Touch Tools for HTC 2.0 Suite is a powerful set of applications that lets you modify different settings on your device that would not otherwise be available to you.
There are currently 9 applications that make up the full Touch Tools 2.0 Suite:
Touch Tools - This is the main interface for tweaking various system related settings.
Boot Manager - This give various options like Soft Reset, Hard Reset, Bootloader Mode, Suspend, Power Off and Disconnect Data. Can also integrate to Long Press End Key as an Action Screen.
Snatch Screen - Allows for taking screen shots on the phone by shaking the device which stores them to the specified save location. Includes various options.
Rotation Manager - Allows you to add Auto Rotation for applications you choose. Includes automatic Window Info detection: ClassName, EXE Path etc. Has List Import/Export support.
Slim Volume - Allows you to add support for the Slimline Volume display to applications you choose. Includes automatic Window Info detection and List Import/Export support.
Network Folders - Allows you to make use of your Pocket PC's networking capabilities by mapping shared folders on your PC to your device. Also supports Samba/Linux Shares.
PinchZoom Manager - Lets you add Pinch to Zoom support to your applications easily. Includes automatic Window Info detection and List Import/Export support.
HotKey Utility - Extends the End Key Long Press functionality so you can launch a custom application or a specific command: Soft Reset, Hard Reset, Power Off, Enter Bootloader Mode or Disconnect Data.
System Viewer - Allows you to terminate / view running programs and processes and see a list of Device Services. Includes Export option and Compact Mode.

Okay, after working really hard to add HD2 compatibility to Touch Tools, you may be asking yourself, "Why do we need another tweaking app?"
Well thats a good question, This app offers more or less everything that the other tweaking apps do, but in addition, you can do the following:
- HARD reset capability
- Enable / Disable Manila Clock flips at the click of a button
- Easy to use White List manager for rotating apps with import and export functions.
- Easy to use volume control utility to decide which apps you want to use the slim volume control while using the volume buttons.
- GPS management so you can tweak your settings.
- Phone related settings
- AUTO DATA DISCONNECTION that works
- DATA CONNECTION manager, allows you to turn on/off connections and enable/disable 'Always On' status.
- Show or hide the default games: 'Bubble Breaker' and 'Solitare' from the click of a menu option.
Plus there will be lots more coming! Alot of this development is already complete and working however, there are still some HD2 specific features to implement.
Please post your views and ideas of what you would like me to include.

Hi I have considered using the SDK already and decided to make my own controls in the end to get the functionality exactly how I want them.
I also wanted to steer away slightly from the official HTC look and make something with a clear, concise and easy to use GUI.
I stuck with .NET CF 2.0 due to past issues with custom ROMS on the TD2.
Touch Tools for HTC has now been released!

hi, what is the issue you are having with this setting? It will only work correctly if there are no 3rd party cabs installed that modify the start menu layout.

I just installed Touch Tools on my HD2. I like the user interface settings options, and a face down mute ring??!! Genius! A lot of the phone settings should have come with the phone, so you are right in the fact that we should take advantage of this tool set. So far hasn't affected any of my third party aps, just an LED one which I just had to turn back on after. Great work.

Thanks, the LED app you mentioned, you should be able to remove that now as Touch Tools has an option for enabling/disabling the LED notifications in settings which is probably why it interfered with your LED app.

What a great app. I have two questions:
1)I installed on an TMous HD2, but the HD2 options is deactivated. Just "greyed out" on the menu. How can I get to these settings?
2)how embarrassing to ask this but...How the dickens do you save the settings? I don't see a save button, and when I exit the settings are not saved.

Hi, thanks for letting me know, I need you to go into Device Information in Touch Tools, click on the 'Hardware' tab and tell me the EXACT Device Model ID. I based the activation of the HD2 Options menu on the device model ID. So for example here, the device model is: 'HTC HD2 T8585'. If yours is different to this then please let me know because I will then have to patch Touch Tools and release an update.
Secondly, to apply the settings, you need to go to the Options menu and click 'Apply Settings'.

If you are a T-Mobile US HD2 owner, you will have experienced a bug where the HD2 Options menu was disabled after loading Touch Tools.
Please re-download the CAB in the first post as this issue has now been resolved.

