RegEdit for CoPilot8 portrait/landscape auto-mode - WANTED - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

Hello again, fellow XDA'ers...
Is there some strings to be added/modified to get CoPilot to switch from portrait to landscape and vice versa automaticly, like the reg edits used for TomTom7 (found somewhere else on the forum)?
If anyone could post them here, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.

no need for that... In teh menu op copilot go to settings, screen orientation and check the 'use device settings' (or something like that).
Iith a tool like gyrator add copilot to the g-sensor applications, and everything works.

i tried this, it worked great for co pilot, but in all, it just doesn't look right, so ill just keep with portrait, till i get my hd2

Topaz can haz Manila in landscape?

Hi, all, a quick question for everyone who has a Topaz if they have manila working in landscape? I tried Flip it but it does not rotate.
sorry for double posting...i must have hit the submit button twice.
Hi, all, a quick question for everyone who has a Topaz if they have manila working in landscape? I tried Flip it but it does not rotate. However, it is working find on DUtty 3.0 from for the HTC HD.
Default it can't be in landspace.
Can be added to whitelist with G-Config, but gets corruption on the right when rotated so its not compatible with rotation. Guess the rotating manilla floating around in cooked roms is from touch pro2.

Hi
Go to thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=502102
or search for TF3D2 Tweak. This installs tweaks that are accessed in your program tab. Find "Manila Landscape On" and click on it. Let the D2 restart and watch Manila rotate. It's so coool.

Flip Manila in Landscape view
Hi All
The landscape workaround in my previous thread is still working fine for those wanting to know if it is bug free. Native WM6.1 apps won't rotate of course but some manila based ones do, eg messaging.
This TF3D2 Tweak is excellent.

Nice one, used it, and it worked like a charm!
Great tip! +1

Landscade with TomTom7 (with gsensor)

Hello everybody...
I was looking for some parameters to put tomtom7 in landscape (or not) automatically with gsensor...
Perharps that can help someone...
Here are the good (and working) parameters to put in registry :
Go to HKCU/Software/HTC/HTCSENSOR/GSensor/
In : ModuleName
Create a String entry :
TomTom value : \program files\navigator\tomtom navigator.exe
(change \prgram files\navigator to your personal installation directory if needed)
In WhiteList
Create a String entry :
TomTom value : MunichWinClass (take care, case sensitive !!!)
I don't know why TomTom is called MunichWinClass !!! Everybody knows that Barcelona FC are the best, lolllll....
Do a soft reset (or turn off/on your phone) and... the most important... try it immediatly !!!
Enjoy...
Wow, I didn't think that would work. Will try it later on today. Thanks!
Work great, many thanks, mate.
works really fine - thanks!
(unfortunately this wouldn't work with iGO8 and Navigon MN7 which afaik both do not support switching between portrait and landscape while the apps are running)
Works beautifully, thanks a lot
Works GREAT, even with audiofix.
Now i have a stable device on my dashboard.

Where can I find HKCU/Software/HTC/HTCSENSOR/GSensor/ ?
try g-config
Hi guys,
have you tried the G-config app,
you can enable the auto landscape with tilt option on almost any program, just run g-config, then run the application you want to tweak.
A truly fantastic applcation, a big thanks to makeral.
Cheers,
Martin

Sure man !!!
But severals persons (like me ) are thinking there is an g-sensor program in Diamond 2... So... I don't wan't to have 2 g-sensor programs at the same time ...
But, gsense, g-config and others... are certainly very good applications ;-)...

That's true!
what G-config does is save us from adding mannualy applications to the white list, just like what is written in the first post in this thread.
does anybody know the value for Live Messenger?
TomTom works great with these register thing.

rotation Tomtom 7 works fine, thanks.
Just a question: it only rotates to left? or I did something wrong?
Only In Landscape
Anybody know of a way to get it so it ONLY works in landscape as when I go round a corner it keeps flipping between landscape and portrait - particularly bad on roundabouts!
Also, how do you change the set angle, 90 / 270 degrees etc?

Constant screen rotation

I've had a lot of issues with the screen constantly rotating on my fuze when i slide the keyboard out. Goes all the way from Monx>Pfcsabre>At0mAng and even self cooked roms in Da_G's kitchen. I never install any kind of g-sensor applications either. All i do is use the default calibrator.
A soft reset seems to fix it for a bit but before long it shows again. It's very frustrating while trying to type an sms/email and it keeps rotating from portrait to landscape.
I've tried to search for it...but if you put in g-sensor or screen rotate all ya get are apps. Has anyone else encountered this before?
Thanks

I did encounter with At0mAng's new ROM...... its too much in convenient that's why changed to my own build ROM. Its some thing to do with gsensor pack used or some drivers used from Diamond ROM( I cook my own ROM in AtOmang's kitchen)
Seems like u have Gyrator installed.... I use Energy Rom and it only rotates to the default orientation when the keyboard slides out... and exception of the new opera...
Package/Application [OEM]
Some applications, such as Opera, handle Rotation internally ... have a look at the .REG/.RGU as well as the .INI file(s). Also verify the OEM .PROVXML's asa some of them include changes to Opera behaviour.
As for other rotation in other applications, G-Sensor (aka Sensor SDK 4.0) provides the abilitiy to configure White/Black list entries. If you look at the G-Sensor 4 package I posted to the OEM Repository (4Shared), you will find a .PROVXML that allows you to quickly define entries for both lists.
The original values for the entries in the .PROVXML are found in the .REG/.RGU file.

