LeoCPUSpeed - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi
i just read about an app called "LeoCPUSpeed" which tells you the current speed of the hd2's cpu and even said to be able to boost it up.
where can i get this app? when i search for it on the web or on xda, all the threads state that there is a tool called "LeoCPUSpeed" and in order to get it, you should search for "LeoCPUSPeed" (you get the point?! )

http://www.netripper.com/leo/cpuspeed/LeoCpuSpeed_v2.zip

wow anymore info on this?

drain batterie ?

i would also like to know more about this... is there an original thread??

I don't know about the original thread but "all" the program does is "Disable autoscaling".
Our HD2 cpu downscale the clockspeed to 768MHz when it's not needed (to preserve battery) but as soon as you open, say for exemple, a program the clock speed will be 1GHz.
Some programs however won't tell the cpu that it needs the full 1GHz during operation (Coreplayer for exemple). See this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=673459
The phone can also feel a little snappier thanks to always running at 1GHz.

Here it is:

where the hell has this app come from?
if it was indeed created by netripper where is the original thread?

CPU Speed
I have used this program for a few days and it's perfect! Makes my HD2 snappier and video playback lag is gone in TCPMP. Battery Drain is acceptable when you disable the autoscaling. You can always choose to reenable. Maybe netripper can make v3 to disable the autoscaling automaticly when the HD2 is waking up from standby. It is a must have!!!!

Copy both to your device then run the .exe

Wow, more development should be done on this app. This will be extremely useful for those apps that require more juice or to conserve power...

This is a great app, but I hope development continues to my wish since I got the HD2; overclocking! I want to see the CPU be taken to 1300MHz, I know the system will work stable at that level as those speeds have been achived in with Android based units. Then the HD2 will be perfect as for some apps like TCPMP and few others, extra juice is still needed!

Feature request...
Feature request for future update: Restore Settings on Start-up

My personal wish would be having something like Chainfire's 3D driver v2.0, where you can specify settings for separate programs. Apps like Coreplayer, myPlayer, OnlineTVx all suffers from the autoscaling bug which is so annoying...

Hmm. If you disable autoscaling, it should stay disabled even after the device goes into standby and comes out again. Doesn't it for you? Only after a reset of the device, the autoscaling is enabled again (unless you manually enable it again).
Btw guys, this was a beta, hence there is no seperate thread about this Someone was just smart enough to browse my site for it
Anyway I'll make a public version soonish. I think I'll also make a very simple cab that just disables autoscaling and puts it to 998mhz and you can put that in \windows\startup\ then. In my test, all the time at 998mhz, doesn't affect battery lifetime at all (or maybe so miniscule that it's not worth mentioning).

That would be fantastic, NetRipper! If disabling autoscaling doesn't affect battery life at all (or at least not worth mentioning as you put it), I would also prefer it off all the time. Looking forward to the public version!

Awesome stuff NetRipper! Thanks a lot and confirmed it works perfect.

Ok, so I installed your ROM in the morning, filled it with all my programs to see how it would behave.
Booting is ultra fast and everything still runs smooth even tho I installed something like 50Mb of programs on the phone's memory.
Tried a movie aswell, 1hour and a half of a DVDRiP running at 640*360, XViD(890Kpbs) and MP3 (130Kbps).
I had flashlite running on the background from my cube, and the movie only messed around once at the 4minute mark, and never again, saw it flawlessly. Used TCPMP v0.81.
Overall it feels very nice, fast and stable, great job here man, keep it up.
As a side note, you could probably consider removing Voice Speed Dial and Office, for it to be even smoother.
Cheers.
This could be flash time....!
Looks great, gonna try it soon. Will let you guys know how it works.
bug report: can not open music player from htc home, seems battery go fast.
HTC Audio Manager not included in this light ROM. You can use Home customiser to change the selection of Home plugin to windows media player, also you can install Audio Manager.

