hey,
I have a Touch Pro, and I tried some ROM's but it seems that the autorotate function never works. I can't find it in the settings. Is there a tool to fix this or what do you recommend to do.
Somebody knows a ROM that doesn't have this problem.

NOTE ::
If you have tried ROMs that include Flip-It or BSB G-Config, and you want the rotation, do not, I repeat, DO NOT clean your Invalid Registry Values or Invalid Registry Keys with ClearTemp, SKTools, or Pocket Mechanic. I can verify that all of these "cleaner" apps will, by default, delete the Rotation Registry String... unless you manually Ignore the Rotation Keys.
I prefer Auto-Rotation to be off, beings that I usually have my Fuze in a Belt Pouch [Landscape Orientation]. Slide-Out rotation ftw!

I keep it off because with it on, the camera does not correctly rotate photos once they are taken.
I've included the SensorSDK 4.2 from the Rhodium S2 ROM in my newest ROM, but I replaced the HTCSensorService.dll with the 3.3 from the Touch Pro. Result? Nothing will rotate but Album (which I removed from the whitelist) because it handles its own rotation. GSensor calibrator works. Do I need a 3rd party program or what to get autorotation working in all programs with the Raph?

Any1 know how to completely disable (i dont want it in memory too) Touch FLO?
Hey...
Try this:
\\\REGISTRY\HKLM\Software\OEM\TFLOSettings\
EnableCube = 0 (original = 1)
It worked on my MDA Touch and i know it worked on some Orbit 2 too....
Tweaking instead of On/Off
The Polaris also has a number of other registry entries under TFLOSettings that, in addition to allowing you to turn Touch FLO on or off, also enable you to tweak its sensitivity. Does anyone know if these settings documented somewhere? I've done a search and found bits and pieces of information but not all the information in one place. Thanks.
WHY, oh why?

Question: Why would you want to disable TouchFLO? I personally think TFLO is the best invention since sliced bread...

I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351082 under Tips & Tricks (post #6) from the Nike forum but it works on the Polaris. I changed the Touch Flo settings on both my Nike and Polaris from 15 to 50 and now it's much faster. Hope this helps, let me know.
Excluding Apps from TouchFlo

I like TFLO. However, certain apps like PhatPad which I use don't behave well with it. So I would like to exclude certain apps from TFLO. I could do this with fTouchFlo by editing a config file. However, I don't know how to do this with TFLO and a search didn't find anything. Anyone help would be appreciated.
Disable TouchFLO - to do or not to do . . .

Good for you. To each his own.
I DON'T like it.
I want to use stylus or buttons only. I don't give a damn about finger functions on the screen.
Let people do what they want. Help them if you are interested and you can, but no need to denigrate them.
Don't take this as a flame - no offense intended - I just recognize that whatever feature exists for any mechanical device, some will love it, some will be indifferent, some will hate it.

I am not sure that is possible. Your best best is to make the PhatPad developers aware of whatever issues you are having so a possible fix can be applied to future versions of the app.
I want also disable TouchFlo and replace it with the 4 cube version SCLPF
Hello, I have my polaris for a week now.
But I have the oppsite problem. My TFLO is disabled, but I don't know why!
I dont have my Polaris in landscape mode, so it should work.
I don't have any strange programms installed.
Can anyone help me with this?
TFLO has reg settings to disable for certain apps. Eg there's one for photo album there.
Is there anyway I can benefit from TouchFlo and some of the SPB softwares (like phone suite, Spb diary, mobile shell etc.) both?
I would like to see multiple appointments on my today screen and also the task list by categories which is very important.
Moreover, I have found that the sound stuff doesnt work properly on any of these roms available here unless i use mobile shell which really keeps phone silent only when i have a calender item that marks me busy. TouchFlo sound option keeps the phone silent eventhough someone's birthday is there on the calendar or even if my out of office event is there on calendar..
when i killed twice manilla2d.exe all that absolutly useless (for me and maybe some other users) stuff as panel in the bottom and large alarm clock which makes my device stupid disappeared. now there is clean screen with wallpaper. very nice, i like it but there is string "tap here to launch touchflo tm". is it possible to disable manilla2d.exe startup on every boot and this start link on the screen? (via system registry file?)
so when it is completely disabled it would be perfect to have some tiny alternative as clock in system tray or on the screen. and one more useful possible function is smth like custom desktop shortcuts.
do you now such software programs?

Hello again.
Following the ROM update to Mitchyprima's 6.1 lite reloaded, I've been looking for apps and games that make use of the now active G-sensor.
So far I've found none.
The only thing it does at the moment is auto-rotate the screen when the device is turned.
I've installed lots of apps and games mostly designed for the touch and touch pro, but none of them work.
Can anyone tell me about any apps that are compatible with the X7510, or any dlls/mods I need to use to enable the G-sensor for accelerometer enabled apps?
Thanks.
i have an app called changer
you can add any app to the program and it will rotate is that what your looking for
You do not need any additional app to have rotation feature. This is already built in the ROM by Michy. You only have to go to G-sensor option and switch X7510 rotation on.
However if you are looking for some games and other apps then I can't help. I know GSen app for rotation, but now it is useless as we have it already and personally do not use anything else.
So nobody is using the G-sonsor for anything except rotating the screen?

