4 COLORS AVAILABLE! With matching color schemes!
Homescreen inspired by Dr. Gonzo's NEW GUAVA (named after) ROM
for the VOX!. The Homescreen uses the HTC-Home plug-in (the trim-
med down cab, thank you Greg) and Smartmonitor. Both included.
The BAT and SIG icons "drains" (empties) as well as showing the
current status in percent, and when you "highlight" the battery/
memory/signal line on the homescreen, the status changes to show
space (%) left on the mSD-card and local storage.
Install the two .cabs and copy everything else to the Home-DIR.
THANK YOU!
---
DR. MARTIN GONZO, for your awesome VOX Rom! New Guava. Love it!
SGREGORY, for the HTCHome plug-in!
Thanks a lot but I can't get the weather and favorite people to work ?
The second lauches but then stops immediately
Comm Manager Screen to match style?
Thanks for the new home screen! I like the functionality and look! Big improvement over the HTC layout.
I too can not get the favorite people functionality to work. Same issues as Dr. Gonzo The weather did perform fine for me.
I was wondering how to update the Comm Manager screen to match the theme. After installing...I still have the orginal HTC green version.
Get the CommManager.zip from the other thread and extract. There you can change the background and other stuff if you want.
Before I updated to the New_Guava ROM, 1.27 - I was running the 1.15 (danish) Telia ROM on my Vox, and I coudn't open the Fav. People app either! It works however, after updating to v.1.27 ARA (New_Guava)! So ... I thought that the ROM version was the problem, but if you still have issues? Hm.
Thanks looks beautiful but it screwed up my S710 I can't boot beyond the white HTC screen
Thanks You did remember to install the cab-files BEFORE "installing" and using the homescreen, right?
Looks awesome! Am so pleased that people are finally doing some great stuff for the Vox.
I am having a problem with the Home Screen displaying my appointments. The appointments are covering up the bottom half of the screen. Everything else seems to work fine.
Great work!
...edit - Refreshed the Home Screen and all is fine!!! Thank you again!

Yes... I'm very used to this stuff believe me. I've also tried to remove both the sd and sim before booting up, nothing helps... This really makes me sad.

Sounds like you may need to flash a rom?
I don't know if flashing the rom solves the problem because I have the same rom Tho has and the Fav people app doesn't work... neitheir does the weather app..
Edit : After switching the phone to english instead of french the wheather wors but still no favorite people. And is it just me or does it really slow down the phone ? That's too bad cause Tho's homescreens look great...
Well I just did a hard reset and my phone is working fine again. I really hate myself since I didnt care to do a backup until it was to late.
Oh well at least the phone is working again
Reboot issues...
I love the new homescreen, but I seem to be having issues when rebooting the system (power cycling) . I go into a continuous boot loop that alternates between the HTC screen and the Windows Mobile screen. I can break the loop by removing the 1GB SD card during the boot cycle. Everything seems to work fine after that...strange.
I'm running the orginal ROM
CE OS 5.2.1235
Radio 4.1.13.37
RIL 2.002

cwykle: I'm using CE OS 5.2.1238, Radio 4.1.13.47, RIL 2.002, that might be the issue!!
Are you both using a fresly flashed ROM? Like, no facade, or other plug-ins that might interfere with the boot cyclus? All I can say is that I'm using 0.2 (no 0.2a or 0.2b) with the following plug-ins/progs.:
- Gregory HTCHome
- Smartmonitor
- Scandinavian_XT9.cab (Adds danish language to my xT9)
- S710_BT_Hotfix.cab (Official HTC Vox bluetooth fix)
- MoDaCo_RemoveSecurity.cab (Removed phone security)
- MoDaCo_Google_Search.cab (Changes default IE search page to google)
- MoDaCo_DoNew.cab (Adds the ability to create new Word/Excel docs)
- InboxExtender.cab (Extends your inbox)
- TeliaDK_VOX_070419.cab (MMS/GPRS settings)
- VitoCopyPaste (Adds the ability to copy/paste text anywhere on the phone)
- HushSMS-0.1.cab (Enables you to send "ghost" msgs, that pops up on the recievers phone, with no option to reply)
But I have tried other programs aswell, with no issues (I think it's a plug-in issue!) I assume you're using my HTCHome-cab and not the older one?

