Thingonaspring WM6.1_21127 v2.32
ROM changes for v2.32 :-
- TCPMP AVRCP support is back! Thanks to excellent work from bimbam69 and xiaojin1985 at this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5685536#post5685536
- TCPMP skins are still supported with the new AVRCP version, like this skin by Iphone2
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=296446&d=1269090544
Extract the VGA "skin.xml" and "skin" folder to your \windows dir, then start tcpmp.
- Bluetooth recieve (obex) bug fixed
- Rotate Dpad bug fixed
- IRDA fixed
- fixed rar/zip file associations
- SD Drivers rebuilt
- Tidied bluetooth drivers, removed unused DLL
- Tidied OEM Apps, removed unused DLL
- Removed unused certificates
- Added File dialog changer, enable it in Settings->System
- Added bluetooth setting page security tab
ROM changes for v2.3 :-
- Reorganised XIP. Crypt32.dll moved to IMGFS (saving 460kb RAM), wince.nls moved to XIP (losing 260kb RAM). Net gain 200kb of physical RAM and a nice speedup from wince.nls being loaded into XIP
- modified boot registry to load devicestacks more intelligently (saving RAM) and restricted some core drivers to remain in pagepool and link exclusively to device.exe (much faster and should save some power)
- Hardware Buttons tweaked, added voice record on press+hold record, wirelessmgr on light button and assigned proper icons to all buttons
- fix added for some situations where STK wouldn't work
- added sensible delay to up/down slider
- hidden encryption control panel, it's not supported so there's no point seeing it
- hidden error reporting control panel, not supported
- fixed LZX compression in the kitchen
- downsized today backdrop to save some ram (it's now 4 tiles instead of one big image)
- Added call recording option to phone, just select "record" during phone conversation
- Rebuilt bluetooth support using drivers from HTC Athena, registry settings overhauled, A2DP works much better now. It may jump when a headset is first connected. Just disconnect/reconnect to fix this.
ROM changes for v2.21 :-
- FingerKB updated with multi-language support and a different skin (again by giannis86). Skin graphics optimised to 8-bit BMP to save resources.
- FingerKBConfig now works, goto Settings->input->options and select input languages, configure smileys and all that good stuff.
- AE Buttons plus now supported due to a slightly different keyboard driver. Tested with backlight button launching 3 seperate apps depending on how many times the button is pressed.
ROM changes for v2.2 :-
- RealVGA added. 96, 128, 192dpi supported for all pre-installed apps
- note 3rd party apps may or may not support non-192 DPIs
- Look in settings->system for realvga option panel
- FingerKB (skin by giannis86) is fully integrated into the ROM. This took a bit of fiddling and hexediting, but it now works beautifully in all DPIs.
- All other SIP input methods removed (MS keyboard, block and letter recogniser). It saves 1.7mb of space.
- FingerKB makes "bing" noises on each keypress by default, just switch off "event" sounds in "sounds and notifications" panel to disable this.
- Note the finger keyboard config app is not included as it doesn't work on the fully integrated version.
- TCPMP is now bimbam69's version, which supports skinning and integrates better with the mini Windows Media core
- WMA9Pro audio is now supported, using the native windowsmedia DLL
- WMV9 is fully supported, using the native WM DLL
- no skin is used by default, to add a skin just drop skin.xml and associated images in \windows folder. For an example, see Osprey00's work here :-
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6071639&postcount=284
- note that Bimbam69's tcpmp does not support AVRCP as yet. He knows this and would love to enable it, but needs help from the original author of AVRCP plugin. Let's hope they get it together.
- SRS Wow HD is now included also. Happy days.
- Look in settings->system control panel for wow HD options (wow HD disabled by default)
Despite all the hefty new features (realVGA is really big), the tightly-integrated new TCPMP and removal of old MS SIP input methods means this version is only 600kb bigger. How's that for optimisation?
64mb versiom has 4.0mb Pagepool. 33.5 Mb free RAM on clean boot with 200+contacts and appointments synced)
128mb version has pagepooling disabled
Flash Disk enabled
Extended ROM enabled
Removed :-
- Windows Media Player (TCPMP integrated to replace WMP)
- Office OneNote
- Customer Satisfaction (SQM)
- FirmwareUpdate
- Catalog
- Entertainment (games)
- Transcriber
- Getting started
- Bootsplash/welcome images
- MS Sip input methods (replaced by fingerkeyboard)
Included :-
- RealVGA
- SRS WOW HD
- Fingerkeyboard
- MP3 ringtones
- Opera Mini 5 native WM version
- Bimbam69's TCPMP 0.72 recomp3 fully integrated to replace Windows Media. Suports WMA9pro/WMV/FLV/FLAC/OGG/DIVX/MP3.......
- PocketNotepad
- PocketRAR
- AdobePDF Reader 2.5
- No2Chem's USB to PC usb mass storage driver
- No2Chem's neuPowerCpl replaces backlight settings, power control panel and adds some nice options.
Note that it won't display advanced usage stats (batt temp etc) as no neuBattery driver exists for uni.
- Dutty's SDHC driver package (tested with 2/4/8/16gb)
- PimBackup
- JWright's Network Plugin (mount windows shared drives over wifi/activesync)
- TaskManager 3.1
- TotalCommander 2.5.1
- Windows Live 10.7
- Remote Desktop Client
- File dialog changer
- Office Mobile 6.1
This rom has no bootsplash screens, so you will see a black screen on boot, followed by a white screen.
Tap the white screen to begin using the device on 1st boot.
Drivers, XIP section, registry, pagepool and filesystem have all been optimised for speed and RAM.
Every single EXE, DLL, MUI, CPL and plugin has been made into a module - with the exception of .NET libs (can't be modular) and one or two specific DLLs/EXEs that will not execute in modular form. Again this saves memory on 64mb machines and speeds up access to executables on both 128 and 64.