TD2 Tools - Programs Tab Fix - Released: 26/08/2009
If you are experiencing problems and bugs with the Programs Tab, you need to search for a patched manila file to make it function correctly. The setting option in TD2 Tools only Shows or Hides the Programs Tab.
so i guess you need to see what's in diamond+hd tweak & advanced config & sktools and pick from there whatever relevant for topaz.
A method for preventing the web browser from ever attempting to use 3G / EDGE for data connections while still allowing data for MMS.

yes, there is a way to prevent the PDA from connecting to 3G and EDGE every time: settings - all settings - connections - advanced network - in the HSDPA/HSUPA tab, select enable HSDPA only. I did this and I've no problems...

Some suggestions:
-TouchFLO: option to choose between wm6.5 start (or 6.1 start menu) & manila programs tab.
-Comm manager: option to set 8 buttons & choose which. (in advanced config i can choose 8 buttons & press ok it writes error but still saved).
-Camera: high res panorama, additional modes thats not enabled by default.
-Enable/Disable notifications manager.

no, my program has nothing to do with this one, however, it looks really impressive compared to mine. I have designed mine with simplicity in mind, so it will only contain relavent settings to tweak.

I installed it! It is nice... It would be good however, if the user (especially if he is of average knowledge, like me! ), knew what the default value in each setting is. The settings for each item are read from the registry upon application starting. so if you install this app after a hard reset, you will see straight away what the defaults are as to which boxes are checked and which ones arent!

- FingerKB updated with multi-language support and a different skin (again by giannis86). Skin graphics optimised to 8-bit BMP to save resources.
- FingerKBConfig now works, goto Settings->input->options and select input languages, configure smileys and all that good stuff.
- AE Buttons plus now supported due to a slightly different keyboard driver. Tested with backlight button launching 3 seperate apps depending on how many times the button is pressed.
ROM changes for v2.2 :-
- RealVGA added. 96, 128, 192dpi supported for all pre-installed apps
- note 3rd party apps may or may not support non-192 DPIs
- Look in settings->system for realvga option panel
- FingerKB (skin by giannis86) is fully integrated into the ROM. This took a bit of fiddling and hexediting, but it now works beautifully in all DPIs.
- All other SIP input methods removed (MS keyboard, block and letter recogniser). It saves 1.7mb of space.
- FingerKB makes "bing" noises on each keypress by default, just switch off "event" sounds in "sounds and notifications" panel to disable this.
- Note the finger keyboard config app is not included as it doesn't work on the fully integrated version.
- TCPMP is now bimbam69's version, which supports skinning and integrates better with the mini Windows Media core
- WMA9Pro audio is now supported, using the native windowsmedia DLL
- WMV9 is fully supported, using the native WM DLL

This rom has no bootsplash screens, so you will see a black screen on boot, followed by a white screen.
Tap the white screen to begin using the device on 1st boot.
Drivers, XIP section, registry, pagepool and filesystem have all been optimised for speed and RAM.
Every single EXE, DLL, MUI, CPL and plugin has been made into a module - with the exception of .NET libs (can't be modular) and one or two specific DLLs/EXEs that will not execute in modular form. Again this saves memory on 64mb machines and speeds up access to executables on both 128 and 64.

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem, but I think you're saying there's a problem where backlight goes dark and can't be controlled by the slider on neuPower. Igf that happens, just hold the power buttoin for 2 seconds and backlight will switch on again. It's a problem I've encountered before with this backlight driver, but it generally only happens once per flash . When you have done the power button trick once, it shouldn't happen again.

