Coders made them for prev generation HTC phones, why not the Tilt?
Probably better posted in the general Kaiser forum...vs the Upgrading forum; however....
I believe that Morphgear works....I have only tried Gameboy (regular) and NES games, but they both work. It does have support for both SNES and GBA.
But as you mentioned, it was created quite some time ago and thus is not optimal for the Kaiser. As I recall, SNES should be "ok" in terms of speed. GBA will be slow.
Using the HTC Performance plugin, the gba emulation is a little bit better. But I still wouldn't play any platform or fast paced games on it. I stick to games like advance wars, or fire emblem, where you can use frameskip without too much consequence. Still better than any ppc games out, IMO.
there are a couple of emu's for snes ive used one called zsnes that seemed to work ok the only problem is the hardware keys being to close.
There was a thread in the general Kaiser forums about NES emulators. Your best bet would to be to ask there, as it already contains some information pertainent to this subject.

Morphgear is the best EMU ever
It got all the platforms
NES , GBColor , works great 100%
SNES, SEGA GENESIS works nice without sound, some bugs with soud
GBA is a little slow

yea, cause you need to launch the exe with your computer and have your phone connected to activesync or mobile device center... its not a cab installer
Morphgear works
pocket gba works faster than morph gear at least it feels faster

I could see where you trying to go with this...nice try but they didn't get the hint.
I have tried PocketCultMame
http://www.pocketcult.com/home.php
But it is so buggy that it isnt an option for the raphael.
Also tried Pocket Nester for NES.
Nester seems to start the ROMs ok but the key mappings just dont work right.
Anyone got these anything or else to work well?
Curious
I would also like to know if the keyboard works with Pocket Nester. Anyone know?

seems to be a general problem
i have tried all the emulators with virtually no luck at all. Seems none of the keys every work for me
same problem here, it seems that HTC used a different technology to number the keys.
maybe because the touch pro has more buttons than most other devices.
Had same problem with games that use mapping (like worms for ppc, doom 1 & 2, etc), as well as with the DOS emulator.
It's a key mapping problem... when is someone going to create a program to use the capacitive part of the TP as buttons (so we can play and emulate stuff?) :^P
For the moment im playing with the device upsidedown, im using the Up, down, left, right as the D-Pad and strg + shift as A and B button.. not a very practical but it works.. i hope there will be a better solution for this problem..
Play full playstation games
I use FPSEce 0.9.6 beta and it works with red alert retaliation. The intro video is laggy but once you skip that and get into the game menu, its smooth.
You just rip your psx games to .iso format and copy to the SD card.

Any Updates?
Has there been any progress on this? I really want the Sprint Touch Pro! But if I can't map the keyboard for use with emulators, that would be a deal breaker.
Have you tried FinalBurn?
You can get it from:
http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-software-games/247894/finalburn-for-wince-0-014/
FinalBurn emulates CPS1, CPS2 and CPS3 games (including Street Fighter Alpha 3).
However there are several problems:
1. Low FPS during match (other games like XMENVSSTREETFIGHTER are better)
2. Jerky UNPLAYABLE performance with Sound ON.
3. Keyboard can't be mapped
4. Controls mapping issue
The degree to which FPS is impacted is dependant on the game.
This is my experience with the HTC Touch Pro.
I think we need a more optimised FinalBurn version.
Another problem is that the processor has to process 4 times more info for the VGA screen so it will probably work better in QVGA devices.
Unfortunately I've not found a way to adjust in game resolution.
This MAME emulator certainly has potential! Try it!
Here is a great solution for the keyboards issues:

