove almost any case in order for it to fit. All "external" cases add some bulk.
My plan it to install a full body film and *still* use the silicon case.
Here is why...
I am a little anal when it comes to "protecting" my phone. I paid full price for this bad boy, and want it to last. My G1 after about 16 months still looked like it was just out of the box.
When you use these silicon cases... dust and other crap still get inside of them. Then when you take it in and out of your pocket, that stuff acts as a really fine sandpaper and after a while you will notice some wear. Now, I am not a big fan of the whole phone film protector, but I plan on keeping it hidden under my case.
How is taking the phone in and out of your pocket? Does the silicone make it more difficult?

Maybe a little microfiber or felt inside the case would make for a better fit and better protection? I'm assuming the inside is just plastic...?
Just got mine today and it feels great in my hand. Its a little bit loose around the sides, but I feel it's much more protected than with out one.

not really, its a smooth rubber.
...with the case on, it will not fit in the nexus one soft sleeve, but it fits perfect in my g1 sleeve
As per subject really.
I've currently got a gel type case, does the job as it should, but you only realise how much bigger it makes the phone look when you take it off (!)
The only 'slim' case I've seen is the barely there (in my opinion it is clearly there!).
I know the iphone 3Gs has an extremly slim, transparent case, that covers all for edges of the phone. Now that one is a true 'barely there' case!
Anything similar out there for the Deisre?
AFAIK there's nothing slimmer than the "barely there".
I ordered an ebay (way cheaper) version of the Barely There because it looked great and also have a sick design.
A lot a members said it's thin and dope (yes, the case is on... even if you can't really see it, hence the name ).
It even comes with an extra screen protector so you don't have to worry about screen scratches.

Yep, I've seen these on eBay too, I wasn't overly concerned about getting it cheaper but more for the points I described in my original post- i.e something that covers all four edges (with cut outs) and it needs to be transparent.
Please be careful with the cheap ebay ones. Bought one for my girlfriends blackberry, but the dye used to colour the case rubbed off on her hand and face, and eventually permanently stained her phone.
Cheap cases are rarely worth it.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I too was in the same situation as you. Had a gel case but still wanted the phone to be slimmer.
So I bought one of these. The full body one:
http://www.bestskinsever.com/htc-desire-skin
It's very good and can put it in my pocket and not worry and not be bothered about putting it down on hard surfaces too. The only thing is doesn't offer is protection from being dropped.
Phil
Ok, so received all of them yesterday and they're great.
Unlike what wnp_79, there's no problem with them, no dye, really great touch feeling.
I won't pay 15 or 20 euros, from companies who are buying then same stuff from HK and then selling it back 10 times higher.
I paied 6 euros for 2 cases and they're great
Hard slim case + 1x screen protector:

Flexigrip soft case + 1x screen protector:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270586284031&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I think it because of the two tone of the Desire (light grey on top and dark grey on the bottom) that makes the 'barely there' cases stand out a bit too much.
I suppose if there was transparent one available, I'd give it a go.
EDIT: Oh this seems promising:

I did the exact same thing. I bought a carbon effect one from ebay (for next to nothing) to see how it looked, felt, protected the phone etc. and when it arrived, i was pretty happy. It looked decent enough and seemed to be of reasonable quality for the price so i put my phone in (which seemed to require an abnormal amount of effort) and then it appeared that the case was a little too tight. I then spent the next 20 minutes attempting to get my DHD out of it and when i finally did the imitation leather/material was starting to tear so i threw it away.
I also decided to buy myself a nice cheap Desire S style silicone/gel case from ebay (once again, for next to nothing) and i couldn't be happier! It offers more than ample protection and it looks great. So i'd advise that if you're on a budget that you stick to a gel case, unless you want to spend much more money on a higher quality leather flip case.
I think I've bought the same carbon case. It's a pain in the butt to get off lol
I purchased my case from Ebay uk the Seller username is phone_giants and the item is listed as"HTC DESIRE HD MOBILE PHONE LEATHER CASE COVER POUCH" hope this is useful.
PDair case
I've used PDair on both my Streak and Inspire, good quality and selection.
Me too, ideal for attaching to your belt as well as it comes with a belt clip, also have the htc one which I use to put into my shirt pocket, comes with a pull cord to pull it out of the case and protects the phone in your pocket/bag etc
I was quite rightly introduced (by the largest Vegan site on the planet) to the plight of animals when it comes to the meat and leather industry. So you might want to consider a TPU case or something else, especially after seeing these videos (i made a quick page).
I use a TPU case and it's been great alongside a separate sleeve. Thankfully there are many other options out there too.

Hi there!
I purchased this:
http://www.pielframa.com/htc-desire-hd-imagnum-cases.htm
The good:
Excellent general fit, durability and overall protection.
In a pinch the lid can double as a kickstand although within a rather narrow angle span.

The bad:
The fit around the micro usb port is a tad too tight but useable.
The ugly:
85€ + 15€ delivery to Greenland
Noreve looks cheaper but I have no experience with their products.

All in all it´s the best case i ever had.
Oh - BTW. The belt clip looks decent enough but i never use it. I just stick the whole thing in a pocket somewhere. Pants usually.