Yes this is problem, the slider is closed, the screen is dark, but as my power cord, the screen works, but you get it the screen goes out

So, I put the phone working with WiFi, not connected is because it does not require connected by cable to the laptop so switched several programs, after 2 hours I saw the phone, I saw that he was connected with WiFi, go to Settings and confirm that there is connected to my network so I was just pleased that everything has ok,and hop in removal of the cable connecting the laptop and the phone cut off, I had no WiFi, so far I have had this problem, I changed 10 roms,and no such problem, only 2 did not want rom dase associated with WiFi, respectively, tested with different radio roms but no effect and thus erase those roms.
It turned out that WiFi works but for a while and when you remove the cable connection fails

What's numbattery?
[edit] I've just found and installed numbattery, and it's working - 76% shown in title bar. Check to see if you have "show title bar clock" disabled in clock settings, otherwise the clock overrides the battery display. Also be sure to reboot after installing or uninstalling numbattery.
Also - yes this rom does not support mp3 ringtones - if anyone can find a small lightweight windowless mp3 player app, then i can fix that. The alternative is to cripple this sleek fast rom by installing many megabytes of windows media player, and I'm not prepared to do that. A large part of this rom's speed comes from the fact that the horrible windows media subsystem is replaced by smaller faster apps.
How about an mp3-to-wav converter built into the rom as a compromise? I'm certain I can find a suitable free app to do the job.

Solution: Open the "downloads" app from your homescreen, hit menu, and select download using wifi network. Then hit menu again, and re-select download using mobile network.

Solution: This is due to the Chinese devs at miui.com slowly implementing the new UI.
(using root explorer as an example)
Go to menu - settings - programs - manage applications - root explorer
Scroll down to "Compatibility mode" and toggle.
This will make root explorer usable.
This workaround may not work on all apps!
It's annoying, yes, but it's what we have at the moment.
Screen flashing black/white when scrolling
Solution: Toggle compatibility mode for that app. If it's on, turn it off. If it's off, turn it on.
No 720P video
Waiting for the Chinese to implement this. Or for CM to implement this. Currently not available on any cm7 or miui supported phone.
Some apps force closing i.e. Engadget, Mint.com, (tried uninstalling and re installing from market)
Solution: try running in compatibility mode, some apps are not 2.3 ready.

The first step: selecting apps
Various apps will greatly enrich your cell phone, so firstly let’s select the apps to your taste.
Click Net Disk on the desktop, and you’ll see MIUI has prepared a variety of amazing apps for you, including notes, audios, videos and IM and so on. You are free to choose and install what you like! (Please make sure your phone is connected to wifi.)
> You may also download more apps in electronic markets. You need to install the corresponding market (some can be downloaded in “Net Disk”), and then go get more apps.
> I’d like to install apps downloaded from the computer, what should I do? First copy the downloaded file (.apk) into your SD card. Then pick up your phone, click “File Manager” on the desktop, find the file you copied and click to install it.
Tip: How to copy files from the computer to the phone? First connect your phone to your computer via data cable, pull down the notification panel from the top of the phone, click “USB connected”, and then click "Turn on USB storage”.
After copying, do not forget to select the option of “Turn off USB storage”, otherwise "File Manager” in the phone will not be able to find the sd card, as it is being occupied by the computer.
Now I have a lot of apps, how to put them in order?
All apps successfully installed are listed on the desktop, however, they may not be in the order you want, how to put them in order?
> Long press an app icon and then you may move it freely. When it is moved to the screen border, the screen will automatically switch to the next screen.
> How to add a screen? Use two fingers to pinch on the desktop to enter screen thumbnail mode. Then you may add or delete screens.
> How to delete an app? Long press the app icon you want to delete, drag it on top of the trash box and click OK to delete it.
The second step: let's make your phone different.
A phone without style is nothing remarkable, so let’s make your phone different!
> Changing wallpaper: Click Menu button on the desktop, select “Change Wallpaper” to replace the wallpaper. In addition to the existing wallpaper in the phone, thousands of pieces of wallpaper are also available online.
> Changing theme: Themes make great changes to your interface style. Click “Theme Manager” on the desktop to select the theme you like. Also, more online themes are available online.
> Selecting ringtones and more: click “Settings” on the desktop to set call and notification ringtones. In “Personalization” under “Personal” tab, you may find more options.
The third step: it’s time for some advanced techniques!
Well, you are no longer a beginner now, so let’s learn some advanced techniques.
> Adding widgets on the desktop: press the Menu button on the desktop, select "Edit Mode", and then click the icon on the upper right corner to access the interface of “Add Widgets”. Choose your favorite widget on the top, and then drag it to the screen below.
> Using folders to manage desktop apps: in the interface of “Add Widgets”, drag [Folder] to the desktop. You may drag multiple apps into folders to classify them. After opening the folder, you may click the edit icon in the upper left corner to rename the folder.
> Using toggles panel to improve efficiency: drag the notification panel down from the top, click "Toggles" to go to the toggles panel (It goes to the toggles panel in default of notice.) On the panel are listed the most commonly used toggles, you may click to quickly enable or disable a toggle. Long press on the icon will launch the settings for that icon.