Tho : totally fresh rom, even went as far as reflashing an official rom before flashing my one, hoping it would "clean something" but no
Smartmonitor causing favorite people issues???
I too still have the inability to use the "favorite people" application from the new HTC Home screens. Tried all versions (dark, light, guava, blue). However, if I use the HTC version (without the embedded smartmonitor components) both weather and favorite people work without issue.
It seems to be an issue between smartmonitor and favorite people...any thoughts?
Edit - As a verification, I have reloaded one of the HTC Home screens (by tho) and then switched back to the basic HTC...it seems that the act of loading smartmonitor then causes issues in the basic HTC screen. My test seems to confirm a conflict between favorite people and smartmonitor.

Exactly what happened to mine but unfortunately removing the SD didn't help for me so I ended up doing a hard reset
I hope this problem can be solved so I dare to install this again... It looks wonderful after all...
Did you all remember to install Smartmonitor on the device and not the SD card?
Installed correctly

Both HTC Home and smartmonitor were installed to device. I will be looking to flash Dr's ARA based ROM today and then reinstalling the HTC Home theme. I will report my findings.
hi, I've just installed this today plugin and its the most brilliant piece of software ever, the only problem is that the task manager that it includes keeps randomly closing the cube, the obvious solution would be to put the cube on the list of excluded apps. the only problem is that I can't seen to find the exe or whatever the cube is that will do this.
does anyone know how I can fix this because I would really like to use the task manager because its the only one I have found that doesn't change te appearance of the x
thanks in advance. chris
I had the same probem, so I uninstalled it and everything works fine now. I just got my TC on saturday and love it.

The "big boys" are working on that. Most every developer got their hands on this 2.xxx series dump from the HTC Hero.
A few ROMS that are out now with bits and pieces, for instance:
- TwistedZero has his out 5.0r3 of Casper.
- JACHeroSki has 1.7r2.
etc.
What's good that's new in this latest update? Anything worthwhile or just mostly performance fixes.
im thinking because it gives them actual settings inside the rom so they can pass those to us.. for example LED correction bluetooth etc..
man... we are hunger for the perfect rom... *crazy crazy*
check out zeroXD maybe thats from the latest dump coz its freaking fast, no lags navigating rosie(Weather widget, photo widget, music widget, advance task managaer widget, battery widget, wifi, GPS, Mobile Network and many widgets running). It seems to be faster than stock

I second that!!! make sure you read his dream thread!!! class6 with 3 partitions or it wont work!!!!
I have been geting 175-180 in the benchmark app from the market!!! Stock rom was 140-150... Fatal1ty's hero was geting 120-125... LOL
Im using MyHero v1.1.0
Now that seems to be running faster than stock, no partitions needed and using a class4.
Paul drops his 2.0 on Monday.
His Twitter feed suggests that he will have his ROM prepared for testing come Monday (Labor Day) for those willing to get their hands on the FULL 2.0 series update.
He has been testing it on his Magic/Sapphire for a while, so let's hope for the best.
Hey Guys - I've poured over these threads and am a bit confused about the versions of HTC touchflo. What are my options, if any, that allow running WM6.5 and getting the flip-clock with weather beneath it? Is this possible? Or is this only touchflo 3d, which hasn't been cooked into a wizard rom?
Or maybe I should be able to change the look of the clock for this touchflo but I haven't been able to find it?
Thanks for any info.

