Hi all -
I'm using the latest nightly of Cyanogen 7, but this issue has been present for a few months now. I keep hoping the latest nightly will fix it, but I'm starting to worry that it's a hardware issue.
It's gritty and just very low quality overall. Is this a known issue? Or did my camera get messed up somehow.
Thanks for the help!
It isn't letting me post a link to the image, but I can shoot you a link if you're willing to help.
Try and install MIUI camera onto it.

Can't find it in the market. Any chance I can get a link?

I tried the MIUI camera, still seems pretty grainy
Oh how long have that been happening?

Just looked back to a picture I took at the end of February and its pretty grainy. It seems to have been getting worse and worse though.
Can you post a picture?

If your pics are grainy in low light, then that is normal. The camera in this phone is not the greatest in low light situations. If outdoor/brightly lit pics are grainy, then something is probably wrong with your camera sensor.
alright and have you tried a different ROM and see if that worked?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Well I started with Revolution (with Sense) and then moved to Cyanogen. I checked photos back to when I probably had Rev and they were still grainy.
I just checked some of the outdoor photos I've taken. The ones where there's ample light turn out pretty well, but when its a bit overcast or in the woods it's still pretty crappy.
Guess I just have to deal with it.
Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.
I would suggest playing around with the White balance, ISO, and metering mode. I've been able to improve the low light quality of most of my pictures.
currently using MIUI Camera with nice results. might want to try using another camera app like camera360
Looking to find out what camera apps people are using for their sensation xe.
I haven't been able to make my mind up on anything as of yet, Almost everything I find seems gimicky.
I am just looking for an app that improves over the stock version, being ablet o adjust macro levels, exposure, f stops etc.
Not sure how much can be pulled out of the lens but I want as much as I can...
HDR is about the only thing I have seen with any value so far.
Any help appreciated.
Camera 360, Pudding Camera, Camera Fun Pro....
But somehow the most usable is the stock camera
Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out after I die in aliens.
Also try ProCapture and lgCamera
camera360 and zoomfx
zoomfx is paid app
Maybe the likes of 360 has a pro version, I didn't check. but the free version I found is awesome

Night Camera+
Though Night Camera+ is a paid app, it's worth it. Don't imagine you will get SLR quality images or anywhere near point ans shoot, but those grains are processed and removed.
Fast mode: Takes photo immediately in 1440pixels width
Hi-Res mode: Takes 8 photos and merges the best pixels from each photos.

Are you talking about the very first thing you see in the video? If so, it's Task Tray it's in the video.
I think he is talking about the star app in the dock row. The guy clicks that and apps come up on the home screen in a carousel.
I would like to know what it is too. It is not mentioned in the video.
if you mean the carousel then its ultimate faves pro
That is it. It would be nice if they had a free version to test before I bought.
Thanks. Mary have to give it a test run.
Wow. The graphics quality sucks on this! Refund and uninstall. Too bad. It seemed pretty cool.
Hi , my friend show me some pics on his iphone with really great effects on them
one of them was 3d its just make the background a little blury its was amazing i didnt catch the name of the app so if any one got any idea what that app name and if its available for android thanks alot
im guessing that effect is whats called 'tilt shift' possibly.. a few apps do that i believe, instagram definitely does. camera 360 is pretty good and it has that.
Have you got a picture of the sample photo ?
If you have a picture of the sample photo then it would help narrow the app used to do it or are you just looking for anything that can do somehting similar ?
No i just want exactly like it. Ok here is some photos with the some of the effects im talking about

You may increase sensors sensitivity in settings. Rotation angle is limited to 15 degrees to avoid unintuitive rotations.

Well, thanks for advice, i'll make an option to enable full 360 rotation by gyro. I just limited it to 15 degrees right now, because it looked a bit unintuitive, thought.
Is there anybody who liked the app and want to give me feedback?
Added video to the main post. Enjoy!
Here check this out ...i would love this but with a 360 pic

He basically wants to be able to see the entire photosphere without touching the screen...
A really cool idea...

Yeah that's exactly what i want to see...well even so right now it works without touching the screen too..but i want a bigger movement on the screen ..had hard time to explain it
the thing is ..right now it's to similar to the 3D Wallpaper apps, there is really no big difference ...the layout it great i can give you that, but it lack's of the "woow how cool is that"
just give it a try ..thank me later