Lei Jun is ex-Kingsoft CEO (like Microsoft), co-founder of Joyo.com (sold to Amazon), now Chairman of Great Wall Club and Angel Investor. His newer product, MIUI under his start-up Xiaomi, is stirring rumours about an OEM partnership.
MIUI is a 3rd party Android ROM tailored for the Chinese market. Think about it like a layer on top of your Windows OS on your computer, to make it more customised and personal, but on mobile. From their website it says it enables faster dialling, better security and a big library of themes and skins.
Last weekend at a developer conference there was some chatter about MIUI partnering with a big OEM. We can speculate it could be with Samsung, Motorola or LG because all are bringing their Android phones into the Chinese market. We have reason to suspect the OEM partner is Motorola because as an American based OEM, they know less about Chinese user behaviour compared to Korean based Samsung or LG. It has also been reported that Dianxin, another Android ROM incubated under Innovation Works is partnering with Sharp. Motorola needs to make a good impression to stand out in China, where competition with other Android phone’s is fierce

I could not get it, until yesterday two friends both confirmed with me, Xiaomi is not just about designing mobile applications, but designing a phone, I mean a real phone.
Looking at Lei Jun’s recent investment, I am totally impressed,
UCWeb – the leading Mobile browser (our previous coverage);
Xiaomi – one of the most promising iPhone/Android development company which already released several applications including Xiaomi Reader (iBooks like) and Miliao (a copycat of Kik);

Reject Call : When you are not available to answer the phone, you may slide up the panel to reject the call and to send a message to the caller at the same time.

Put media files into the Media/Audio/ringtones directory in the SD card, (If there is none of this directory, please create one manually) and then select in Sounds in Settings.
Note: there are three directories under Audio, corresponding to the following tones:

No. Wimax LEDs are used for notifications. That's the LED on the right side of the ear piece.

Drag the file to your SD/MIUI/THEME
Then you'll see the theme in the theme manager
Also make sure you did a full wipe. Some of these issues have been fixed in the ROM that should be released tonight or tomorrow

Introduction
Projectivy Launcher is a launcher dedicated to Android Tv, offering special features for Xiaomi family projectors/TVs.
With the new major version that extends the use to all Android TV devices, and for better understanding, the original thread has been split :
The original thread will focus on Xiaomi/Fengmi/Wemax projectors, offering a faq, links to custom recoveries, guide for rooting, links to download stock ROMS and OTAs.
This thread will focus on the launcher itself.
Description
It's a multi purpose launcher that can be used without root, but adds interesting features on rooted ones. It can be installed on most Android Tv devices (to provide automatic boot on HDMI input for example). A bunch of functionnalities are dedicated to devices with amlogic/mediatek SOCs and/or Xiaomi devices.
It can be used as a launcher replacement, or as a standalone app if you only need a side feature.
You don't need root to use this app, except for the features maked with [ROOT] below.
Here are the current features :
Global UI : long press any card/icon to display a contextual menu allowing you to start/uninstall app as well as hide or rearrage it as you like (ie : move or add it to another section)
Input :
Shortcuts to change source to HDMI 1 to 3, AV, as well as opening an onscreen menu to choose the source. These will be useful if you disable the stock launcher, as you will probably lose the stock widget with Tv preview and change source buttons.
Tv Apps :
... : Android Tv dedicated apps will appear here
Mobile Apps :
... : any app not dedicated to Android Tv (whose icon usually doesn't display on Android Tv launchers) will appear here
Display :
Display settings : Add ability to create different display profiles (premium version required for more than 1) that can be applied automatically when changing input source and dynamic range. Most features that could be changed in previous versions (zoom, input lag...) of this app can be added to a display profile and thus automatically available upon boot with no action on your side. The profile editor can also display many calibration screens to help you setup your device as you need. Unless you're using a device based on Android Tv 6, you'll need to have a rooted device. If it's not working for you, you can probably benefit from the calibration patterns it can display (FHD, 4K, Jitter, HDR, DV...)
Zoom : Changes the Zoom in/out factor for video display (external inputs as well as any video player) [ROOT] and also enables access to stock zoom feature if available (to zoom/unzoom full display, not only video, but can't go below 80%)
Force 4k UI rendering [ROOT] : this may cause lags when rendering the UI

