hi, I've just installed this today plugin and its the most brilliant piece of software ever, the only problem is that the task manager that it includes keeps randomly closing the cube, the obvious solution would be to put the cube on the list of excluded apps. the only problem is that I can't seen to find the exe or whatever the cube is that will do this.
does anyone know how I can fix this because I would really like to use the task manager because its the only one I have found that doesn't change te appearance of the x
thanks in advance. chris
I had the same probem, so I uninstalled it and everything works fine now. I just got my TC on saturday and love it.

Hi,
HTC removed many of the original animations when switching between tabs because they slowed things down too much.
Here is a demonstration of them:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDPjXx5fZ9U
You can get them back by installing this early Diamond Manila:
http://rs229tl2.rapidshare.com/files/140844219/1523205/Diamond_manila_by_Swtos.cab
It works fine on my Touch Pro with tweaks installed, but it does slow things down a bit. I guess you need to decide whether having fancy animations is worth losing a bit of speed. Choice is yours!

I don't see any differences from mine
Move from one tab to another using sideways gestures...
Can this cab file be easily removed if need be?
I get an error saying I dont have permissions to install

The installation begins, it gets about 80% of the way and then I get the following error :
"Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions."
Same here.
I didn't try, but maybe you have to disable touch flo 3d before install this application..
Yep had to disable tf3d before installing. also installed it to my card but dont think that makes any odds. Uninstalled about 5 minutes later due to the incredible slowness..
Just realised this is my first post. Hello everybody *waves*
Where do I disable it?
go to start / settings then go into today, then the items tab and untick TouchFLO 3D and then OK it.
Animations are the same
This is not offering any improvement on the TP.
All options maintain the same.
If you even install this and you reinstall the old animations the stability of your phone will decrease.
In order to update my weather database for example.
After the update i'm not able to find any SQL database related to the cities to add any new city that is not installed as a standard.
*Touchflo will not have all similair settings from the original rom when this is/was installed.*
For example :
My gf has a diamond and i have tried to install the weather database editor and tried to change my registry similair to the one of the diamond but i'm not able to change it back as it was. * Before i installed the tweak, the tool worked !*
I'm going to hard reset my TP and will not install this again. Too bad though, because it looked like something useful on youtube eventhough that everything almost maintained the same, but this is not really handy the uninstall because it wasted more that I hoped for.
I'm probably missing a really obvious setting and someone can straighten me out pretty quickly, but here's the issue. I just installed ROMeOS Rom and I can't figure out how to turn back on the Multi-tasking icon that usually appears in the upper right hand corner of the home screen. Is this an option in the Registry? I looked for it in Advanced Configuration Utility but couldn't find anything that appeared to relate to this.
Even better would be a way for this icon to *always* appear in that corner. (Since you can kill apps through the multi-tasking drop down, you really don't need a dedicated "x" for any given program).
Anyway, help on either of these would be great.
You are referring to the HTC Task manager which is not included in romeos roms. Either download the cab which you can find in Monx's/romeos 3rd post or even better, install wktask which is freeware and much better IMVHO.

Thanks very much - problem solved!
I had my phone running great with Touch Flo 2d (Manila 2d), even put that customizing program on it and changed themes with it. I didn't like the clock in a particular theme I picked, so I was trying to install a clock from the Manila 2d skins thread, it was called Glass Clock by Aladdin or something like that.
I did NOT turn of TouchFlo in the Today Screen Items when I installed the clock. Once the clock was installed, I turned TouchFlo off and back on again, but it just won't start. It tells me to "tap here to launch touch flo" then it says that it's launching, but then it just goes back to "tap here to lauch" again.
What do I do now? I tried unistalling that damn clock, but it doesn't show up in add/remove programs. I tried reinstalling it, at which point it told me that it would unistall the first version first, but all that failed, it couldn't unistall the first version and as a result to whole install failed.
Any idea on how I can fix this? I am using version 19.
reinstall again then try unistalling
I got it working again. I used the M2d Customizer to restore the settings of the theme I had installed. After that M2d started again but the clock of that theme was messed up. So I turned the clock off using M2d, then turned it back on, and now everything works fine again.
I'm having this problem. I can't find where to uninstall it. it's not in the programs list and disabling teh clock did not solve it for me

Hey guys, im actually really stumped on this one.. i cant seem to find any Task manager that works on WM6.5 for my Atom Life. I used to use WKTASK and Quickmenu but now i wanna keep the honeycomb cause it runs really smooth on this new build and WKTASK screws up everything to be honest lol. I'm just wondering if you guys have any solutions?
PS: I'm trying out pBAR 1.4 and its not that great on wm6.5.. not very finger friendly.
Isn't there one in WinMo 6.5 already?
Maybe try the HTC one from the Diamond, there's a topic somewhere with all HTC application download links.

What problems are you having with WK Task and Quick menu ? I used both with Josh's Kaiser roms, and both worked well.
Well WKTASK just seems to kill my start menu after maybe 3 or so minutes.. So as long as WKTASK is running, my WM6.5 Honeycomb startmenu OR the Quickmenu startmenu will not open. its weird really.. and im using chrisch's atom life wm6.5 ROM 21202. Also the HTC manager doesnt seem to do anything on my device... nothing at all.. it installs.. i can access the settings but it doesnt show up on the OS itself. so its pretty much useless at this point (ive tried different versions).
yeah, I have the same issue as well...
For wm6.5 the best task manager for me is the HTC task mananger (at least for now). It integrates well to the new interface of wm6.5
Where To download latest HTC Task Manager
please give me the download link

just a little next time

add \window\shell32.exe as an excluded app
colours are still messed up, hopefully the Wktask guys will update it to cope with the 6.5 theme system soon..
I have set all my colors to black in wktask and now it´s looking quite good.

TaskSwitch
I wan't to share the fastest alt+tab program i found (faster than SPB). It's freeware, don't know where i found it. Displaytime can be configured in registry.
I mapped it to single click on the start button, works perfect! (long hold shows startmenu)
The absolute best task manager app I've found is from FDC Soft. Here is the link.
Hi all,
Today I've upgrade my Asus P552 from WM6.1 to WM6.5.
first, my process manager ( Magic Button 2.1) is not compatible with WM 6.5
wich one do you suggest? I don't need a lot of features, but he must be always present in the title bar to simply quit an application, and he must be light.
Then, a rss reader call newstation is include in WM 6.5; it works with rss feeds, but it freeze when I try to add an atom feed, is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks.
ps: excuse my bad english, I'm not a native speaker.
I'm using Magic Button 2.1 on my Fuze with a 6.5 rom (23016). It works fine. You need to set the start menu and cprog to 'stay alive' and 'not show when active,' but otherwise, it works fine for me. Well, occasionally it will kill the start menu, particularly if I hit the x button when in the Settings panel. I haven't figured out how to re-start the menu without resettings, but I can use voice command to start anything if needed.
Are you sure it won't work on your phone? I really like it. If not, I'd recommend DotFred's Task Manager. If so, I'd still recommend using DF's TM-it's a great app.
Hi, thanks for reply.
In fact, it work, but as you can see, I've got display issues when I use it (look at the title bar and the button):
do you encounter the same problem? I'll try the others programs you suggest.
Yeah, the button obscures the battery meter and a little bit of the start menu 'S' shows. My advice? Don't look @ the battery meter. It's too good of an app to junk because of the overlay.