vidmes is no more, so is there another mass upload site that works for you?
will now download and test, thanks in advance if there are problems I will write
Problem
There is a bug with the display button in detention is off lights, as is its normal, but then wants to activate it, the interestingness of this program that nuePower, which is built inside reported that the display was in normal light, but in the standard menu, in this case always has been reduced to the end and be required to increase the ready, the display illuminates only hard reset fix me
@enigma79
I'm not sure I fully understand the problem, but I think you're saying there's a problem where backlight goes dark and can't be controlled by the slider on neuPower. Igf that happens, just hold the power buttoin for 2 seconds and backlight will switch on again. It's a problem I've encountered before with this backlight driver, but it generally only happens once per flash . When you have done the power button trick once, it shouldn't happen again.
Thanks Man and, the ringtone problem? windows media player removed
new problem, not working NumBattery, maybe the whole problem is nuePower, I guess that should be removed from rоms

Yes this is problem, the slider is closed, the screen is dark, but as my power cord, the screen works, but you get it the screen goes out
WIFI does not want to connect, where is the problem, and my network is falling, everything is exactly the code too, but did not want to be connected, radio rom 1.14
Functional rom, but the problem with WiFi and problem NumBattery, which sometimes appears, sometimes not, but I can not use WiFi is just bad, will pass an old rоm until it was found where the problem will track this topic
What Kitchen u using?
Why is that?
So, I put the phone working with WiFi, not connected is because it does not require connected by cable to the laptop so switched several programs, after 2 hours I saw the phone, I saw that he was connected with WiFi, go to Settings and confirm that there is connected to my network so I was just pleased that everything has ok,and hop in removal of the cable connecting the laptop and the phone cut off, I had no WiFi, so far I have had this problem, I changed 10 roms, and no such problem, only 2 did not want rom dase associated with WiFi, respectively, tested with different radio roms but no effect and thus erase those roms.
It turned out that WiFi works but for a while and when you remove the cable connection fails
Hi guys,
New version uploaded with a new wifi driver.
The kitchen I'm using is an old version based on platformrebuilder.
It's mostly just a batch script, which makes it quick to modify and update.

What's numbattery?
[edit] I've just found and installed numbattery, and it's working - 76% shown in title bar. Check to see if you have "show title bar clock" disabled in clock settings, otherwise the clock overrides the battery display. Also be sure to reboot after installing or uninstalling numbattery.
Also - yes this rom does not support mp3 ringtones - if anyone can find a small lightweight windowless mp3 player app, then i can fix that. The alternative is to cripple this sleek fast rom by installing many megabytes of windows media player, and I'm not prepared to do that. A large part of this rom's speed comes from the fact that the horrible windows media subsystem is replaced by smaller faster apps.
How about an mp3-to-wav converter built into the rom as a compromise? I'm certain I can find a suitable free app to do the job.
WiFi works perfectly, well done, linked from the first time, this time to obtain
interested in what your radio ром tested my 1.14 is now I have a problem with 3G, not me I need off accordingly, but at times is activated and as such we have a network here, respectively, at this time and no phone connection interesting if I change my radio ром like yours, that will fix the problem, he and other colleagues to say whether they have a problem