Hello 8.9 users . I know a lot of people prefer leather cases or smart covers, but what i am looking for is a good soft neoprene case that will protect my tab against eventual drops or scratches, when i'm carrying it around. I don't like the ones where you have to stretch them to get the tab inside, and i much prefer the ones with a zip on the side.
I was thinking of getting something like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Red-Slim-Ne...ltDomain_0&hash=item337143b173#ht_1152wt_1396 but it ships from USA and i don't like the shipping costs and delivery time. The other thing, it lists as a case for tab 10.1 too, that means the 8.9 will probably "swim" in it a little bit. Can anyone confirm this?
Has anyone found something similar to this one (or better), that is preferably shipping from Europe? Please do share what kind of neoprene case did you get for your 8.9.
Can't be that no one likes neoprene?
Yah...most cases are leather or pleather. =) Here are a couple links that might help.

iLuv ISS2102 Case for web Tablet:
http://www.amazon.com/iLuv-Padded-Neoprene-8-9-Inch-Samsung/dp/B005JK62T4
I am planning on getting the Belkin Leather case. They make a neoprene one though too. I don't think you will have too many options other than maybe making one for a DIY project. In the long run though it maybe cheaper just to the pay the shipping and get what you want. Time is money!
Make your own tablet case:

What is the shipping like for you over seas?
I just picked up this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/29064036495...NX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_5130wt_952
It fits perfect. The Model is the A7s. Ignore the models specifically labeled "8.9", they're too big. The A7s fits perfect with no stretching. It's not neoprene, but a kind of pleather. However, it has a memory foam layer that makes it very cushy. It zips all the way open on three sides. I also got this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Case-for-Ga...Accessories&hash=item45ffdeff77#ht_2358wt_814 which also fits perfectly. When the plastic cover is on, it still fits great in the memory foam case.

Looks good. Can you post pictures when you get everything all set up?
Here's an ebay post with a different colored plastic cover, but is the same thing. More pictures. www.ebay.com/itm/Galaxy-Tab-8-9-P73...?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item3a702df2dd. As far as the case, it looks pretty much identical to the pictures in the listing. The fit is exact for The 8.9. There is no extra space, either height or width.
I might be a lil late here, but I just recieved the following case, and love it.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006WBVU50/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/192-3119395-3706453
most of the cases i picked up were for all galaxy devices so my tablet has a lot of free space to bounced around.
Just wanna let you guys know that i recently got the iLuv sleeve for my 8.9. If you want neoprene and whole lot of protection and soft materials, stop looking, because this is the best one. It fits perfectly, no bouncing around. Payed 24 euros for it, but it's worth it.
Has little triangles on both sides, that add to overall rigidity and extra protection if it accidentally drops, since they soak up the impact. It also has a pocket on the outside, where you can put your smartphone or other accessories. All in all, it's a very nice and high quality sleeve, i'm very happy with it. Here are some photos:

Hi all,
Was able to get a hold of this case from Orzly for the Nexus 6P… Here's my review of it…
It's dual layered, both layers are made from the same material but they both have different properties. The first layer is a flexible rubber TPU and the back is a tougher harder material. The 6P is already quite a heavy device, the Air Stand case isn't too heavy so this helps to not turn the phone into a brick! The back also has a soft touch matt texture which feels good to hold in the hand, although made from plastic, it feels far from plastic. The matt coating definitely gives it a premium feel.
This is definitely the first type of case that I have seen with this particular type of design and I have to admit, it works and looks good! I have the silver 6P so through the tiny holes, you can see the colour of the device, it's not overpowering or doesn't end up looking like a pattern on a bad Christmas jumper. The patterned hole design is a thumbs up for me.
The case also features a simple kick stand to put the phone in a horizontal position. It's a feature that has been around for a while now, so although not mind-blowing, it's handy when watching anything on the phone or just keep on a table when I'm not using it.
I had a Nilkin screen protector on the device, but when I installed the case onto the phone, the screen protector began to lift. Wasn't sure if there was going to be compatibility issues so got in touch with Orzly who confirmed that the case will work with their screen protectors but can not comment on the compatibility with other branded screen protectors.
Overall I would definitely recommend this case to anyone who owns a Nexus 6P that's looking for something different. It's not quite used to what I've seen before but once tested it's grown on me and i really like it and am constantly being asked by people where they can buy this case
Here's a few pictures, if you would like to see more pictures or have any questions pls let me know

Thanks for this info, its look quite nice but I've not seen this case anywhere. Where did you buy it from and do they have them in other colours? And you mentioned dual layers, so does the inner layer have matching holes too - because i quite like the idea of the phone showing through. Final question I promise is this bulky? I know you said its not heavy but i am really not one for the otterbox style cases ...

It looks quite slim, I don't think it's too bulky. Also I saw this picture on their website which should answer your question regarding the matching holes on the inner layer.
It's dual layered around the edges which is good as the phones more likely to drop on the sides, edges or corners more than anything if you drop it!
Is the stand sturdy .... Or is it a flimsy piece of plastic? I hope to not notice it's there unless needed, then pull it out and it holds phone with no issue
What are your thoughts?

Based on the pictures alone, it looks sturdy enough, but bearing in mind it's a very small kick stand, but have seen something similar on other branded cases and not seen or heard any complaints.
Thanks for the review! Definitively one of the case's i will have to consider.
Can you use the kickstand to use the phone more easily one handed?

This looks like what I have been looking for but i am unsure of the terms used to describe it. Will this be OK for the "Honor 6 Plus" ?