I think what you mean is the HTC home plugin, right? I would say that you could use any 6.5 ROM and install the HTC home plugin to get the features you want (by the way, I just found this in a German ROM somewhere here, check out the "SKYNET ROM v6", post #7- Seems it's working there and should of course work for any English version, too). Good luck
Andreas
I think it's called "HTC Sense" ?
Thanks for replying Andreas. I did some more searching and I think the name associated with the look I want is "sense" ... i don't see a wizard ROM for that yet. But maybe i'm missing something? I've attached a pic.

hm... well, I don't know this one. But guess what- I'd be interested in this too Sorry I couldn't help. Personally, I don't like the 6.5 default look either and I keep always changing to even the 'old' 6.1 home screen, simply because I have all the information I need on one screen. I prefer this over a fancy look. But the thing you are looking for seems to do the job, too. Let's hope someone can jump in and solve the issue
Good luck,
Andreas
Once i ask cracing why dont use this on a rom.
1- this new touchflo is to big
2- our processor is to slow to process the flip clock, you can imagine...there is a lot of deferents images all the time change.
3- there is still bugs on ported version (maybe now this is not more valid)
Just one more thing, the picture is the 3d version, this one is IMPOSSIBLE to get in a non 3d acceleration device, but there something like that in 2d.
I've run this (the 2D version anyway) on a Wizard, by installing cabs onto a fairly naked 6.5 rom. It's slow, and takes too much memory and storage. It sure is pretty, though.
I think I used an "MSD-Series" rom as the base. I can't remember for sure.
I often try 6.5 but my favorite roms are 6.1. Even there, Manila2D is a hog.
RoryB's latest ExtROM-based Angel rom and TechTeamup's NSN rom are pretty evenly matched as my favorites right now. Both come with M2D. NSN loses points for using an older version, but Angel loses points for requiring tweaks to get the album view and music tabs to work properly.

I also need the same. Anybody there can suggest something
Its New HTC Manila from HTC Mega having Flip-Clock and Weather on home screen. It can be found here.
As it has many images ( for making animation like flip clock ), it makes the device slower. So its only good for newer qvga devices having 400+ mhz CPU speed and 128+ MB RAM or users how use there device rearly.
Best Regards
You can see pictures of a Wizard running Manila2D v2 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4016314#post4016314
It realy looks great but as Cracing and n2rjt and boto said: It needs to much RAM and CPU power! And is has no real landscape mode wich is a problem if you use it on a phone with a slide-out-keyboard like the Wizard. I did not only installed the CABs but cooked it into my ROM. I flashed it, tested it and 2 days later I already flashed an other ROM again because it is not usefull at all.
Thanks to our friends at modaco I can work towards a single cab fully works for Manila 3D from a HD (lighter and less dependency), to be installed on our TG01, still can not cook and should therefore seems necessary to be able to customize the interface at least, I hope you like!
I suggest also to instal opera 9.5 that you can find HERE
Why in rom development ?
It's in theme normally...
sorry, some mod can move thish thread? i can't delete
Moved...
works fine on UK Orange rom, quite fast as I've tried many TF3D, from 2.1 to 2.5, only thing missing is the calendar tab.
i've installed a wwe version on my tg01, works fine, but with basics functions:
Download
Download FTP
that works verry well can u edit touchflo sence cab the same way u did this 1 would be nice
Tried this, and worked perfectly . . .
but, and its a big but
When I came to uninstalling it, it got stuck on the uninstall screen for about 20 minutes, so I did a soft reset and the phone would no longer boot, so had to hard reset. Its the first time I have had to hard reset my phone.
Have you disable manila in today before unistal it?
Yep, I disabled it and switched back to the windows default home screen before I attempted to uninstall it. The only other thing I found didnt work is the album button on the photo viewer?
Home Hardware Button
Hi! I know this thread is REALLY old but...
I noticed you editted the Manilla build. The hardware home button works perfect on this! Other sense ROMs/Cabs dont have the home button working to take you back to the home tab. Can you tell uss how you did this? It would be VERY useful for us!
Thanks!
hello, is very old and can not remember exactly what I did...
but I think just will not work with the new sense relase