After running my 01.05 ROM, playing with Pandora's Box for a week or two (and getting feedback), and includes a number of fixes - I've built a new ROM base.
These fixes are incorporated into Pandora's Box, so you can use the kitchen to make your own "recipe" if you don't like how I set this one up.
My phone "idles" around 64mA, and gets great battery performance (I keep it clocked to 260 all the time - probably better if I used the full capability of BatteryStatus OMAP controls. After I installed the rom, I remove poutlook, sddaemon, smartkey, and init_tray from /Windows/Startup per my own taste.
NOTE: It only flashes the OS. Nothing added in the ROM for IPL/SPL, CID, SPLASH, or HTC_LOGO. Just FYI. There's an extended empty rom in "downloads" if you need it.

Many have found that the 2.19 radio works best, and I agree.
Don't try this unless you know what you're doing.

This is my personal setup (dogfood) thus why I call it "My Setup", so if you don't like it, either get the kitchen and remix your own - or don't bother! As with anything here, I've done my best to ensure it will work, but it's all done at your own risk.
Please: If you do try it, I request you post your comments so others can get feedback to help them decide to run it or not. Please note problems - and how to reproduce them! (example: error when opening notepad - application fault xxx.xxx)

There's a cab to install all, or a zip with just the themes so you can only install the ones you need.
The cab uses about .5 meg.
Since they add so much space, I'm not adding them into a rom, but am glad to offer them if anyone needs / plans to use them.

Even though I removed the "wifi fix", I didn't have any trouble starting the Wifi from the CommManager, though it occasionally takes the "double tap". I also noticed right away that my battery drain was about a 25 - 50% decrease. Looking good so far.
I also replaced the BatteryStatus with an uncompressed version. It looked much better - battery drain numbers more on par with what is expected.
Two seperate roms, one with Voice Speed Dialer, and one with Voice Command. Otherwise, they're exactly the same. They include the camera themes, but I took my today themes out.
Here's the numbers (note my contacts are sync'd, so the System is lower than it would be)

It doesn't have a host of tweaks to maximize battery life - but it has shown to be a good performer. I can listen to music, take a few calls, and have the BT radio on, and the battery only drops about 30% over 5 hours. I need to recharge every-other day if I use it regularly.
So it could run "leaner", but I haven't found any reason to.

Includes wifi fix, gprs fix, transcriber fix, no themes, black theme to 10 button comm manager, to name a few. Still trying to target the "perfect" rom - one that works flawlessly, and has all the usefull apps included.
I'd love to see a bare version! I don't use mms, so this fetaure is useless for me! I love to add the programs that I use to my rom!
I think there are some other people like me out there...
This shouldn't sound bad! I just drunk a bit too much xD
You made a good job again, matt!

Okay, I'll post a few varieties as well. I don't mind - but I wouldn't have installed them first - so please let me know if there are any issues so I can yank the link and fix.
Initial Review...
I'd like to get a bit of feedback on this one before I release - but it looks damn good.
I can't find anything wrong after a couple hours of using, tweaking, resetting, and playing. A very good sign...!
Hey Matt!
Lot of flavors hum? Cool!
How about Bt Pairing? Solved? Can I now add a new outgoing port for my bt Jabra phone?

I added my Samsung WEP200 BT headset and G-sat BT GPS without any issues - and they work great. As far as A2DP - that's still an issue as far as I know.

it seems that battery runs out faster than v01.05 and can only connect to internet through sync if disable "advanced network functionality"!

