a2dp stereo on magician

hi ,,i installed the a2dp cab file got it working fine ,,but the only problem i have is it will only stream stereo audio from wmp ,,,which i find frustrating because i prefer winvibe,,or coreplayer instead,,
can someone show me a way of makin all my stereo sounds on the magician to work on these apps also ,,,i am using a motorol ht820 stereo headset
i had to edit this for morons like me who cannot be bothered to study and check things out before crying for help like me
ok to get other players etc working its pretty simple really the a2dp patch is only made to run with wmp so the trick to this is to rename your player u wish to use ie gsplayer.exe to wmplayer.exe ,,,yes thats it bloody rename the app u need to use with stereo bluetooth to wmplayer.exe simple as that
and many thanks to this wonderful and glorious site without it i would be f%^$

Yo,
Yes the renaming always works.
By the way, MortPlayer is far more better than any audio player(s) in the world, worthwhile to try.

TCPMP on car

Hello,
I bought a FM transmitter and I'm using with my Wizard to hear MP3 on my car, once my autoradio/CD has no MP3 feature or Flash drive slot.
Usually TCPMP is the MP3 software I consider.
It works very well.
My question is regarding phone calls when mp3 is playing.
Is there any possibility to TCPMP (or consider another software) manage the music and the phone call ?
I mean reduce the mp3 volume and increase phone call volume considering the FM transmitter to be able to hear the phone call on the autoradio/cd ?
Tks in advance.
Best regards,
Cássio
Technically, it's possible - it would involve using the TAPI api, or handling the PhoneIncomingCall notification.
TCPMP is no longer supported, but it's possible that it could be added to CorePlayer as a feature request.
Or, TCPMP is open source - someone could certainly write it. You would just need to find someone willing to.
Cytoplas,
Can U explain a little bit more ?
What is TAPI api ?
How does it work ?
Tks in advance.
Regards,
Cássio
Cyt0plas,
I made some tests on TCPMP and now it is working.
Tks for your help.

WMP hijacking BT controls in some custom builds

I think is should be the correct forum for this. If any of you use core player, nitrogen, pocket music, or whatever, you'll notice that windows media player often hijacks your bluetooth controls. I've noticed this in quite a few pre cooked roms, but not when I cook my own using the kitchen. Is this a bug or a feature of the chefs and can it be disabled?
What you want is a stock "BTHCI.DLL", if i recall correctly

the stock BTHCI.DLL for WM 6.1/Raphael does as you describe. WMP is always controlled by AVRCP, no matter what player you're using (unless it's HTC Music Player). The modified BTHCI.DLL that Da_G provided for WM6.5 corrects that "issue" by allowing other media players to access AVRCP control. However, this breaks the AVRCP functionality of HTC Music Player.
If you prefer to use the 6.5 BTHCI.DLL file, I made a cab install of it:
T-Back 6.5 BT Driver.cab
Thanks to Da_G for providing the updated driver!
P.S. The reason you don't have the issue when cooking in Da_G's 6.5 Kitchen is because Da_G included it in the "Mods" folder.
wow man, you guys rock. Thanks G and thank you captain for the cab. You guys and this community just make every visit fantastic. Thanks a lot for this. Windows media player was driving me nuts.
I have a Sprint Touch Pro and was a little frustrated that I couldn't use the AVRCP controls from my BT8010 with my favorite mp3 player Pocket Music. When I found this thread, I was excited to use the T-Back 6.5 BT Driver and it worked very well! The play/pause and skip/next features work well within PocketMusic! However, now in order to get the audio to play through my bluetooth headset, I need to go to my Bluetooth settings and disconnect then connect my BT8010 before it works.
Has anyone run into this problem too?
Caption_Throwback, You are my Hero!!!!! I have been without AVRCP controls since last May. I use Pocket Player, as it has many controls that I need, but I've been frustrated by their lack of support on this problem.
I will be sending you $$ tomorrow morning.
Wendy, now in N. Calif, but a Bristol Gal born & raised!
Da_G & Captian_Throwback, YOU GUYS are True PPC PIMPS..
Thanks....
thank you for this!
it this "only" for WM6.5?
would be nice for WM6.1 too
Works on 6.1

I'm on an at&t fuze, WM6.1, works like a charm. I mean, all the time, everytime. I use Pocket Player from Conduits for my media player. I have Forward xx seconds and Pause/play again. Life is Good! ps, I don't use Windows Media player, so can't say if it works or not.
you are so right - thank you so much
Thanks for this cab file - I've been looking for an answer for this for ages!
I've installed the cab and bt headset no longer starts up wmp, but still cannot get it to control Coreplayer - do I need to set it up somehow elsewhere, like ACRCP app, and if so, what settings should I use?
Many thanks

It works fine with CorePlayer for me without doing anything. Did you soft reset after installing the cab and/or restart CorePlayer?
Yes mate - done all that. I am using Energy rom 6.5
Maybe I'll try reinstalling Coreplayer or something
Just found this thread and wondering if it will help me. I am presently using NRG's energy ROM for the touch diamond 2 (6.5)
Since going to the 6.5 ROM, BT control only links to WMP but I want it to link to HTC Audio Manager. Will this cab have the desired effect?

Sorry, dont know too much about this but you say it breaks the functunality for htc audio player - it is already not responding to this program. My aim is to disable windows media player funtionality and then somehow create a link to htc audio manager. It probably cant be done but this is one of the few posts I have found that offered a glimmer of hope.
hope they resolve the issue on future ROMs

Unfortunately, you can't have it both ways .
The BT driver included in the ROM you're using is the same one posted in this thread as a cab. It enables AVRCP for all other players (and prevents WMP from launching when trying to use AVRCP controls with another app), but doesn't work with the HTC Music Player. The "stock" BT driver will restore the AVRCP functionality of HTC Music Player, but if you want to use a player other than that one or WMP, then AVRCP won't work at all; it'll simply launch WMP.
P.S. Just to clarify - with the stock BT driver, WMP does NOT override HTC Music Player AVRCP control. So if that's all you're trying to accomplish (for it to behave as the stock ROM), that is doable.
Can you make one for TOPAZ?
Thanks

Listen to music using mono Bluetooth Headset

Hello!
I´m planning to buy a mono ("one-ear") BT headset to get my calls on the go, but I´d also like to listen to my musics on it.
I´ve done some research on google about any hack or program that would let me do this, however I don´t know if these programs work on WM 6.5, because they´re a little old.
Has anyone tried or is still using a program that works on nowadays cellphones (like Touch HD)? I just need this to buy a mono BT headset.
The programs I´ve heard of are: Bluetooth Audio v1.0, BlueAudio, BlueMusic.
Thank you very much in advance!
BlueTooth Audio 1.0 works with 6.5/6.5.x.
This is not a software release and does not belong in this category. See "Questions".
Moved as not software release.
Sorry for posting in the wrong area.
I´m gonna buy the BT earphone and tell if it worked.
Thanks!
It should definately work if you get BlueAudio3 as I use it every day Rollerblading with a mono bluetooth (SE HBH-PV740). Have fun!
