Mini USB to Micro USB converter

Hi,
Did you buy this kind of converter?
If yes, where did you buy it?
I found this one:
http://www.fommy.co.uk/view-full-page.asp?skuno=83010
But I am not sure if this can be used to sync data or disk drive mode.
I also found this one:
http://www.pdaplus.nl/catalog/adapter-mini-usb-micro-usb-p-4165.html
Please share your info
Thanks.
The first one looks similar to the one that I got from eBay. It charges fine with my HP data messenger (or whatever it's called) but doesn't charge with the Desire unless I "wiggle" it about.
I bought mine here http://cgi.ebay.nl/MINI-USB-TO-MICRO-USB-ADAPTER-FOR-HTC-DESIRE-HD-MINI_W0QQitemZ110509230074QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_MobilePhones_MobilePhoneAccessories_MobilePhoneChargers?hash=item19badd07fa
But it seems that I can only charge my Desire with my USB cable + converters. It doesn't sync, I tried several of my USB cables.
Yeah I bought the ecell adapters and have the same problem, they only charge. Sent them back for a refund.
I did also get a usb cable from them usb to micro and that works ok, albeit a bit slow. Takes about 15secs to recognise its a drive. Seems to copy files across at a decent speed though.
Anyone had success with mini - micro usb adapters
I am going to buy this:
http://shop.brando.com/mini-usb-to-micro-usb-adapter-w-on-off-switch_p04160c0006d001.html
From the specification, you can charge AND sync !
And it is only $6 + $3 delivery cost (worldwide).

New Zealand interchangeable plug adaptors

Hi
I'm looking for an NZ plug for the HTC USB charger.
I know I can use a UK - NZ adapter, but I was hoping to find a 'slot in' NZ adapter to use with my existing USB Plug ( as supplied by HTC)
They sell the full travel pack here:
http://www.htcdirect.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_8&products_id=765
Which includes the NZ head, but it's £29.95 !!
If anyone has one they want to sell, please let me know
Any Ideas ?
Thanks
Just found my tomtom main / usb charger that I bought in NZ..
Comes with US, UK, AUS/NZ & Euro plugs and cost me £15.00
Spec is: output 5v - 1.0A
I presume this should work as it's the same out out as the HTC.
This is available for £7.97 here:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tomtom-4A00-182-5A00-081-A05T2-05MU-USB-Wall-Charger-/310157216511
You would need a USB / Micro SB cable.
Can some one please confirm this will work !!
I'd hate to damage my new desire
Thanks
I also had a charger marked 5v and 1 amp - works fine.

Do these USB + SD card readers work?

Has anyone here used any of these multi usb sd card connectors on ebay and amazon?
http://www.amazon.com/OEM-Connectio...KK/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1337138991&sr=8-19
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...X2/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1337138991&sr=8-28
They look like they are Shanzhai (Chinese knockoffs) rather than Samsung made, but if they worked as they advertise, it'd be good price. I just don't want to spend 30-40 dollars on the official connection kit.
Amazon reviews are mixed, so I was hoping somepne on XDA had tried them. All feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
The one like that I got from IDS does not work.
This one does: http://www.amazon.com/New-Samsung-Reader-Galaxy-EPL-1PREBEGXAR/dp/B007PTWPDY

I have one and it works, However they have a switch to change between SD and USB so you cant use both at the same time
Do they work with custom roms as well?
I have this one www_dot_dealextreme_dot_com/p/multifunctional-card-reader-usb-hub-for-samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1-black-max-16gb-109775?item=48
(replace "_dot_" by the "." Engine of the forum do not allow to me post the normal links). Works very well! If you connect it to the AC adapter (it has short cable for the USB AC adapter) you can use SD CARD and USB Bar/keyboard/mouse at the same time! If you do not connect it to AC you can use any one port because of the device power limitation.
DX accesoires sometimes tight fit

I have ordered an extra USB cable and a cable to USB port (for gamepad connection), the extra cable was a very tight fit. Had to force it to much in my opinion. How's that with this accessorie?
I have an official samsung one that has never been opened that I probably will never use that I'm looking to get rid of for $10 shipped. I exclusively use my tablet in the car so its docked 100% of the time and therefore can't really use an accessory that relies on the docking port
please email me at agasthya at gmail dot com if you're interested.