I noticed that the battery drain / charge numbers were screwy (like 350 drain, and 479 charge on a full battery!) - so I'm letting the phone discharge and fully recharge. There shouldn't be a change in batter drain from previous roms.
Regarding the internet via sync, is this a change from previous versions? I haven't ever changed this. So you're able to use your PC's interent to access the web from your phone? Hmmm. I'll see what I can find out.
1- yes, drain faster in my case!
2- solved after disable "advanced network functionality" only once (everything works fine now even after enable)!
Hello XDA! Thanks to everyone here for the tools and knowledge I used to make this. Don't forget to HardSPL!
I made my own because other roms are either too light or have programs I never use. I'm sure there will be people that feel this way about my roms.
2 Flavors Available based on a mix of Voda 3.08 and WWE 3.03!
3.08.DKv1.0 with Original Kaiser Dialer from WWE 3.03
3.08.DKv1.1 with Touch Dual Dialer (thanks to Nadavi and Dutty)
3.08.DKv1.2 ROMS at bottom of this post
NO reboot bug from 3.03
Gone Are:
- NETCF and SQLCE 2.0
- Welcome Center
- Windows Update
- Links to WM Task Manager
- Adobe Reader LE
- BCR World Card
- 9 Button Comm Manager
- Cyberon Voice Speed Dial
- Esmertec Jbed (Java)
- HTC Home (takes up way too much today screen realestate)
- HTC Home Plug
- IA Zip
- A lot of extra junk (i.e. ringtones, templates, images...)
In Are:
- NETCF and SQLCE 3.5 (fixed OEM based on FAMAN's)
- Windows Live (from WWE 3.03 SYS folder)
- 6 Button Comm Manager (forgot who I stole this from)
- Cyberon Voice Commander (assigned to PTT button, from cab stolen from 1.81 HK ROM)
- Today Clock from Samsung i760 (thanks to my Co-Worker)
- The rest of the OEM's from WWE 3.03 that I didn't remove
Untouched Programs:
- Default WM Stuff (i.e. ActiveSync, Calculator, File Explorer, etc.)
- Audio Manager
- Bluetooth Explorer
- QuickGPS
- SIM Manager
- Streaming Media
- Voice Recorder
- Sliding Sounds
- TouchFLO Settings (to turn off clicking sound)
Tweaks!!
- Disable Fast Sleep
- Disable Not Certified Warning
- Disable Send Notification
- File System Cache 8192 bytes
- File System Filter Cache 31768 bytes
- GDI\Font Cache 131072 bytes

- Show Battery on Dialer During Call
- Show Battery on Title Bar
- Keyboard Layout is AT&T Tilt
Radio:
- 1.64.06.04 and 1.64.08.21 work for sure
Bugs?
- Bluetooth turns on at start then shuts off. I honestly don't think this is a bug. If it stayed on then it would be, but since it shuts off maybe it's just checking something.
- Internet Sharing disconnects unless you uncheck "On External Power" in Power Settings
- You will get a Customer Feedback message once and once only. Just tap Next and close. (Anyone know how to kill this?)
- I don't have video dialing so unable to test on 3.08.DKv1.1, should work fine on 3.08.DKv1.0 since dialer is untouched.
- I don't use Black Berry Connect, but it looks like this doesn't work
- I don't use Exchange so unable to test
- Delete dword CWSLayout=1 or change dword CWSLayout=0, located in HKLM\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD for Kaiser Keyboard Layout. Cab fix is also attached.
If anyone wants to modify these roms, all registry settings are intact so just use KaiserKitchen by Jscepi to extract, modify and re-cook. My tweaks are in OEM\OperatorPKG\mxipupdate_oemoperators_106.provxml. PagePool is untouched.
I've been using this for about a week and I haven't noticed too many bugs. Threaded SMS is great. I'd love to get some feedback from anyone that trys out my rom. I didn't use the 5.0 version of the camera or the 4.2 version of MMS that has SMS and MMS separated since I don't use that much. If there are enough people that want it, I will change these out and add album in my next build.

3.08.DKv1.2 Updates! I didn't get too much feedback so I fixed a few things that I found and added UC as Sleuth suggested. UC is pretty awesome especially for us rom junkies. Also, TCPMP 0.81 doesn't work and there doesn't seem to be a fix for it yet.
Changes in 1.2:
- Change naming scheme, 1.2k (kaiser dialer) and 1.2t (touch dual dialer) versions
- Added UC http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366333
- Added 2 missing CommManager images and shrank size of existing images (did not affect funtionality)

but i think the green theme is pretty

Glad you like it. Let me know if you find any problems.
Really good ROM, cgtrl
I am fan of 'between Vanilla and minimal' editions
Now i am testing v 1.0 (with 24 MB page pool and:
1. Old method off making non-english letters 'known' to dial-pad is not working. (i mean jimm98y_smartdialing*PL*.cab for example)
I'll try to see what's going on. I am aware that it's minor problem (not much ppl interested...)
2. TCPMP (v0.81) is not working - i know, there is another thread about it, i'll try to chechk it.
3. when assisted GPS is on GPS is unstable - com4 is not aviable? GoogleMaps can work, but GPS View is dying...
anyway - only minor troubles, and green theme killed my wife
Any way I can get you to cook in User Customziation? The effort is trivial and ROM flasher's coming from other UC capable ROMs will be able to get up and running automatically. I'm promoting this as a standard across all cooked ROMs since it'll work on any device.
Here's the UC Chef's thread:
ROM Chefs: SDAutoRun gives customziation to everybody!
Here's the UC User's thread:

