Ive used icon changer to replace the standard icons. . all worked fine and love my new icons!!
only probs is that icon changer doesnt bring up a few more program like office mobile etc. . .
and when I try to place my twitter icon on the home screen it still brings up the old one. . even though ive cleared the cache and all other icons have worked. .. also when it shows you a list of programs to add to home screen the twitter one is the new one but adds as the old one. .
how can I change the remaining icons with registry editor and fix the twitter icon??

To get the new twitter Icon to work rename the twitter Icon u want to use
and then you change to the newly added with you icon changer.
Then it should work...

Go to MyDevice--->Application Data--->HTC--->Progluncher
and delete all files in that folder and soft reset. Try that.

Is there anyway to change these so they can look like icons instead of showing a preview of the site. cant do it with CSMI as far as I can see.

I have this app JWMD Iconchanger, when I change an Icon it only changes in the startmenu but not on my quick links.
When I create a new quicklink from the new icon, it just displays the old one...

Go to My device/Application Data/HTC/Proglauncher
Delete all files inside, use JWMD or CSMI to apply new icons, restart and enjoy
Hmmm worked for 2 icons, rest remained the old ones
Rename icons (add a letter infront of every icons name) and copy them back to device. It should then work !!!

Just venture into changing my icons using icon changer and dinks very lovely hd2 set. .
when resetting my phone the new icons show in windows start menu but not on the home screen quick links. . .. although have noticed that the new bing icon does appear on the quick links??? Ive tried just basically readding the quicks but that doesnt work. . .
Iam using cookies home tabs but dont think thats the problem. . .

No you need to go into Application data/HTC/ProgLauncher and delete the corresponding .bmg then reset sense

Since the launch of DINIK - Anastasia - MODS - By You thead, I have been very interested in switching over all my icons to the glass appearance. I ran into an issue last night when i went to switch the Garmin Mobile XT icon on my SD Card, JWD Icon changer came up with an error stating it can't change icon for a shortcut.
I have read the instructions, and i understand how to get all programs that are unregistered to update and added to the icon changer menu. However I cant navigate to my SD card and change Garmin's icon. I really want this glass icon added to CHT, in fact all my icons changed to DINIK glass theme in time. Please help!! any other Icon changers that are user friendly?
Also I've done a search for Icon changer, i've seen threads in the past, i can't seem to locate anything on xda. maybe there not tagged.

The JWMD Icon Changer are by far the best one... If you cant seem to find the Garmin Icon try to rearrange the icon by change the position on the start menu and then go use Icon Changer to change the icon.
It has something to do with it cant find it before you do that kind of stuff not sure why and only need do this on a few of the added icons.

If it still gives you an issue you can find the exe and follow the instructions on creating a new short cut ...
Create you a new shortcut in the startmenu and change that icon ...
Search the forum for info on how to create a new shortcut ...
i know how to create a new shortcut, its simple. even if i do that directly to my start menu. i get the error that icon changer refuses to change that shortcut
im having a simillar issue i think. I try to change an icon, lets say the bluetooth icon for example, i select the icon and select "change icon", but then i cant find any other icons to use. Ive searched the memory card and device memory but cant find them. I need to be able to see the extra icons so i can select which one to use but nowhere to be found. Any ideas?

JWMD Icon Changer, imo the best solution to change icons, has also the option built in to clear the Sense icon cache (tools - manila tools - clear icon cache).

Somebody with your amount of posts would of known to search before posting
you would think so but this stuff is so scatterd out that even a seach sometimes does not render good results. and to you I Say "GOOD DAY KIND SIR"
why not using a simple Mortscript?

this simple script stops Sense, deletes the Icon-cache and restarts Sense.
You only have to copy the lines above into a editor and save it as cacheclear.mscr and finaly copy it to your device.
In most newer ROMs, Mortscript is cooked in, if not so, you will have to download Mortscript and install it.
I already cleared icon cache using JWMD Icon Changer but unfortunatelly i cannot change some old icons on the new ones: Google Maps and YouTube whtch were preinstalled with the system. They're still visible in CHT Quick Links. Any advise?