Other OTG cables don't work?

Heya,
I have a tablet stand and the cable delivered in the box doesn't fit under the tablet when on the stand.
That's why I'm thinking about purchasing an angled USB OTG cable.
But here's the thing:
Other OTG cables doesn't seem to work? I already purchased a normal OTG cable (just like the one which was delivered in the box), but that one doesn't function.. Do I have a faulty one or will the out of the box OTG cable be the only one which works properly?
Hi
I bought a few cheap ones on ebay. Angled or straight and all work well on my A700 or Galaxy Note.
Just one decided to die after months in my pocket near knife and keys but that's my fault
I guess you got a faulty one.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Turn the tablet upside down, problem solved!!!!
@Itchiee, possbile, but ugly. Also, I don't think that works with every app out there. Was also curious if somebody else experienced this problem.
@laloutre, thank you for your reply. I think it is a faulty one then It didn't work either with my phone, but I guessed it didn't support OTG. Stupid online company. I also bought a usb hub there which also didn't work..
There are USB connectors/adapters out there that are not specified as OTG compliant; these won't work. I got my OTG cheapie from Amazon & it works perfectly:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B005FUNYSA/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Most of the dealers are Hong Kong but a few are in CA. Worth the $2.

Best micro-usb cable

Hi,
I've got quite weird problem. Most micro-usb cables doesn't fit nicely with my phone. I've to push it and it feels like I could break something. Is there company that makes good quality cables like Samsung's original ones?
Pretty easy to get oem cables on ebay.
Ok, but is there any particular company, except oem, that you would recommend?
OEM Micro USB Cable
I have searched everywhere, there is no OEM Micro USB Cable available for Galaxy S4.
On ebay , when you select OEM warranty , no results shows up for Micro USB cable.
Can anyone help me find a replacement, the charger is working fine but I'm unable to find the best cable?
Please advice.
Thanks,
Sid
I've bought an Aukey cable and it works really fine.
Try blueridge. They make some of the best cables. I have one and it even supports fast charging ( qualcomm quick charge )

double yes on the blueridge, been using them a while now and no issues
So Blueridge, Thanks.
try look for Remax micro usb cable which is very durable and good quality. But beware of counterfeit one as there's a lot in the market right now.
I've just got myself an LG cable from ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331618247629 ... The OEM Samsung cable was over 2 years old and was the reason my phone was charging slowly (car charger was fine and swapped an HTC cable onto the Samsung charger and that was fine so definitely the cable ...) - at 300/400mA. With this cable it will charge at the full 1900mA, it seems to fit better (more securely) into the USB port on the phone and it's also slightly longer which is, for me, an advantage.
HTH.

What phone do you use? I threw my stock usb cable (S4) away after it started "connecting/disconnecting" on its own when connected to my PC!
I'm now using my old Blackberry 9380 USB cable which is short and thick AND has NEVER done the same as experienced with stock Samsung cable. I charge with it and flash new ROMS, no problem! :good:
This one time my old stock usb cable disconnected WHILE I'm flashing my S4 with new rom - almost bricked it!
thank you

Hello,.
I can only recommend you one cable, the Anker nylon braided micro usb one, it is the best usb cable I've ever owned.
You do even get a 18 month warranty, you won't be disappointed.
http://www.ianker.com/product/A7116041
As for your problem, it happened too with my new cables. It's pretty normal I think, it's usually over after 2-4 weeks.
I also used a lot of different cables (from my mice, music players, other phones) and those worked w/o any problems as well. Fit like a glove that fits nicely.
Mine is from iOrange-E. It is 6.6ft long and reversible also. Works fine for me.
I love my 6 foot Monoprice cable... Amazing and only 3 bucks with the gold plating(for looks, of course).
These that came with this extra charger are the best I've tried so far.