Here's a bunch of themes to get rid of the green. I didn't purposely make my theme green, it just is because wm6.1 default is green. erric191 also has blackbars.exe that will turn the bars black. Not sure what issue you're having with the dialpad, but my roms default format is for Tilt.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll have a look at the GPS when I go out tonight.

Any way I can get you to cook in User Customziation? The effort is trivial and ROM flasher's coming from other UC capable ROMs will be able to get up and running automatically. I'm promoting this as a standard across all cooked ROMs since it'll work on any device.
Here's the UC Chef's thread:

sam2000 - I'll upload it on rapid tomorrow. My internet is a little slow right now. Just browsing the web while I watch the Pro Bowl at a friends house.
laurentius26 - Thanks!
- 1.2k (kaiser dialer) and 1.2t (touch dual dialer) versions
- Added UC http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366333
- Added 2 missing CommManager images and shrank size of existing images (did not affect funtionality)
- Removed wm61_stwater.jpg and Windows Mobile 6.1.tsk to get rid of WM6.1 green theme

Getting ready to flash, but just a thought, since this is UC compatible, wouldn't it be beneficial to the rom user if he/she knew everything that was cooked in? Completely for the purpose of comparing with one's own sdconfig. I dont if UC roms automatically detect duplicates or what, but it would be a bit self defeating if one had to go through an remove dup progz. Anyways, thanks for the post...looks good.
ajmoncrief - That's a good idea. I added a "Untouched Programs" section to my first post. Since my rom is already pretty light, there wasn't too much to add.
Sorry for the mess i've made...
I am using my own theme in every OS i am using. Just after flashing Your bios my wife wanted to play mahjong on my device and it was first time she saw it without my default theme
... next step was writing xml for her tornado ...
... green one ...
... she forced me to do so ...
Anyway, i belive that any user who flashed his OS will also know how to change device theme
btw, I _cannot_ say that troubles with GPS are bug in Your bios... I used 'KaiserTweak' to activate 'assisted gps' - before this step GPS was OK. So, it's possible that settings that KaiserTweak is changing are slightly difftent in 6.1...
Qlphn - I meant to reply to you earlier. I drove down to Duke's in Malibu for dinner last night from downtown Los Angeles using TomTom with aGPS enabled and I didn't notice any problems. I personally don't use aGPS because I never noticed any real benefit from it.
As far as that green theme, sorry. I used to have a Q and it was such a pain writing xml's to get my phone looking the way I wanted.
GPS trouble was present only in apps that are using 'old way' - COM4...
Applications using Windows managed access to GPS were working OK even with 'assisted GPS on' - that's why i said it's 'minor trouble'. Morever, it's possible I messed up sth - so we need at least second person with the same trouble to start taking it seriously...
Don't worry about green, please Whole situation was very funny in fact
adding slide sounds
if any one could show me how to add sounds to my slide features.. i seen on youtube the lightsaber.. can show me what to do? i have both wave files .. my phone is unlocked ...
3.14 Based on CE OS 5.2.19209 (provided by incognitho)
I'd like to thank everyone at XDA for the knowledge I gained, but especially cuboosh for testing and helping me work out bugs and kyphur who got me started on making no junk roms.
ATT connection settings are built in with proxy removed so no need to install HTC Connection Setup on 3.14 if you are a ATT customer.
3.08 still retired, 3.02 back from the grave. Don't forget to use the correct radio with these. The 1.58 and 1.64 radios work.