Features:
- simple/advanced mode
- presets
- settings reapply on boot (no init file hacking, i use a service)
- pages/mb views
come on, check the main thread.
0.8.2b is released
0.9b is out, go get it
Thank you for the app.
I have a few suggestions:
-Presets are applied automatically without having to press apply. This is an inconvenient way to see what the settings are.
-The statistics should be uploaded before app exit when settings are finalized as opposed to each time a setting is applied. (When switching through presets this is a double whammy)
-When the keyboard is flipped on the G1 it resets, settings are applied, and the Start up dialog is displayed.
I have v .09
Keep up the good work!
This software is really a godsend. I've never bothered with most of the "Task Killer" programs for exactly the reason AutoKiller was created: Android already has a way to manage memory.
Never occurred to me that the parameters were adjustable though, so thanks for thinking of it and making a useful utility!
Can we exclude apps from being killed, such as the Alarm Clock, etc? Super important for those of us that want to keep out jobs
Clock shouldn't be killed by this automatic killer.
It should be one of the most important tasks on android.

I would like to know too. It keeps killing the email app. Hence I never got any email notifications after a while
I would imagine that the idea of "excluding" apps fro this doesn't make any sense or is even feasible, since it isn't artificially killing apps, rather it is adjusting when Android kills apps, I guess you could add some sort of "keep in memory" option like most new launcher apps have but I doubt the efficacy of those options nor do I know if they can be set via an outside app or whether that must be coded into the app itself...
If its killing off apps you need and use frequently, it sounds like you should lower your presets a notch or two. ie. Optimal instead of Strict

Thats fine, you do that. Some of us like that we can do as we wish with our phones to make them even faster.
Why would you even bother posting? Maybe iPhone is the device for you if you like things handed to you and you just take it? ;-)

Yep, some people have real work to do with their phone, not install random things on it.. So far my "need to root" list is pretty short.
Shortbus.. Not even going to bother on that one.
I forgot, you're too busy trolling and making blackmoor uglier. If you don't like the guy's work, then gtfo because apparently several things are shorter than your list of reasons to root like your imagination, charm, and the micro mini between your legs that causes you to tear down legitimate work that apparently you don't understand. Google didn't engineer a one size fits all solution-- they created an ingenious flexible, scalable open source platform that could be modified into a near infinite combination of solutions to fit any need based on the requirements of oem, carrier, and the hardware itself.

Froyo/Sense Low Battery Life Investigation : android.process.acore task

Hello everybody !
A few people seem to complain about low battery life with Froyo/Sense roms. As I may have a little clue about the origin of the problem, I felt like opening a new topic.
Seems like the task android.process.acore is stuck at 100% CPU for some of us.
Rom Used : LeeDroid v1.8, with latest radio

is it a cpu percentage in a last column?
so there are 100%+6%+7% at the same moment?

Doesn't look like. Disabled contact syncing and it doesn't change anything
That figure does not mean 100% CPU taken up with that process, it means 100% of the 19%. Your cpu is not running at 100%.
You have LauncherPro doing something weird there?
try going into testing mode ie dial *#*#4636#*#*
select battery history
change top line to cpu usage,
I have the following
android system total time 5secs
android.process.acore total time 4secs
htc sense 2secs
etc
or download spare parts from market
The screenshot is from my phone.
It is running LeeDroid 1.7a with Launcher Pro Plus v0.7.4.0.
They stay at 100% when the CPU load is not 100%.
They both have the package: com.fede.launcher.
So is LauncherPro doing something wrong or not?
kill launcher pro and see what happens. Its not a rom issue - i do not use launcher pro and have no issues.
i have also this 2 at 100%, what are anyway?
yes they're com.fede.launcher.