That the frustrating part. It does it without being in an app. I can have the phone sitting with nothing running and just showing the tf3d screen..slide out the keyboard and just watch it switch back and forth

Rotation for Phone Canvas and Manila are also definable entries in the White/Black list for G-Sensor 4.
If you're up to it, download the WinMO 6.1.21051 kitchen (and packs) and cook a ROM with the 21051_Test_ERV_Profiles.zip - use the thread paperclip to locate the attachment. It's the ROM profile that I currently use for my device.
The Manila version is 1.2.35845.1_1813.6; Landscape should display and 8 button selection page. If you experience erratic behaviour, it could indicate a hardware related issue.
HTH,

"The Quest" runs on HD2 *FULLY WORKING*

I've been in contact with Redshift about possibly adding 480x800 resolution support to The Quest, one of the better RPG games for WM. The reply I got wasn't great... they won't be supporting the WM version anymore. However, they did mention that 800x480 support works and is built in (aka landscape mode in HD2, HD, X1, etc.)
EDIT: See second post for instructions on how to get this to work.
I got it to work. Here's the instructions:
Install BsB Tweaks, The Quest v 1.04 (Not 1.03), and VGA Fix v.4 (The newest one that works with 6.5)
Start BsB Tweaks, and goto the rotation menu. Add File Explorer to the list of programs that can rotate, and soft reset.
Once phone is back on,use VGA Fix v.4, set res to VGA. start BsB tweaks, and go into the rotation menu. Add the quest to the list of programs that can rotate. Before closing The Quest, or soft reseting, go into the settings for The Quest, and select "Left Landscape" for view. Soft reset.
Now, once phone is back on, goto File explorer. Search out The Quest exe. (usually under program files\games\the quest\), rotate screen so file explorer is in landscape, and *double tap* (see note below) the quest. Congrats, your game should start, touch controls will work, and you wont need to use VGAFix to lose full screen. Let me know if it works for you.
NOTE: it seems that a single click on the exe won't always start The Quest. It will show the white "Starting the Quest" text, then exit back to the file explorer. Double tapping the exe works every time... got me as to why.
Thanks for the tip on the settings and starting the game via landscape mode file explorer. works for me.
where can we dl this game? is it free?
http://redshift.hu/
That's the homepage for the game. It isn't free, unless you do some searching. I will say that the game is worth the 10 bucks they are asking. I can easily waste 30 to 60 hours on a play through, not including the official expansion... or the multiple other 3rd party expansions. A new, free expansion was just released for it, in fact. If you poke around in the forums they list on the home page, you can find a ton of info on it. They do have a demo you can download and try.
I added this to the thread on "Games that work for the HD2". Anyone else try this? Just want to make sure it works for a few people.
Hi,

Same issue.
Where do i find this VGA Fix program?
Seems like the OP was talking about WVGA Fix 4.
Works on my TP2
Hey, thanks for the tip! Works like a charm on my Touch Pro 2.
Doesn't work well on my Omnia 2 - the game starts properly on a full screen but the controls are screwed both in start menu and the game itself (have to tap in competely different places than icons are placed, it looks like there is portrait layout of "clickable" places on a landscape display).
Has anyone found a fix for this?
Awesome tip. Worked on my TP2 as well. Like the tweaks apps too.

Autorotate

hey,
I have a Touch Pro, and I tried some ROM's but it seems that the autorotate function never works. I can't find it in the settings. Is there a tool to fix this or what do you recommend to do.
Somebody knows a ROM that doesn't have this problem.
grettz
esmo
Check my signature for my preferred ROM of choice.
NOTE ::
If you have tried ROMs that include Flip-It or BSB G-Config, and you want the rotation, do not, I repeat, DO NOT clean your Invalid Registry Values or Invalid Registry Keys with ClearTemp, SKTools, or Pocket Mechanic. I can verify that all of these "cleaner" apps will, by default, delete the Rotation Registry String... unless you manually Ignore the Rotation Keys.
I prefer Auto-Rotation to be off, beings that I usually have my Fuze in a Belt Pouch [Landscape Orientation]. Slide-Out rotation ftw!

I keep it off because with it on, the camera does not correctly rotate photos once they are taken.
I've included the SensorSDK 4.2 from the Rhodium S2 ROM in my newest ROM, but I replaced the HTCSensorService.dll with the 3.3 from the Touch Pro. Result? Nothing will rotate but Album (which I removed from the whitelist) because it handles its own rotation. GSensor calibrator works. Do I need a 3rd party program or what to get autorotation working in all programs with the Raph?
