I have a big collection of Java games that I use to play on my old Tytn II without problems.
But now with Touch Pro I can't play any of them, simply because Touch Pro don't have the 2 hardware keys for the selection of the soft menus. Since 99% of java games use this 2 keys, all games are useless.
Some one has any ideia to bypass this small but big problem.
This is not likely to be fixable without some re-engineering of the games.
Your other problem is surely one of screen resolution... your old phone is QVGA, your new one VGA, so there would also have to be a means of coping with the quadrupling of pixels. This is more difficult to fix.
Have you tried the games on the new phone? How do they appear and run (aside from the lack of softkeys)? I guess you can't get very far into a game...
Cheers,
Graham.
I try'd 3 or 4 games and they all run very fine and in full screen. My problem is only the keys. If only there was a way to remap the buttons.
Tytn II is QVGA, yes? I'm surprised that Java games cope with the change in resolution without problems.
Can you tell me the names of the games you tried, please? Definitely Java? (Java games come as a pair of files, a .JAD and a .JAR, not a .CAB like a native Windows Mobile game.)
This is of interest to me. Java games can almost certainly be made to work.
Cheers,
Graham.
Heya people,
I'm kinda new to the windows mobile scene, so be gentle
Ive been searching through the forums but didnt find a topic regarding this issue..
There are alot of touch games out there that require a htc touch with 320x240 resolution. I tried to play it on my Raphael, but the resolution is 640x480.
The java games are only visible over 25% of the total screen, does anyone know if you can upscale java games? (I'm talking about freeware ones)
Does anyone know yet if the Fuze suffers the touchscreen bug that the TyTN and TyTN II also suffered?
Best way to check is play a game that uses the touchscreen, like a first person shooter.
Or an emulator like finalburn or pocketSNES.
Hi guys,
i just found out that we can have gameboy emulators on our winmo devices (never knew that ). I loved playing pokemon and i think it's a great game to play on my HTC Touch HD. I got Pokemon Gold working with Morphgear. The problem is that the screensize is very small, just 100%. And when i tried to edit it in the settings it didn't change. That's when i found out i couldn't change any setting with a scrolldown-menu :s
Very weird, could some one please help me?
I'm using:
- Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro 23016.5.3.0 duttys
- Duttys HD WM6.5 LEO R6 WWE Rom
- Morphgear 2.4.0.9 Pocket Pc 2003
I hope you guys can help!