Override stock launcher : try to replace the stock launcher even if it hasn't been disabled (which is still the preferred way)

Rename HDMI inputs
Disable HDMI inputs so that they're not displayed in the launcher
Prefer internal Tv View : replace the stock HDMI Input app with a custom one. It doesn't support CEC (only system apps can do it), but it might be useful for specific usage
Power control
Startup to : android, specific app or specific Hdmi input
Automatically shutdown when HDMI signal stops (experimental) : trigger a power off when the Hdmi Input app exits automatically (which usually means the input device has been shut down)
Prevent automatic shutdown when idle : some systems automatically shutdown if no user interaction has happened recently, this can prevent this behavior (useful if you start your device with CEC and never touch its remote control
Enable internal idle detection : if use did not touch the remote control for the given time, sned a poweroff or standby command
Device settings : launches the projector/tv/box settings
Additional settings : launches amlogic/mediatek settings app (if available)
Android settings : launches the Android stock settings
Engineering menu : launches the [MiTv/FengOs/Fengmi] engineering menu
Applications :
Remote Control : displays a QR code to my Web Remote Control, working on any device, dedicated to MiTv devices based on Android 6
Freeze stock apps [ROOT] : freezes/hides/disables stock apps/bloatware (for unrooted devices, please check below, in Remarks section, point 3). On MIUI, make sure you install another keyboard (ie "LeanbackIme Keyboard", from the "Install 3rd party apps" menu) as it will disable the stock one. Possibility to specify a package name to disable manually.
(Un)Freeze launchers [ROOT] : (un)freezes/hides stock Xiaomi TvHome, FengOs launcher or Google Leanback launcher. Make sure you have another compatible launcher installed before freezing it (for unrooted devices, please check below)
Install 3rd party apps : lets you choose apps to install. Most will require Aptoide Tv installed. Good news, it's able to download and install it automatically ! If your device is rooted and is on Android 6.01, Google services/apps can be installed too (see more in the Google Apps section) :victory:
Uninstall Google Apps [ROOT] : if you installed Google Apps / services with the feature described above, you can safely uninstall them (but why would you want that ?)
Freeze Google Play [ROOT] : prevents google Play self-update. This is useful on some models, where new Google Play app refuses to install apps due to some incompatibility issue (such as Zodiac)
System :
Accessibility Service : This is a multi-purpose service, that fixes Google Play on Googlized xiaomi devices, binds the stock remote control "Voice recognition" button to Google Assistant (if you installed Google Services), allows your device to automatically start an external input or app on boot, adds a shortcut to open these tools or change picture profile by double pressing the menu button... *** In one word : you want it enabled ***
Custom Props Override [ROOT/MAGISK] : changes some custom props so as to get a more stock Android Tv behavior. This will enable Google services disabled by Xiaomi, allow your "Usb debugging" option to stick across reboots, allow bypassing safetynet... If you install Google Services you need to install them.
About :
ProjecTivy Launcher : displays details about this app
This device : displays many details about this device, and temperature sensors values is available.
This wallpaper : shows details regarding the wallpaper currently displayed
Remarks :
Using any of the above features (even [ROOT] ones) should be safe and shouldn't prevent you from installing stock OTA updates afterwards (no system file is modified). If anything goes wrong, don't hesitate to tell me, but anyways, at worst, factory reset or flashing the full stock ROM will fix any issue, so there isn't any risk of bricking your device.
Except if you have stock launcher or leanback launcher installed (which will force you to use them if installed), if multiple other compatible launchers are installed, a popup will ask your choice at each boot and home button press.
Concerning the (un)freeze apps/launcher, if your device is not rooted, this app currently can't do it automatically, but you can do it manually by connecting a computer to your device with ADB and executing a few command lines :
enable "usb debugging" in your device's "Developer" options (in settings) (to enable "developer options", see here)
Download adb for your OS (check here)
Start command line (terminal)
type adb connect IP_OF_YOUR_DEVICE:5555 to connect through the network
type adb shell to open a shell console
to freeze an app type : pm uninstall -k --user 0 PACKAGE (replace PACKAGE with com.mitv.tvhome for Xiaomi stock launcher, cn.formovie.fengos.desktop for FengOs launcher and com.google.android.leanbacklauncher for Google Leanback launcher)
to unfreeze an app type : cmd package install-existing PACKAGE (replace PACKAGE with the same value as above)