Most of the cabs were built using files and registry settings I removed from my base rom so they work 100%. The other cabs are from dutty, nadavi, chainfire and _alex_, but they are slightly modded. I either added some missing files or deleted unecessary files from them. Install cabs to Device.
MSSolitaire.cab installs solitaire and creates a game folder with the game folder icon. Made separate cab for bubble breaker because I don't like it.
All my roms are UC compliant thanks to Sleuth. More info regarding User Customization can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366337.
Keyboard is Tilt layout. A cab to change to Kaiser layout is also attached.
this is mine
Feel like putting UC in your next version? UC users will get up and running faster if you can. Here's the link to the development thread:

yeah, i just realized i didn't put it in. i got caught up testing for bugs and forgot. i'll probably make a UC version of it tomorrow. done for the night.
v0.0 is working great for me. Thanks for removing the camera. How about removing Office. I think that's about all that's left in this rom.

it's 0.1 UC that has the camera removed. are u using 0.0? 0.2 will have office removed. the reason it's still there is because I use it often and I haven't made a cab for it yet. i'll probably do it some time today.
Yes, still using 0.0. I saw that camera was removed in 0.1, and that prompted the office question. There are office cabs floating around, even split up by app. The only one I load is word.
0.2 is up. office removed. it does look possible to install just word if someone wanted to play with it. PowerPoint Mobile seems to take up the most space (3MB for the exe alone).
No camera???
Hi, I'm willing to try this ROM and perform a SPB and VS Benchmark.
But do I read this correct: no camera??? Why not?
yes, no camera.
First reason I removed it is because I'm trying to get this rom very lite. Another is because some users like the new 5.0 camera and others, like myself, prefer the 4.0 camera. In order to satisfy more users I removed the camera, but created a cab for the 4.0 and modded nadavi's 5.0 to work with my rom and assign itself to button 5. you can get all my cabs through the link in my first post.
Later if a newer version comes out you can just uninstall the old and install the new without reflashing. Now I know you can just install a new camera over the old, but doesn't it feel cleaner when you can remove the old one first?
double post. sorry.

