Installed resco explorer.. and now everything is ****ed up....
the start screen doesnt have anything its just blank,
cant go into settings on the mobile
and alot more... only way to hard reset?
try first a soft reset. or, uninstall resco. but what happened? i doubt that resco did that to your device.
If you read through these forums you will find that very many people (myself included)use Resco Explorer without problem. I agree with Joshzzz and suggest you look somewhere different on your device. Could you post what rom you are using and what you have installed etc.
I don't recall seeing any of such but maybe I just didn't browse alot. I do know Resco File Explorer doesn't cause such problem for the multiple times I've installed, on multiple cooked and official roms, on multiple devices, including the HD2.
I second all those who have posted above.
I have installed Resco Explorer on my HD2 without any issues.
I suspect it may just be a coincidence that your problems started at the same time as installing Resco.
Did you install anything else at that time? Use Resco to alter a registry file? Tweak anything?
Everything was working really good before, im using stock 1.66 btw..
The only thing i installed today was Flashlite to play flashgames,
and i installed resco to change flashlite to play .swf files..
and right after i installed my whole home screen was just blank with alot of resco icons for doing diffrent stuffs...
tried unistall and soft reset.. didnt help now its just totally blank,
and when i enter settings i dont get up that black settings tree to change everyhing
i use BSB tweaks and Cookies home tab
but i never changed anything registry etc.. and resco i only used for 2 hours because it ****ed up so much

That sounds a lot like the Windows Mobile today screen. It sounds like all that has happened is that Sense has turned off.
To turn it back on simply go to:
Start - settings - today - items (tab)
Tick 'HTC Sense'
Then go ok.
Sense will restart.

I had this program working on Dutty's DualTouch v3. Had it installed on my storage card and it ran perfect no problems at all. Well I upgraded to Dutty's DualTouch v4 and there were a couple of issues I had ran into so I decided to revert back to DualTouch v3. Well the program won't open games anymore and I didn't know if there is a setting in the rom that I would need to change. When I open the game I get a grey screen along 1/3 of the bottom of my tilt and the top 2/3rds is black for about 3 seconds and then closes out.
Does anyone have any ideas on what could have happened from when I changed Dutty's Roms?
Dutty's DualTouch v3
Radio - 1.27.15.32
Oh and by the way I was using a different radio when it worked before also which was 1.27.12.17 but I tried going back to it and still same issue.. Just Thought I would throw that in.
Don't you need that tgl.dll or what ever file to make it run?
i re-installed it also and the game opens up just black 2/3 and grey bottom 1/3 and opens for 3 sec then nothing.
I was having this same issue... got it working by going in to options and adjusting the display settings. Try setting it to landscape.
The dll file I think it's more as a way to browse for ROM files instead of having to put them in default directories. I got around this by associating NES files with the emulator (also in options), and then just using file explorer to launch the ROMs directly.

That did it man I really appreciate that. I had the impression that the dll file was just so that you could browse for roms in different or multiple directories. I thought this was a dead thread.
Thanks Again
My font in Comm Manager is messed up. Hardly readable and with missing language specific sings like åäö. Of course it's som of the programs I've installed thats causing this, but even if I uninstall them the right font doesn't appear.
What can I do? Besides hard resetting? Am I missing a font and if so, which?
i have the same thing. are you also using the orbit 2.
No, I've got a Polaris.
I had the same thing on my orbit 2, only way of clearing it was a hard reset. I suspected it was one of the skins i loaded for phonealarm.
no phoneallarm installed and same problem, so...
I had this problem for a while, I did some investigating and found that it was due to my installation of Weather Panel by Marsware. to fix this you need to delete the pixel.ttf and BRADHITC.ttf files found in the "Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel\themes\default" folder, i just renamed them to .bak. do a soft reset and you should be OK. If you don't have weatherpanel, try searching your device for any .ttf file, you should only have three Cour.ttf, tahoma.ttf, and tahombd.ttf and they should be located in \windows (don't delete these three) anything else you find might be the problem, try renaming and then Soft reset.
Same problem here; it appeared after installing phonealarm
search with resco explorer for .ttf
do not delete tahoma.ttf tahomabd.ttf cour.ttf
delete Bradhitc.ttf and
newton.ttf and
Pixel.ttf or anything else
Oh course I have both WeatherPanel AND PhoneAlarm.
But your advice did help. Thanks.
I was thinking what causes Comm Manager choose another font and how to stop it.
I'm thinking of two ways. Either copy the needed font to the same directory as the exe file or make a copy of the needed font and reneme it with an a in fron, if Comm Manager looks for any font, and goes for it an alphabetic order.
Similar thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1871697
I have of course both Weather Panel and PhoneAlarm.
But your tips solved the problem, I uninstalled the fonts.
But what causes Comm Manager do take another font? Does it look for the "nearest" font in a folder close to it or does it choose from an alphabetic order?
I had the same problem in my XDA Orbit, but it isn't the phone fault, but WM's. I'v copied a new font (random one, for skinning Wisbar Advance) into /windows/fonts folder and after soft reset, the comm manager font changed. I think, that maybe, somehow, Windows makes the last used/updated/copied font a default font for it. Try re-copying tahoma in windows/fonts. I can't try it for myself now, waiting for my Orbit 2 hehe, but I know the issue. Hope it helped.
Does anyone know how to stop the pop up keyboard? IN general it doesnt come up, except in OPERA, and man is it annoying. Ive tried a registry key change (hkey_current_user\control_panel\sip\allowchange), but it keeps changing back from 0 (i set) to 1 (the original) after I try to soft reset it to make it stick... Any clues?