Note: seems that freezing Google TV Launcher on CCwGTV [4K/sabrina or HD/boreal], will stop YouTube login from occurring and will prevent YouTube account switching
Evolution : If you have another device and want this app to support it (meaning using another list of installable/uninstallable apps), don't hesitate to make a PR on my github.
Note on Privacy and Permissions usage
The only data that comes out of the phone is for anonymous usage (firebase analytics) in order to prioritize and improve what's used the most, and crash reporting (firebase crashlytics). Both can be disabled starting from 4.30.
No user data is saved on a private server of shared with any other 3rd party service.
Here are the permissions explicitely requested in Projectivy Launcher along with their usage :
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE : get information about current network (ex: statusbar icons, current device IP address)
- INTERNET : seems obvious
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (max sdk 28) : read a Projectivy config file that could be placed on the device before it's installed (for rooted devices)
- INSTALL_SHORTCUT : manage pinned shortcuts
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED : start an app on startup (Projectivy is probably the only Tv launcher supporting this)
- REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES (only on non play store version) : install 3rd party apps (ex: aptoide)
- REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES : allow users to delete apps
- READ_TV_LISTINGS : ability to show channels/watch next
- BILLING : to buy premium
A few other permissions are required by libs dependencies (mostly Google libs) :
READ_EPG_DATA/WRITE_EPG_DATA : Google tv channels lib
WAKE_LOCK, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE... : Google Firebase
There is also a Notification Listener service that can access your device notifications to display these notifications and now playing data *if enabled*
Last thing you can see that might freak you out : Projectivy can spy on your device activity : this is because of the Accessibility service (that offers a lot of low level insights, *if enabled*).
It's used :
- to launch apps on boot when manufacturers disabled the BOOT_COMPLETED (hello Xiaomi)
- for parental control
- for remote control button remapping
Premium
Premium version on Google Play will give you :
- ability to choose a custom background image
- unlimited parental control protected apps (only 1 in free version)
- unlimited display profiles (only 1 in free version) ***Only on supported devices (if it doesn't work on the free release, that won't change on premium)***
- the satisfaction of supporting this project

As of now, this unfortunately can't be bought outside of Google Play because there doesn't seem to be any easy means of doing without taking too much of my time (managing a dedicated server, database, preventing hacks, managing refunds... none of this could be done until this becomes a full time job).
Known issues
- HDMI 1 and HDMI 3 swapped (FengOS, Vava on AmLogic devices) : on recent firmwares, HDMI1 and HDMI3 inputs are swapped in PL. This is a bug in the OS low level libs that send HDMI1 input id when HDMI3 is requested (and the opposite). Can't be easily detected (thus fixed) on my side unfortunately. Just select HDMI1 when you need HDMI3 and vice-versa.
- long press on volume buttons doesn't work on FengOs : there's a bug on FengOs -> as soon as an accessibility service is enabled (Projectivy Launcher, but also Button Mapper for example), the long press volume buttons doesn't work anymore. Worse : unlike any other button, the accessibility service is not notified that a volume button has been pressed, preventing me from developping a workaround :/ Disabling the accessibility service fixes this behavior (but this disables several Projectivy Launcher features)
- unable to add or remove programs from watch next (as on the stock android tv launcher) : the stock launcher has special permissions that allows it to modify "watch next" even if the programs belong to another app. This unfortunately can't be done on a 3rd party launcher