Yep, this is why I like Lite Roms. Thanks. I'll load 0.2 tonight.
this is vodaphone base right? does it the screen lag/keyboard issue? or was it fixed with the hong kong dlls?
jakeypoo,
touch.dll is from 3.03 wwe which is the same as 3.08 voda, don't know the version number.
ddi.dll version in my rom is 3.3.0.0 from 3.03 wwe, voda version is 3.8.0.0
my OS base is 3.08 voda, but my OEM base is 3.03 wwe. I decided to use 3.03 for the OEM because there are a few rgu's and provxml's in 3.08 that are voda specific.
haven't looked at the hk rom so I don't know. how much of a lag is there usually? I haven't noticed any problems with lag. I'll try swapping out the files to see if I notice anything. Thanks for the info.
Edit: I just checked the ddi.dll on 3.02, 3.03 and 3.08. The file sizes are exactly the same, it's just the version numbers that differ. The version numbers seems to be the same as the rom version (i.e. 3.02 rom has 3.2.0.0 ddi and 1.60 rom has 1.6.0.0 ddi). Sorry to state again if this is already common knowledge.
well i notice lag on sleuth's (not as bad) and udk's rom with text entry.. if you enter text to fast the screen takes time to catch up.. its like for every 6-7 characters you enter 1 or 2 shows up ..so if you type fast lets say you type the following sentence.. "i really love xda-developers" now as you type that at normal speed you can get to the end of developers and the "xda" part will just be appearing on the screen. do you know what i mean? im very interested in trying this rom so thats why id like to know if you notice any sort of lag what so ever. i do alot of emailing from my phone so this is important :O
thx!
I couldn't type fast enough to notice any lag. I did type random letters as fast as I could and the letters appear as I type. No trailing letters after I finish typing.
As far as screen lag, I don't notice anything like I noticed when I used the original AT&T roms. It is very responsive. I do still notice a slight lag when I touch the screen while playing video using CorePlayer Qtv version, but it's much better than before.
ok, well im going to give 0.2 a whirl.. its stacking up against sleuth's so lets see! :O
great. let me know how it stacks up.
noticed;
- = bad
+ = good. lol
- customer feedback still present
+ speed is insane.
+ touch screen is VERY responsive i mean like WOW
..will continue
traces of Internet Calling still are in the rom incase you didnt know.. this isnt a problem but running today plugin uninstaller it finds voipphone.dll active/installed..
still installing my files to see performance
yeah, I've been trying to get rid of Customer Feedback for a while now. So far all I did was hide the icon since it only nags you once. I saw on the Wizard forum that I can remove ceipui.exe and modify mxip_notify.vol in the shell folder, but everytime I do my rom:
- skips the initial setup
- poutlook gets an error that is is not certified
- dialpad doesn't open
I'll take a look at the voipphone.dll. Glad it worked well for you and thanks for the feedback.
Edit: it looks like the dll that the registry is calling for is voipphonecanvas.dll. The actual file is gone. It actually doesn't even seem to exist in any of the roms I've been cooking from (1.56, 1.60, 1.61, 3.02, 3.03, 3.08). I found the stale reg entry so I'll remove it in my next release. For now all you have to do is delete "Internet Calling" from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items
The Touch Tools thread has moved. For support and updates please goto the HD2 (Leo) Forum thread. Click Here!!
Be great to have everything in one place! Keep us posted!
Here's the "tweaks" I have used:
Nodata
Aktogglewifi
psShutXP (display off, turn off, soft reset)
FDCSoft TaskMgr
hc4 ObexInboxEx VGA (send bluetooth files to SD card)
htcAddicts CleanRAM (not sure if this works 100%)
David Andrs Batti (battery indicator across top of screen)
Showaco All_Programs (4 column Start, Programs for TF3D) - but the implementation isn't bug free
4 column programs and settings - WM standard
Rotation control
Would like to have better implementations of:
Birthday, anniversary reminder - currently using NS birthday
Short cut to Device lock (save wear & tear on hardware key) - the options around seem to take memory or resources
Cheers
will it be program like advanced config or hd tweak or diamond tweak only for topaz?
TD2 Tools - Programs Tab Fix - Released: 26/08/2009
If you are experiencing problems and bugs with the Programs Tab, you need to search for a patched manila file to make it function correctly. The setting option in TD2 Tools only Shows or Hides the Programs Tab.
so i guess you need to see what's in diamond+hd tweak & advanced config & sktools and pick from there whatever relevant for topaz.
A method for preventing the web browser from ever attempting to use 3G / EDGE for data connections while still allowing data for MMS.
Is such a thing possible?
Nice idea !
So,
- Allow TF3D2 in landscape
- Enable change of TF3D2 programme launcher background
- Enable change of colours and fonts of TF3D2
- Enable to add new shortcuts in the programme launcher page
- Boost TFL3D Performance
- Speed up camera shutter Speed
- Enable to change softkeys
- Enable assigning actions to hardware buttons
- Audio louder
Some already works on my Topaz but there is no app yet. So, thank you.
yes, there is a way to prevent the PDA from connecting to 3G and EDGE every time: settings - all settings - connections - advanced network - in the HSDPA/HSUPA tab, select enable HSDPA only. I did this and I've no problems...
post your views please people!
Some suggestions:
-TouchFLO: option to choose between wm6.5 start (or 6.1 start menu) & manila programs tab.
-Comm manager: option to set 8 buttons & choose which. (in advanced config i can choose 8 buttons & press ok it writes error but still saved).
-Camera: high res panorama, additional modes thats not enabled by default.
-Enable/Disable notifications manager.
-Enable/Disable threaded sms.
from advanced config:
-Performances settings.
-Power management settings.
from hd tweak:
-Call settings.
-Camera settings.
from sktools:
-Enable/Disable wifi-g
This might be good replacement for many tweaking app alltogether like hdtweak, advanced config, sktools, gconfig...
hope you make it......good luck!
Latest Update!!!!
White List integration is now implemented and fully functional! if you would like a chance to test the alpha version then please drop me a pm.

I know I'm late but can you add functionality from the touchincall tweak also (maybe in next version)? would be very handy all tweaks in 1 prog. especially keeping light on while calling and putting it upside down for speaker/conference are nice!
hope you get it 2 work!
So Gurus .........
When this great tweak program will be up for try???
Hope it will be much user friendly than Advance Config. tool.

no, my program has nothing to do with this one, however, it looks really impressive compared to mine. I have designed mine with simplicity in mind, so it will only contain relavent settings to tweak.
Released! Grab it now!
Sounds very interesting, lyriquidperfection! Yet some screenshots would be highly appreciated...!
screenshots are to follow, havent got time at the minute, but feel free to test it and let me know what you think!
I installed it! It is nice... It would be good however, if the user (especially if he is of average knowledge, like me! ), knew what the default value in each setting is. For example, I do not know what is the default value of the "Enlarge Start Menu" or "Enable PopUp UI" value is, or what they do...