Android System Info
I have exactly the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy S (Firmware I9000XWJM2, Root, ext4 Speedfix)
I also use Android System Info and my screen shot would exactly look like the screen shots posted above.
I noticed a somehow slow behaviour of the device, this started a few days ago. Restarting Launcher Pro doesn't really help. After 5 minutes the two Launcher Pro tasks are back with 100% cpu load. The overall cpu load ist between 20 and 30%.
I have 2 at 100% also but load is between 7 & 27%

[Solved] Heating and Lag. Thermal Throttle Control + Core Disabling

The Complete Solution for LG G Flex 2 Heating and lag
Pre-Requisites
1. Root
2. Thermal Throttle Config File (Attached)
3. Root Explorer (i.e ES File Explorer)
4. Kernel Auditor (Attached one)
Procedure:
We not only need to replace the thermal throttle config file (named: thermal-engine-8994.conf) but we also need to disable 2 cores to overcome heating issue
First download the thermal config file and install a root explorer. in the root explorer go to root/system/etc there you will find the stock thermal config file (named: thermal-engine-8994.conf). rename it to thermal-engine-8994.conf.bak (just to be safe if we need it again). now extract and copy the downloaded thermal-engine-8994.conf file to root/system/etc.
Now For the second step. ive experienced that the kernel auditor on the play store causes problems on many devices so im attaching a version that works. download the attached KernelAuditor.apk dont download from Play store. install kernel auditor. Open it , provide root acess. go to thermal tab. switch off every tweak. then go to cpu tab and turn off the 3 and 4 big cores. Maybe turn on "apply on boot" if you want. Thats all. Heating and lag solved
I made exactly the same post! Please delete...
Great method
This works flawlessly its smoothest experience ever
Stupid question here, I admit it, and I should already know the answer but does anyone know if it's possible to entirely disable the Big Core side of the 810 completely? I mean, I don't play games on my Flex 2, and there's nothing that I really really require 8 damned cores for, nor even 6 for that matter, and I certainly don't need faster cores potentially using more power to run at higher clockspeeds.
Is there something that can be modified in the thermal config file that would allow me to disable all 4 of the Big Core cores? I know it'll let me disable two of them with the instructions from this thread but seriously if I could just set those 4 cores to "OFFLINE" state permanently I don't think it would be a big problem for me.
Anyone? Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?
im currently using only 2 cores. for normal usage phone runs smoothly. just turn on first big core and the first small core thats all and see the magic ill attach a screenshot

[Launcher][5.0+] Fast Draw

I wanted a launcher that immediately shows the installed apps and has an option to categorize them. As I couldn't find one I liked, I decided to make Fast Draw.
It's basically an app drawer without support for widgets (but it does support shortcuts) and it's somewhat configurable. That's about it, it's a pretty simple little launcher.
Please give it a try and leave a comment (I have only tested it on two devices so far, please let me know of anything unusual).

Very fluid on my Oneplus One, currently running the SultanXDA Cm14.1 ROM. All the pref settings seem to work, no problem at all. A very nice launcher for anyone wanting to get right down to business when they turn on their phone, and can do without all the eye-candy of transitions and tons of widgets. Perhaps you might consider enabling just one or two widgets sometime in the future for display on the Home category tab.. All in all, I believe it to be a great start, for what it is.
As far as attaching image files of any sort, I believe all you need to do is to scroll to the bottom of the message pane in the "Additional Options" section, and select "Attach Files" manage attachments. I'll give it a test here to confirm...
Nevermind, I see you figured it out...
Nice job :good:
Works on my tablet with android 5.0.1.
It would be great if we could place the apps freely (to have them organized in way comfortable for us), since it's simple and clean it runs very smooth. It feels like the screen is bigger ?.
My only "worry" is that it consumes more than default (launcher3) even though it has less stuff, so idk, hope to see how you improve this app~

Could you tell me the numbers? I also noticed that it consumed a lot more RAM, until checking launcher3's memory use in Android Studio, and noticing it's a much bigger number than it says on the phone. In Android Studio's monitor both apps seemed to use about the same amount (if not using widgets in launcher3). I don't know why there's a difference.

Numbers? (Sorry I'm not very experienced with android related stuff) but well, I checked the ram usage as soon as I went home and it was consuming around 20mb, whereas launcher 3 was consuming 15mb. The difference is not much but as a simple launcher I thought it would consume less.
Maybe making an option to add the apps like the "shortcut" option on old androids 2.3.6 (like, holding tap then finding the app) that way it doesn't have to load all the app icons on the tab of "unmoved apps" ).