Thanks for your compliments. I spent literally hundreds hours of work to rewrite most of the UI code, improving it's customisability as well as it's efficiency.
For now, picture profiles will only work on mitv Android 6 devices.
On more recent Android versions :
- amlogic devices will require root (but we don't have any root method right now)
- mediatek devices (Fengmi T1, Xiaomi c2...) *might* be supported in the future

* What's the latest on Youtube? Best to use the one that can be downloaded under 3rd party app or directly from the Google Play store? I tried to do via Productivy and get the error message "incompatible device. Please download another version of the application and try again, error code (-113)"
* I also tried to download PLEX from Google Play store and see the following error message: "Can't install app: Plex [...{ can't be installed. Try again, and if the problem continues, get help troubleshooting (error code: 910)"

I've installed it on my Wemax One Pro, an issue that I am having is with Google Play store, which i cannot get to launch. When I click the icon the screen goes blank for a second and just returns to the launcher.
I also had the issue on the previous incarnation of the app.
I'm also running Magisk 24.3 and rooted.
I've deleted cache and also tried re-installed, still the same thing.
Great job. The only problems I see is missing option to select HDMI input and a option to restore hidden application. Maybe I can't find it

Projectivy is a complete launcher replacement. I suppose you can still use ATV if you prefer, there's nothing in Projectivy preventing the execution of any other launcher. How you choose which one you want depends on your OS. On mitv (and probably any stock Android tv device), if the stock launcher is disabled, Android asks which one you want.
On FengOs, they disabled this behavior, so if the stock launcher is disabled and no launcher is started, Projectivy starts automatically.
Regarding YouTube, if you have Google play, it is probably the best way to install it.
On Chinese devices without any Google services, installing from Aptoide usually works. However, I couldn't understand the compatibility issues between Aptoide and Xiaomi app installer : sometimes, a specific version of YouTube will install fine and others won't. And in the future it might stop installing correctly. The one I link to from Projectivy is the latest version that is allowed too install on my device without any error message (at least it was, 2 months ago). If it doesn't work, chances are that another one will install fine, just browse the available versions in Aptoide.
As for Plex, is probably an incompatibility with Xiaomi's app installer, no idea why it did this though.

This is probably a bug.
To prevent HDMI input section from being displayed on devices that don't have such inputs (ex: tv boxes), I hide this section when the Android tv framework is unavailable or when no HDMI input (plugged or not) is returned by the system.
I will test again on mitv devices, I might have overlooked something.

As written above, the hidden HDMI input section is a bug I need to explore (works fine on FengOs).
As for restoring a hidden app, you can do it : open the settings panel (contextual menu button on your remote control or select the settings icon next to the hour) and select the first entry (manage categories), then select the category where you want to restore an app.

Hi, im using my new HP BP5000 with a sucks custom OS in Android 8.0, codename: shadow / sugarcane (not sure which one to read from). Tried to enable accessibility services but it seems locked.
I was able to enable it by force write in adb for another app called "tvquickactions", but I got an error when I try to do that for this launcher with error below, can you help?
adb shell pm grant com.spocky.projengmenu android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGSOperation not allowed: java.lang.SecurityException: Package com.spocky.projengmenu has not requested permission android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

I just installed this on my Mi Smart Compact Projector (Gen 1, Global, M005MGN).
Great job on this slick UI ! Although I can't root this device to really tweak it, the features included in non-root Projectivy are plenty to suit my needs ATM.
Just a quick question before I start to mess with ADB. I see in your instructions that we can "freeze" packages, but your command is pm uninstall. Shouldn't I use pm disable, if I simply want to freeze(not remove) the package?
My concern is if I want to restore and I don't have the original package file handy, I will need to restore factory defaults to get it back and then I have to start all over. I was thinking DISABLE gives me a chance to see what I would be missing, and if I want the stock app back, I could just re-enable it.

This app is a godsend. No other launcher can change inputs on me. Unfortunately on my TV the stock launcher is what starts the Input menu. I have to leave the launcher running in the background in order to use the input list.

Also please consider adding the ability to pin shortcuts. This way I can say take the apps page of settings and bind it to a button. Otherwise this is not possible, correct me if I'm wrong.

You sorta need to do both. Uninstal then user-disable again if you don't have root. You can reinstall the package again if its a system/rom app as it doesn't REALLY get removed.