The settings for each item are read from the registry upon application starting. so if you install this app after a hard reset, you will see straight away what the defaults are as to which boxes are checked and which ones arent!

Please consider a donation and/or contribute to the forum to show your support! If you have done one or both of these then PM me with your UIC code and E-Mail address and ill generate an AuthKey for you to remove the Nag Screens!
If you have already donated then PM me with your PayPal Transaction Number, UIC code and E-Mail address and ill send you the AuthKey.
If you have less then 100 posts then you really havent contributed much in which case you will have to put up with the Nag Screens until you contribute to the forum.
If you already have an AuthKey, copy the file into the Touch Tools installation folder, usually located in Program Files. The AuthKey will automatically be installed next time you launch Touch Tools.
Hopefully this new system means that everyone will be able to fully use Touch Tools 2.0 Suite with the only difference being non-contributors and leeches will get the Nag Screens! Good Day!

Okay, after working really hard to add HD2 compatibility to Touch Tools, you may be asking yourself, "Why do we need another tweaking app?"
Well thats a good question, This app offers more or less everything that the other tweaking apps do, but in addition, you can do the following:
- HARD reset capability
- Enable / Disable Manila Clock flips at the click of a button
- Easy to use White List manager for rotating apps with import and export functions.
- Easy to use volume control utility to decide which apps you want to use the slim volume control while using the volume buttons.
- GPS management so you can tweak your settings.
- Phone related settings
- AUTO DATA DISCONNECTION that works
- DATA CONNECTION manager, allows you to turn on/off connections and enable/disable 'Always On' status.
- Show or hide the default games: 'Bubble Breaker' and 'Solitare' from the click of a menu option.
Plus there will be lots more coming! Alot of this development is already complete and working however, there are still some HD2 specific features to implement.
Please post your views and ideas of what you would like me to include.
Remember, its YOUR device, so why not make it YOURS?!
Waiting for it, thanks

Cool man, this will be nice to have on our HD2's
Can I make a suggestion? maybe write it in .net 3.5 with the sense SDK to make it look really nice

Hi I have considered using the SDK already and decided to make my own controls in the end to get the functionality exactly how I want them.
I also wanted to steer away slightly from the official HTC look and make something with a clear, concise and easy to use GUI.
I stuck with .NET CF 2.0 due to past issues with custom ROMS on the TD2.
Touch Tools for HTC has now been released!
Please leave your comments and feedback!
Amazing!!!Many thanks!!!
You, my friend are a genius.
Donation coming your way when I get home.
Thank you.

hi, what is the issue you are having with this setting? It will only work correctly if there are no 3rd party cabs installed that modify the start menu layout.

I just installed Touch Tools on my HD2. I like the user interface settings options, and a face down mute ring??!! Genius! A lot of the phone settings should have come with the phone, so you are right in the fact that we should take advantage of this tool set. So far hasn't affected any of my third party aps, just an LED one which I just had to turn back on after. Great work.

Thanks, the LED app you mentioned, you should be able to remove that now as Touch Tools has an option for enabling/disabling the LED notifications in settings which is probably why it interfered with your LED app.

What a great app. I have two questions:
1)I installed on an TMous HD2, but the HD2 options is deactivated. Just "greyed out" on the menu. How can I get to these settings?
2)how embarrassing to ask this but...How the dickens do you save the settings? I don't see a save button, and when I exit the settings are not saved.
Tanks for your help

Hi, thanks for letting me know, I need you to go into Device Information in Touch Tools, click on the 'Hardware' tab and tell me the EXACT Device Model ID. I based the activation of the HD2 Options menu on the device model ID. So for example here, the device model is: 'HTC HD2 T8585'. If yours is different to this then please let me know because I will then have to patch Touch Tools and release an update.
Secondly, to apply the settings, you need to go to the Options menu and click 'Apply Settings'.
Hope this helps.
Hi thanks for your quick reply!
first, my Device Model ID is exactly, T-Mobile_LEO
Secondly...Oh, fer cryin' out loud. How could I have missed that! (maybe you have a bug such that the first three times I look at that menu, the "apply settings" option is invisible).
Cheers!
great app !
but one question ... will you offer a release for LEO-users with WM 6.5.X ???
This would be perfect.
Thanks.

If you are a T-Mobile US HD2 owner, you will have experienced a bug where the HD2 Options menu was disabled after loading Touch Tools.
Please re-download the CAB in the first post as this issue has now been resolved.
