I just "upgraded" to the official wm 6.5 release, and couldn't be unhappier. I'm on sprint and would like to roll back to 6.1. Just not sure if there are any stock roms here. Anyone got a link to which one I should use? I might even consider a stable cooked rom.

thanks, when i tried going to ppcgeeks last night it wasn't responding
I do have the same feeling....WM6.5 is acting too slow than whatever 6.1 kitchen.

hi i recently installed hardspl 3.29 to install the new 6.1 roms.
i would like to know if i can install old stable roms like duttys from april with appropriate radio?
are there any STABLE roms out there without M2D other than dutty? i burned already 10 roms in the last 2 days and everything is really shaky.
Thanks ya'll
anyone? i need a stable phone
I believe if you already have HardSPL 3.29 installed, you should be able to put either WM6 or WM6.1 ROMs on your phone. I don't think it'll make a difference, but then again ever since I got my Kaiser I've only had WM6.1 ROMs on here.
Youwill get your answer in this FAQ's thread of hard spl

Hi All,
I just want to know is there any ROM version with
permanent license on WM6.5 ?
Just because I am tired of updating the rom every month and
reinstall all the game setup after I flash a new rom.
Thanks,
Doug.
Another bit of wasted space....
If your on about time bombs then just move the time forward to 2010 and see if it still works?
Not forgetting all WM6.5 are beta's............
Get SASHIMI and make your life easier or just stick with stock ROMs.

6.5 is still in beta form and has not officially been released as of yet. Us chef's here in kaiser are using the beta windows mobile 6.5 and making it work for your kaiser, otherwise you can use the stock 6.1 build from ATT or HTC..
HTC or ATT will not be releasing a 6.5 build for kaiser as it is a older unsupported device.
Please search before opening new threads.

Well, until we get a official 6.5 rom update (possibly tomorrow, but unlikely IMHO) or the HardSPL finished we can't get 6.5 for Marketplace. However, what I'm wondering is can we get Marketplace on 6.1 now without needing a new rom? Has this been figured out?

hey Guys!
Apparently I am running WM6.5 but not the new Manilla...
See my screen at: http://uploads.kapone.ca/jef/home.jpg
if anyone can tell me what do I need to do to get the good Manilla 2.5 or even 2.6 if its available for my CMDA - Telus - TP2
Here is what I did,
1. I installed RhodiumW CDMA Worldphone HardSPL
2. I installed MightyROM Midnight Blue
I read in many post that I need to flash rom if I wanna be on manilla 2.5...
Do I need to run again the Hard SPL ? or I just need to install a new CDMA rom ?
Anyone have one to suggest me that will work with my phone ?
Again! Thanks! I am sure my post will help a lot of Canadian like me stuck in CDAM box
regards to all of you helping us out there!

that does look like 2.5 to me and to have energy rom running, you did flash your phone
I really hope someone comes out with a radio rom that allows us to unlock the HSPA 1900 access (since the chip can do it according to its specs) with the new network launching today\tomorrow.
How is the rom? any things lacking that telus had installed? an problems with telus? is it crashier or faster than the stock telus rom?
MightyROM is 6.5 but Manila 2.1. You need to find a 6.5 ROM that includes Manila 2.5, one of the NRG ROMs has 2.5, I believe the LEO ROM. Mighty Mike is on Telus so I have to assume it works fine on Telus. He's also rumored to be coming out with a 2.5 ROM in the future, but for now all he's got is 2.1
Yes, you're definitely using the new version of Manilla 2.1 and not 2.5. I use NRGZ's Leo rom and I love it. It's winmo 6.5 and manilla 2.5.
Be aware that 2.5 is BETA and will have bugs. the roms with manilla 2.1 are much more stable. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Leo rom, there's just a couple of little things that aren't quite right (such as having to use winmo messaging if you want to MMS).

Do I need a CDMA ROM
Thanks for everything guys. this is exactly what I was looking for as an answer.
Do I need a CDMA ROM to fit on it ? or any rom found on the Rhodium blog can be use ?
if you have a link regarding the rom you think I should be using please post it.
Again thanks for helping me on that. I can feel i'm getting addicted to flashing my tp2....
cheers guys!
I haven't checked the Rhodium Rom section here, so I could be wrong, but it used to be only GSM versions. To be safe, if you want 6.5 and 2.5, use the rom found at this link.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=86489
Also, once you've flashed it, check out the FAQ here.

By the way, he has 2 different builds. Version 21864 is more stable and based on winmo 6.5. Version 23081 is based on an early beta of winmo 6.5.1 so it's not as stable and has a few more bugs. Not to say it's not worth a good flash though.
Good luck, and enjoy.
Kevin

i hate 6.5 what you have to do for 6.5 is a hardrest and when you in the setup screen make sure the date is like what ever the date is and make sure the year is 2006
first off the version u are using has a beta timebomb in it, there is another version with the fix cooked in, its on here too. you just have to search. The 6.0 u are looking for is on here somewhere, same thing, search.