Normally it will disappear as soon as you type a letter on the hardware keyboard.
Install both Sleuth's SIP Change and Beemer's Null Keyboard.
After BeemerNullKB.cab the Pro should ask you to soft reset.
Open SIPChange and choose NullKB.
I've tried several other ways using the registry, but all cause problems. This is the best way and it doesn't constantly use any resources. SIPChange just run's once at startup and that's it.
Big thanks to Beemer and Sleuth. I should link to their threads, but just to lazy to search again. Sorry
+1 on KBNull plus Sip Changer.
However I still run in to the keyboard popping up when I am in Opera. It is true it disappears as soon as I start to type something but I would prefer it not come up at all even in Opera.
I may be wrong, but I believe Opera has it's own keyboard. I had a Touch Diamond for a while and I noticed that the font on the keyboard looked different while I had Opera launched. Also in landscape mode Opera has a completely different SIP from the device.

A basically equivalent method I use is the install NullKB and use SKTools to set NullKB to the default input method.
Disable Keyboard on Treo Pro...
This is how I've done it.. Seems to work. I haven't had any problems yet.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip
DWORD:
AllowChange - value:1 - change to 0
DragStyle - value:0 - change to 1
MenuBarHeight - value: 34 - change to 1
stevebrooks,
How do you get registry changes to stick??? Mine disappear on soft reboot. I've searched, and cannot find the answer!
Thanks,
Rich
try backing up the reistry and saving the changes so all will be restored when you restore the resgistry. just a thought

Not too sure why your registry is reseting. Mine is not. I did have a similar problem with registry resets on my Vogue. I ended up switching the Rom for a different one and never had the problem since. Sorry buddy.. No solution for you.
I have a few questions about Manila 2d that I have downloaded on my Samsung Omnia (VZ i910).
-How can you add contacts to your people menu?
-How can you add programs to the program menu?
*I have clicked on both, held each spot, but nothing happens.
-How can I set up my location for the weather tab?
*I have tried to click add location, but nothing works
-I have tried to download a new theme, however each and every time I do so (following directions) the interface only takes up 2/3 of the screen leaving a small area at the bottom under the different tabs of extra space. I had a feeling that perhaps the files I was downloading weren't QVGA, but I downloaded another and it still didn't work.
Also, is there a reliable Manila 2d that supports landscape? I heard some member here was working on it.
Any suggestions are welcomed.
hmmmmm
i too have the omina i910...iim about to install Manila on my phone...but too sure anymore...lol
how is it......

The landscape part, I would check the main M2D thread. I believe that Helmi was close to getting it done. Which version of M2D are you using? I ask because the version might actually be the reason why you can't get it to work properly. I have seen that problem a few times in the early versions of M2D, where people had all sorts of issues adding things to the launchers. Let us know so that we can help you out.
I just spent the last 3 hours getting all the nessary information to install Manila 2D on my Omnia. I got it working. now the only thing is the the flow menu that you use to navigate between all the features (Home, Contacts, Messages, Internet etc...) is 3/4 way down the screen its not at the bottom where it should be. so when i go to Contacts the flow menu is 3/4 way down but all my contacts go down to the bottom. is there anyway to fix this
Thanks
Hey all,
I am currently using the energy rom with TF3D2..
I'm not to good at alterations to the phone and tweaks etc. but i am wondering.. on the home screen where the clock is.. the softkeys are LEFT: Contacts RIGHT: Comm Mgr.
Now my question is.. am i able to change the Comm Mgr. one (as i never use it) to say an action screen that i've installed? I have tried numerous things and they dont seem to work. On the original Touch Flo i knew how to do it but as i said, i cant figure out how to do it on the new one..
Any help would be much appreciated!

My bad. Thats a ROMeOS exclusive thing .
Sounds like you are using WM6.5.
The CHome homescreen takes over the softkey assignments the same way TouchFlo3D does. In order to change the Left and Right Softkey, you'll have to make the change manually in the registry or from a CHome Titanium Customizer.
The registry setting is easy if you know the link url to the file you want
Go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CClock\
Find the Strings "SK2TEXT" and "SK2URL". The SK2TEXT is the name the button will display, and the URL is the link.
If you're wondering, in the main CHome Key (folder) you'll find the SK1TEXT and SK1URL which is the Left SoftKey; although I would leave contacts up there.
he said hes using tf3d2. he didnt say he was using chome.
Thanks for that! I found it in the registry.. the only thing is.. how do i create a URL for the program that i want to run when i click that softkey?
