Of course let's try every key we can, but don't you think the carrier would have restricted it to their signing key only?
Possibly another method that requires UID system that we could do on a terminal app?

Since everything on the mytouch is basically the same as the G1 (with the exception of the ROM), could we fool the NBH that was released for the G1 into thinking it's a myTouch Rom and use it to downgrade, gain root, then upgrade? I'll fully admit that it seems a little far fetched, but figured I'd ask.

no because then the nbh would fail the sig check
The Honorable Mr. Haykuro様 suggested that it should be possible to take an officially released signed-by-HTC NBH containing a hackable SPL, copy it to SD card using a card reader, and booting the phone while holding down the volume-down key. This should flash the SPL with one that allows fastboot.

After purchasing htc magic in india, I too figured out that its SPL is the unfortunate one : HBOOT-1.33.0010 (SAPP10000) : Sapphire PVT 32A SHIP S-ON H : CPLD-12.
Though some options are available to install applications from:
1. http://slideme.org/applications
2. http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/!index
3. http://www.openmarket.co.za/
But above are in no way comparable to Google apps,Market place.
Eagerly waiting for this SPL to be cracked .

It Seems as if your going to need your Magic Original RUU (Vodafone), place it on your sd card shut off your phone and reboot holding volume down and power button to enter fastboot and reflash the original RUU to your phone. Hopefully you can enter fast boot, and hopefully you can find the Magic Original RUU (Vodafone) somewhere on xda or somewhere on the internet. Or maybe you just need the Magic Original RUU (Vodafone) and HTC Sync to get the job done. hope this helps, but this is what I would do next. if adb device shows the serial number, you should be fine. just go into recovery and flash another ROM

Try call to techsupport.
This is a very big problem, when you flashed 32A-related SPL to your 32B-device. Cause 32B-devices don't have any RUU-updates.
i try it today
See if you can flash the T-Mobile MyTouch3G .NBH to your device over fastboot. If you can do that, then try and go back the long way to root that rom and get rid of the perfect SPL it will flash.
Its a long road to travel, but it will get you back a usable device.

I just did a warranty exchange on my rooted Mytouch due to a screen issue. The replacement phone has the 1.33.0007 spl and 2.22.23.02 radio. I tried the sappimg.nbh method and it says "main version is older". Is the goldcard the only method that will work with this or can this spl version be unrootable?

u may be able to do the goldcard method
Do you have a regular mt3g or a fender? That's the same stuff the fender ships with. It can be rooted, but there isn't much point at the moment. If you have a regular mt3g, then maybe there's more motivation for roms.
Yes, i have a regular mt3g. After being rooted for so long and the freedom to flash roms, being stock just sucks. How do i go about rooting with this new spl? The old ways no longer work.

Just look for the fender threads, there's three of them. There's really no point in rooting, right no. no roms, but the stock ones work.
So youre saying i cany revert back to cupcake and use any rom i like before due to this new spl they use for fender?
Im going to attempt the goldcard method over the weekend. Im hoping this will work.

I've officially rooted my phone inspite of this 1.33.0007spl and 2.22.23.02 radio. I used the goldcard method, followed it exactly and I'm now rooted again.

My goldcard is a 2gb Kingston and my normal card is an 8gb transcend class 6.
I simply followed the goldcard directions on theunlockr.com and it worked perfectly.

And this is the problem. Not one single person who claims to have rooted this SPL using the goldcard method has linked to the sappimg.nbh they used. Kinda makes you wonder................

Look for Amon ras' Perfected SPL thread. Find the 2010 SPL rom, and try that before making a goldcard, or even after making a gold card. it will work 98% of the time lol Just rename it to SAPPimg.zip.

So, i'm confused about What I will use, and after that, What ROM can I chose? H/G? 32A/32B?
Please, Help, I'm trying and trying to find a solution to upgrade that device.

What is the device? A HTC Magic, T-Mobile MyTouch 3G (v1), T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Limited Edition, or MT3G v1.2 (headphone jack).
Can't really give you any direction without knowing what the brand/model of the phone is, just o make sure we're not giving you advice that would automatically brick your phone.
For example on my fender there's only one real way to root it, which requires installing an engineering SPL, which turns it into a 32B/H, but then once you flash the correct radio/hboot/recovery onto it, it reverts back to being a 32A/G.

Assuming you haven't already accidentally flashed the wrong SPL on it, you should be able to flash a 32B Engineering SPL (2005) in order to fix the perfected ROM, and grab the RAmon-Recovery 1.62H. But its a Magic 32B which is pretty common (despite H or G), though haven't seen a 3.xx radio on a 32B though...
Probably wait to see if someone follows up on the thread.

Whoa, you better read up on that one, I mean it, it has a DVT board not the PVT be very careful. Most all bricked I believe.

Based on the new information provided, look for a thread specifically dedicated to the DVT boards. The only thing I can really find in google about DVT is that its seen on G1 boards, and that most standard instructions would brick it.

It's the link in my signature, notice how "Rooted" is a hyperlink?
In short:
1) Make a goldcard
2) flash the engineering 2010 SPL
3) flash the stock radio/hboot and 1.6.2G recovery provided in the thread
4) boot into Recovery, flash the rooted stock rom from the provided zip
At the current moment only the stock 1.6 rom works, there are no fully working custom roms yet until either T-Mobile releases an OTA update for 2.1, or until HTC releases the kernel source.

i really need your help im willing to donate $25 for any person who help me on make my phone back to work

Radio is wrong.... Unknown means you have wrong SPL. You didnt install the G, not H recovery.
Please, you guys haver got to start reading instructions rather then thinking you know what your doing and jumping ahead.
Go back and re read the instructions. But, I suggest not because you will probably brick with radio. Plus, where are you guys finding this vodaphone rom your using to downgrade... because its not the right one
I found the sapping.zip on amon thread on how to root and un root ur mytouch! What can i do???? It is fixible???
Also i forgot to mention the hboot is 1.33.009 (sapp 31000)
the 3.22 radio should be right for a 32A I believe... but im confused. You said your phone is 32A (well thats what the info displays) but I think it should be a 32b... SO In conclusion! I believe you have the wrong spl, and your recovery doesn't work cause you were probably using the 32B recovery in the past. So you need to flash the H recovery and if you can get into recovery, awesome. But I think you may need to flash spl, and I would use the 1.33.0010 ENG SPL (double check if this is compatible with your phone)
If this works out, I'd totally accept the $25! Please! hahaha and next time, post in the right section
k re-read your post several times. Since you used some Sappimg, your phone probably isn't even rooted (or is it?). Could you even get into recovery before? AND Crap, you totally need an ENG SPL before you can even flash anything. SOOO You'll PROBABLY (I think you do) need a goldcard and put the correct sappimg on it and go into hardboot (or fastboot if you know what ur doing) holding vol down and power.
This is the wired thing ppl said tha usa tmobile mytouch 3g are 32b cus my first one was a 32b but this one is a 32a its not rooted i was trying to rooted and wen i use the goldcard with the sappimg zip to bring it back to cupcake 1.5 thats what it happen i been seaching for almost a month and i cant find the corect sappimg nbh or zip for my phone can some one give me the link for the corect one please here is the total info of my phone again

Congrats, you're the proud owner of a new type of Magic, the 32A Mytouch 1.2/Fender. None of the existing roms are compatible with it, as the driver sources are not available. Try making a goldcard and flashing an engineering SPL and then flashing the original rom from fastboot. Have fun

I don't know exactly where to find them, just look around and use the search button too, it doesn't bite. Look for goldcard and fastboot: remote not allowed.