i googled around for awhile and found a really great and supposedly rare emulator for nes its hard to find in english since its a jap build of nester only problem is games flip upside down in landscape mode but key mapping works great even with out kforraphel.
If someone know how to flip the screen ide really appreciate it since playing with the keyboard on to is pretty wierd.
also anyone have a good gba emulator outhere pocket gba is alright but not perfect...
bump- anyone how to fix the upside down screen in nesterj4u?
I have a big collection of Java games that I use to play on my old Tytn II without problems.
But now with Touch Pro I can't play any of them, simply because Touch Pro don't have the 2 hardware keys for the selection of the soft menus. Since 99% of java games use this 2 keys, all games are useless.
Some one has any ideia to bypass this small but big problem.
This is not likely to be fixable without some re-engineering of the games.
Your other problem is surely one of screen resolution... your old phone is QVGA, your new one VGA, so there would also have to be a means of coping with the quadrupling of pixels. This is more difficult to fix.
Have you tried the games on the new phone? How do they appear and run (aside from the lack of softkeys)? I guess you can't get very far into a game...
Cheers,
Graham.
I try'd 3 or 4 games and they all run very fine and in full screen. My problem is only the keys. If only there was a way to remap the buttons.
Tytn II is QVGA, yes? I'm surprised that Java games cope with the change in resolution without problems.
Can you tell me the names of the games you tried, please? Definitely Java? (Java games come as a pair of files, a .JAD and a .JAR, not a .CAB like a native Windows Mobile game.)
This is of interest to me. Java games can almost certainly be made to work.
Cheers,
Graham.
is it possible to play .jar java games on the touch pro?

Why don't you try to put one on and try to play it and let us all know?
I actually didn't think that it would work but I tried some of my old games I had for my Nokia 6620 on my HTC Touch .jar games and they worked. However, since I do not have many physical buttons on the Touch Elf - Many of them cannot be played properly and some also do not display full screen. I also did not have any sound in any of the games I tried (Didn't play around though to try to get the sound working).
jar games
yes it is possible to play jar games on htc touch pro but seems very small.
Lol, are you people for real? It's because the games are, at best, QVGA quality, so all those games will appear 4x smaller. You lot have a VGA phone which displays 4x as many pixels.
not all applications are QVGA... there is a game called battleground (i play it xD) and it has scalable resolution... works fullscreen in my TP
of course you can play.jar games, but you need hava games designed specifically for HTC touch pro.
No problem with those as well, if you like one, go to gameloft.com, and choose your phone as HTC 4600 or HTC 3700 (versions for diamond work fine too)
Personally i got like 30 games form gameloft, all of them in VGA quality, and really awesome titles like Miami Nights: Singles in the City, Die Hard 4.0, The Settlers, American Gangster, Ghost Recon, Mummy return, Prince of persia, Football Manager, CSI Miami, Asphalt, and so on.
even if a java game is 4 times lower then the res of the screen
dont mean it dont use the full screen
much like a lcd monitor can play a game fullscreen at a lower res
then it's native
if it's 4 times lower
each pixel will just use 4 physical pixels
thats not true. Java games rarely use pixel resize. In most cases they are designed to suit specific model. I have plenty of games for QVGA, and they take only quarter of my screen, so are unplayable.
You have full screen resize only for PPC games, as they are procesor dependant, not java-engine ones.
If you buy game designed for 640x480 screen, you still have to make sure its properly interpreted by your phone java virtual machine, so in fact, you should buy games for one specific model only to avoid issues.
Thats why in all online games shops you have to select your phone model first, and then you can see available titles.
Versions for HTC touch pro and diamonds are becoming more and more popular, so right now you can buy nearly 60 java titles for your Raphael, and more titles are still under re-developement.

I love my FUZE... I haven't really download games before but this phone is like zen to me. It has an accelerometer / motion sensor wii type controller that will allow one to use the phone as a joystick. I would really be interested in finding games for this but it seems any time I find a cool game that might be available for a 6.1 phone it looks at my phone and says, "not yet buddy, 'not compatible at this time.'" Foo0y.
Any one have advice on this and or sites that are some awesome new age games that would be kick butt on this phone?
I would really love EA's Madden 09 and NBA 09...
Thanks in advance.
every game ever released for windows ce should work unless they cant handle vga
try using search there are 100's of free ones too
like warcraft2, duke nukeem, doom, quake, ....