I don't even use it for that! I find the automatic rotation a pain in the butt- it's so slow to repond that you have turned to device round and round waiting for it to happen, then it keeps rotating till it catches up with you
I've got AE ButtonPlus programmed to use the Home button to manually rotate the screen. Same with my Diamond- I use PocketPlus to manually rotate it
The screen also rotates to landscape when you put your X7510 on your keyboard.
I like is that way.
The only thing I might find usefull, is scrolling trough your web-browser with the G-sensor.
I don't know hoe accurate this is but you can measure the slope of a surface using the 'bubble level' concept.
Might be a demo but it is on a freeware site
I am using the G-Sensor Calibration for Diamond from this site and it works on the X7510.
Topic on that tool is here.
I've had a lot of issues with the screen constantly rotating on my fuze when i slide the keyboard out. Goes all the way from Monx>Pfcsabre>At0mAng and even self cooked roms in Da_G's kitchen. I never install any kind of g-sensor applications either. All i do is use the default calibrator.
A soft reset seems to fix it for a bit but before long it shows again. It's very frustrating while trying to type an sms/email and it keeps rotating from portrait to landscape.
I've tried to search for it...but if you put in g-sensor or screen rotate all ya get are apps. Has anyone else encountered this before?
Thanks

I did encounter with At0mAng's new ROM...... its too much in convenient that's why changed to my own build ROM. Its some thing to do with gsensor pack used or some drivers used from Diamond ROM( I cook my own ROM in AtOmang's kitchen)
Seems like u have Gyrator installed.... I use Energy Rom and it only rotates to the default orientation when the keyboard slides out... and exception of the new opera...
Package/Application [OEM]
Some applications, such as Opera, handle Rotation internally ... have a look at the .REG/.RGU as well as the .INI file(s). Also verify the OEM .PROVXML's asa some of them include changes to Opera behaviour.
As for other rotation in other applications, G-Sensor (aka Sensor SDK 4.0) provides the abilitiy to configure White/Black list entries. If you look at the G-Sensor 4 package I posted to the OEM Repository (4Shared), you will find a .PROVXML that allows you to quickly define entries for both lists.
The original values for the entries in the .PROVXML are found in the .REG/.RGU file.

That the frustrating part. It does it without being in an app. I can have the phone sitting with nothing running and just showing the tf3d screen..slide out the keyboard and just watch it switch back and forth

Rotation for Phone Canvas and Manila are also definable entries in the White/Black list for G-Sensor 4.
If you're up to it, download the WinMO 6.1.21051 kitchen (and packs) and cook a ROM with the 21051_Test_ERV_Profiles.zip - use the thread paperclip to locate the attachment. It's the ROM profile that I currently use for my device.
The Manila version is 1.2.35845.1_1813.6; Landscape should display and 8 button selection page. If you experience erratic behaviour, it could indicate a hardware related issue.
HTH,
Hello again, fellow XDA'ers...
Is there some strings to be added/modified to get CoPilot to switch from portrait to landscape and vice versa automaticly, like the reg edits used for TomTom7 (found somewhere else on the forum)?
If anyone could post them here, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
no need for that... In teh menu op copilot go to settings, screen orientation and check the 'use device settings' (or something like that).
Iith a tool like gyrator add copilot to the g-sensor applications, and everything works.
i tried this, it worked great for co pilot, but in all, it just doesn't look right, so ill just keep with portrait, till i get my hd2
I recently was given the TP2 as a replacement phone by Sprint which already has the update to Windows Mobile 6.5. I was told that this phone has the auto rotation so that i do not have to extent the keyboard to see my screen in landscape format.
This option is not available in Windows 6.5. A friend of mine has the TP2 for AT&T and they have the auto rotation option in ther G-Sensor options.
Is there a tweak that will enable this feature on my Sprint device?
Will it apply to all apps or only certain apps on the device?
Are the any other tweaks out there that will remove all the overhead apps from the device as well? It does run slower than my old Touch Pro.
Thanks,
BeauGManIII
This feature is automatically enabled on sprint 6.5 stock rom. Maybe you installed something that broke the feature. Try a hard reset.

Thank you for the reply and suggestion. I haven't installed anything on the phone yet. I did notice that it rotates on the browser, pictures and recently discovered texting also. I was under the impression that this phone would change orientation for all applications and not just these. Was I mistaken?
Also, looking for something that will get rid of the many apps that are bogging down the OS and hindering performance. The phone is really slow and lagging in response.
Where Is My Ram is a good app to find what apps are taking the most space and you can delete them with this app as well.
http://mypaq.net/mobilesoft/wimr/
Many of the apps about which you are concerned are in ROM so can't be removed.
Most of these do not auto-run, though, so just sit there passively in the ROM. To which "many apps" are referring?
Follow up
Forgive me for not responding sooner. I'm not sure what apps are loaded that seem to be taking up so much of my program memory. I don't have any programs installed to the phone except Instant Messager, but my Program Memory is down to only 32MB.
Regarding the auto rotation question, i saw another blog with ppcgeeks.com that suggest using gyrator or bsb gconfig to enable the auto rotation function on any program. Does anyone know anything about these utilities?
I'm confused. you have 'nothing' installed, yet you want an app to remove what you have not installed.
The autorotation will really slow it down. I've used one called 'changescreen_inst'.

I use changescreen now on my VZW TP2 running MightyROM and CHT. I haven't noticed any noticable slow down. I was going to suggest changescreen and think he should give it a try to see if it works for his needs. It is pretty configurable in that you can specify programs that you want to autorotate that don't do so by default.
Try this:
- Make Sense 2.5 auto rotate -
1. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\M oduleName
2. Create A New String
3. Set "Value Name" = "Manila"
4. Set"Value Data" = "\Windows\Manila.exe"
5. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\W hiteList
6. Create A New String
7. Set "Value Name" = "Manila"
8. Set "Value Data" = "Manila"
9. Softreset
