I have just seen this
http://hackaday.com/2010/05/13/wii-remote-connectivity-for-android-devices/
and WOW! Thinking if only for HD2 for SNES/PSONE emulation.
Is anyone trying to get this working, or brave enough to start trying to get it working?
Thanks

I never understand how such an old thread cheats death
Guys, I was just screaming at a spammer above me, who got crucified by mods - also the debris got removed
^_^
I think it doesnt work with Trinity!
Mainproblem with mods like this ... the USB bus must can switch in the Master Mode! Some PocketPCs can ... some not ... its a Hardware and Software Problem, if its work or not! If its work, you can connect HDDs or what ever and can access it VIA your PocketPC.
I have see some MP3 Player Mods with 30GB HDDs in a Car LOL

If anyone remembers the nostalgic game from the DOS systems...
I'm going to try and get it working with PocketDOS, i'm afraid it'll give a small screen though, since the WM5 version does I'll keep you posted!
http://anotherworld.fr/anotherworld_uk/index.htm
I tried to play Another world via PocketDOS, and it started up! The only problem is, that I cant get past the Auth part of the game.. argh.. I tried Supaplex instead and that seemed to work.. it was a bit laggy and I cannot get rid of that onscreen keyboard..
the HTC keys seem to work though, quite nifty ^__^
anyone got experience with playing dos games like Another World/Supaplex/Ironman Offroad racing/Theme Hospital/Stunts etc?

This game was with the Hermes under a HTC/Dopod branded ROM. I'd guess a search would reveal the .CAB?

Tossing this idea around if anyone has any input, it would be a huge help!
I would like to take a logitech usb gaming controller take the usb end and find a female usb input to micro, put that into my evo to run my emulaters on. I find it difficult with no keyboard to play the games, so I figured this would be a good option. Im sure I will need to get a linux based driver and upload to my sd for the controller. Is this possible, can this work and if not, is there any other alternitive??? Thanks for you help!!!
Have you tried the wiimote app? You'll need a rom without sense but its damn cool!
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
yes I have looked into that, but im looking for something I can run stock
Hello,
I was wondering if a Dev was creating or looking into making a app over the HDMI to display everyith on your phone, not just when it is in video mode.
My thought was to someday be able to connect a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the phone and play doom, quake w/e from my phone to the TV.
Any thoughts?

These were my exact same thoughts, lets connect my phone to my tv and and bluetooth keyboard to the phone and have a big giant screen for txt messaging hahahahahaha Would also be really cool for watching SprintTV and the web.
Was really annoyed when I found out that the HDMI out had been crippled in the EVO. I hope this won't be the case for the EPIC.
Any ways, I too hope that someone can create a work around for this.

i dont believe that this could be done with an app but maybe god maybe manufacturers maybe CYANOGEN can help...
or the alternative if google (or anyone else) gives an API to develop apps...
if there were a browser, a better player(maybe rockplayer) and docs to go, things would have been better...
I am definately willing to donate to anyone that gets this working. It would make the phone so much more effective.
I used the Samsung Vibrant video out with a simple cable from radio shack and it mirrors the whole UI. Everything you do on the phone goes onto the TV. It isn't the most beautiful picture, and there is some frame lag, but it was still really nice. It would be even better over HDMI.
Jutst checking around some different forums to see if all the EVO Hdmi threads are dead or if any work is being done on it... anybody ?????
Any one fide something jet?
Nope still looking around and nothing yet. I know there's a dev raising money for a evo that already created an app for the nexus I believe......
This is definately dissapointing I would chip in for this as I travel a lot and would be great to use with my slingmobile and watching hockey games......
DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR INSTALL THAT ZIP. IT'S A LIE AND PROBABLY IS A VIRUS AND/OR MALWARE.

Hey All. I figured I would do a video tutorial on how to connect the Nintendo Wii controller to the Viewsonic G Tablet. I connected it earlier today and it works great. This is just a basic tutorial showing you what you need and how to use it, but it does not go into detail on the specific options of the programs. Here are the programs that you will need to download from the android market to get started:
1. Romgripper
2. DroidEmuLite
3. WiimoteController
Enjoy!

anyone try this out yet? any issues or tips? Please post if you have found any.
Thanks,
scott
I actually knew how to do this already but the one thing that I'm not sure of is if we can play a two player game on this thing using two wiimotes? I see that the wiimote program sees both controllers but it doesn't do anything while using it in the SNES or tigermame emulators. Hope u can help. Great vid btw.

Epic. So glad I found this. Reinforces my thankfulness for buying this Tab.
can this also be done with a ps3 remote?
The Wii remote also works great with Quake as well. Pretty neat ability of the gtab.
I am unable to locate romgripper via the android marketplace or amazon marketplace on the gtablet. Anyone have a valid link to the apk?

Works fine on Brilliant Corners. Was using it earlier to play Legend of Zelda quest 2. Not using any guides so this is gonna take a while to beat.

Brilliant Corners? Is that a game?
Are you using stock? I haven't rooted my gtab. Was hoping it would not be necessary.
Anyone able to use the nunchuck joystick as a proper joystick with incremental speed for walking vs. running? I am only able to map up, down, left and right. I expect it's impossible, but it would make n64oid massively more fun.

Brilliant Corners is a ROM with a 1.2 bootloader by roebeet. It's a lot like Vegan Tab 5.1.1.
I'm using nesoid to play the roms & the wiimotecontoller app to connect the wiimote via bluetooth.
