I am looking for a cab or good download of the old Windows CE Metaframe Presentation Client. My company has not upgraded to Citrix XenApp for web access yet.
I want to see if I can get this running on my Tilt 2.

Trying to remote control work pc on my mogul. I set up Hamachi VPN and UltraVNC. No problem controlling office pc from home with UltraVNC viewer but I can't get a viewer to connect to office pc from my mogul. Have tried PT Pocket Office, MochaSoft and .net VNC viewers. All say connection not a VNC server. How do I make it work?
try RealVNC,it has a freeware Windows viewer/server version and even a freeware ppc version....
The only PPC I'm seeing on their site refers to the old Macintosh CPU... can you provide a link?
Hamachi + FTP or Pocket Controller

Probably a silly question, but, I gotta ask...
Did you install the Hamachi client on your PPC?
I have finished testing the following products and all work like magic on my Tilt using Hamachi.
Tested: Remote Desktop client for PPC, SOTI Pocket Controller Pro, HFS HTTP File Server, Mocha FTP Server.
Hamachi is installed on PPC and I can IM to/from desktop.
did you use them with ultravnc or a different server? are there any settings on viewer or server i am overlooking?

I was finally able to install RealVNC and it seems to be working with both mocha and .net. I do not see a RealVNC ppc version. Do you have a link?
Pt pocket office and second life.
I am just playing second life and have found a cool demo of someone playing SL through his smartphone with pocket office.
Anyone got any experience with this application and its speed?
The video was pretty impressive, it was very fast and responsive.
It looked to good to be true

Mr. Google has some great links...
Try this one for example: http://home.utah.edu/~mcm5849/wince/vnc.html

I looked at that viewer and many others in my initial attempt to to find a ppc viewer to work with UltraVNC. As RealVNC has a free pc viewer/server version, I read your initial post

to mean that RealVNC also had a PPC version which I could not find at http://www.realvnc.com. Anyway, thanks for the point to RealVNC. The remote desktop works great.
Guys... Please DO search the Wiki whenever possible!
At http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Access your desktop PC from your Pocket PC! , I've really thoroughly compared the different VNC clients and servers. It's an absolute must.
In a nutshell, you'll most probably want to use PT Pocket Office.
Hoping to try out the new RDP client in 6.1 Standard without installing a whole new rom to do it... if possible.
Here here!
I too would like to know if there is a cab file out there somewhere. The MS_RDP_v6.1.cab file for download DOES work on my Motorola Q, but it isn't very smartphone friendly. I hope soon the actual WM 6.1 Standard version of RDP can be found.
I actually wanted to do this in the past, but realized it would be ridiculous to control without a touch screen / stylus.
Hi Everybody,
I'm user of CR96 Touch HD™ v6.5.0.2.2 beta
Looking for working CAB of Remote Desktop Mobile client compatible with my or any other WM6.5 ROM.
I have noticed that for some devices cookers include Remote Desktop client of Microsoft. I hope that one of you can help me out and create a cab with working Remote Desktop Mobile (MS RDP client).
P.S: I tried few, that were avilable on the net, but could not make it to work on WM6.5, only on WM6.1.
Thanks in Advance.
I am also looking for a WM6.5 ROM RDP client.

HI, thanks for the Link. I tried it, but it did not work.
I'm still looking for Remote Desktop Mobile client from Microsoft.
I tried to install different cabs with different ROMS like: CR98 and MSD, with DOtNet and without it.
Please, if somebody knows the way to solve RDP issue on WM 6.5 let us know how.
Thanks
Curious if anyone found a fix workaround for this?
worked for me fine on wm 6.5

work fine on Sony Ericsson Aspen windows 6.5.3 240*320
I have a small problem. I use a netbook (Asus Eee PC 1005HA-H, Atom N280) for my computering. However sometimes I need to have acces to a PC while I'm on the go. I know there is a Remote Desktop program in my HD2, but here's the problem: I use Windows XP Home edition. Which does not have an RDP server in it. There is no way I can use Remote desktop for my laptop sadly.
I do have good experiences with VNC applications such as RealVNC.
So logically, I am now looking for a good, finger-friendly app for my HD2. I am using Google to find more information, but all I seem to find is applications that are from 2005 and VGA, or offers for Viagra.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Finally, after days of searching a mate send me this link via Twitter.
http://www.jamlent.com/2009/11/remote-control-your-pc-with-vnc/
Maybe this will help somebody else. If it isn't going to work I will let it now here.
Any news yet?
Link for the CAB is in that post...
I am currently using the .NET VNC Viewer on my HD2:
http://dotnetvnc.sourceforge.net/
It works. Not the fingerfriendliest App I've seen so far, but.. it's okay for me.
Hi,
I am planning on flashing to a ROM that uses Windows Mobile 6.5. However from what I understand there are two major issues:
1. No all of the Winmo 6.5 roms include Windows Remote Desktop
2. The Windows Remote Desktop 6.1 cabs are not compatible.
Where can I get a functional Remote Desktop Mobile cab file that works with Windows Mobile 6.5?
I honestly have no idea if it works on 6.5 (since I don't use 6.5), but maybe ZaDesktop could be given a try. I use it since my device didn't have rdesktop on it by default and during a reinstall I had to install ZaTunnel anyway.

Got any solutions ?
Here you go; this is from build 28244. It seems to work (I installed it to test, and loaded the app). I've never used RD before, though.
Edit: I tested it out, and it works. Hell, it's kind of cool, lol.
