I Upgraded My Palm Treo 750v to wm6.5 i really hate this update thought i was going to be good but i want to take the phone back to 6.0 the original software
Upgrade and downgrade is the same process- u just need another ROM image.
so do we know where the rom is i cant find it
there are several roms available here, I would recommend 6.1 which is stable and fast.. 6.5 has a few bugs and needs more ram..

i installed 6.5 rom for my Treo 750 but looks like its demo version and doesnt let me to do anything with my mobile...only get a message thanking for using the version.
can you help me in getting 6.1 rom which works...

i hate 6.5 what you have to do for 6.5 is a hardrest and when you in the setup screen make sure the date is like what ever the date is and make sure the year is 2006
first off the version u are using has a beta timebomb in it, there is another version with the fix cooked in, its on here too. you just have to search. The 6.0 u are looking for is on here somewhere, same thing, search.

It looks like the 6.1 version has already been ported to the Hermes and Universal. Hopefully not all the original Wizard ROM porters have migrated away from the Wizard? It has been quiet on the new build front in here for a while though

today,I got a wm6.1 base rom, I'll port a big volume rom for wizard,big volume means we can put more files into our rom about 10MB more than old rom!!!

I use TxCaesar's wm6.1 Beta 2 and it's very stable, the are a few minor bugs so read up on those first, but not one bug has effected my usage.
I think you need to register to download, but it's worth it...

Use the new Bogart roms by ejoya, also on the txcaesar site listed above. They are based off of the htc s740 rom, and run much faster.

I'm happier with the bogart roms than with Da_G's roms. I ran Da_G 6.1beta2 for a long time, and just recently switched to ejoya's bogart roms. He has 4 different available and so far rev2 is the one I like. Video does work but you can check at txcaesar's for the lowdown on all the bugs(very few in my opinion). There's a couple of threads dealing with them.

read again... that's version 6.0, not 6.1... the latest version of 6.1 is still Beta2 (http://mobile.txcaesar.net/modules....wdownload&cid=2&min=10&orderby=titleA&show=10)

not for i600...i607 only. it will brick your i600.
Starca has a few roms out that are newer, the latest one is BJC ROM 4.3mr1 i think there faster than ejoya's. and if you combine it with Showaco's app's they get better. such as the WPC, feather weather, file changer, just to name a few.
let me clear this up, Starca has a few rom's for the I607... Nokser is working on a wm6.1 for the I600, as i'm sure you already know this by now.

Hello, I bought this phone (Samsung i607) for my wife and it has WM 5.
Is this 6.1 rom a simple update? is it a light version?
She needs the most basic usage of the phone but I thought some benefits of 6.1 could be helpfull... is it ok for this phone or is it too much and better to leave 5?

py8's 6.5 rom is more of less bare bones. but being that it's 6.5, it will need to use more ram than 6.1. but the 6.1 i'm hosting isn't a light version it does have some 3rd party apps on it. but both do not have the att blot, the cookers took all that out. both starca's and py8's roms have around 25M free.

I have been using the Bogart edition (WM6.1_BE rev4 final.nb0.bin). How does starca's rom compare to the Bogart edition? I haven't had any problems with the Bogart rom and it has nice extras. I was expecting it to be buggy because of it's unofficial status but that hasn't been the case.
Please, can someone give some link for an official Rom WM 6.1 in english?

No such thing as a 6.1 official ROM for Wizard. It wasn't supported by HTC/Microsoft.
Try CR86 Touch HD 2.2, S.V.I-923[A4] ANGEL, or TNT.20273. All are very stable, and all are based on WM 6.1 (there is a 6.5 version available for the CR86 ROM, as well).

If i want to use Kaiser unlocker v2.0 than I need the 6.1 farmwere...
in my WM it is in 6.0 farmwere... how to upgrade the 6.1 and where to find this farmwere...?

I wanna ask someone to guide me trough to upgrade my Samsung i600 to WM 6.1. (I sooo badly wanna do it!)
I upgraded a few ROM of different devices without any problems.
When i tried Nokser's first i600 release, i bricked my phone. I dunno what happened, but there was no radio. I gave it into a repair centre, and they had to replace PCB......... thats why im sceptical.
This is what i have:
Samsung i600 Stock WM6.0 ROM
PDA version:
i600UJCGJ3
Phone version
i600UJCGJ3
Eboot:
i600UJCGJ3
Windows Mobile 6 Standard:
CE OS 5.2.1437 (Build 17944.0.3.1)
Can someone please guide me here, if all this makes sence?

Hi there Nokser, my phone has WM6 on it already?
The last time i tried to flash your ROM, it would not boot past the "Ultra messaging" screen, and was stuck there.....
I tried the other way mentioned in that thread where i had to add the XXGG2 phone and boot thing, thats where my radio died.......
Can anyone comment on this?

just keep the stock 6.0. I upgraded a few times to 6.1 but it was too buggy and I really liked the card wheel.

I just dont want to brick my device again....
I wonder why the first upgrade did not work properly.....i did everything as said, and the phone then didt want to pass the "Ultra messaging" screen......
But if so, i will rather keep stock WM6.0, i hoe someone can point me into the right direction....

Ooooooh, btw! I have the Card Wheel as a .cab file works on WM 6.1 Aswell ive heared. I dont take credit for this, i only found it with some hard Googling:

A piece of advice when posting and especially as you are wanting to flash your device...... You need to read a whole heap first and understand what you are doing..... if you do not you will end up bricking ur device and end up a shiny paperweight....
Suggest you read the wiki page and as pilot says the relevant section on xda, and please dont flash if u dont understand the process because we will only see you in here asking for more help on how to unbrick yes?

ps before my first flash i read for hours and days, making sure i understood what was happening, why it was and what to do if it went wrong. My first flash on my prophet didnt go right, but i knew after reading more why and how to correct it.

THe universal is an old device and hence you wont get official 6.5 rom or even a 6.1 come to that lol. If you read the wiki page above like a said before you will find a link to all official roms
so 6.1 or 6.5 will not come to my device
it means i have to use this 5.0 version only ?
lol HTC wont bring out an official 6.1 or 6.5 rom for that device, its too old and they want people to buy new devices, hence why XDA is great!!!
You only need the official 5.0 if something goes wrong, my mate had the same device and used a m2d rom which was very nice, so flash away!!

Download and keep safe an offical 5.0 rom, dont use it unless flashing to cooked 6.1 goes wrong.
There are many good 6.1 roms in the forum, so go ahead and try some when you understand what you are doing
so i dont want to try it if it is not clear that 6.1 is supported ot not
i will only do if u r 100% sure that it is supported
take a look in the universal section, you'll find many 6.1 roms there my friend

I can recommend you Tomal wm 6.1 8.5 or 8.1 ROM´s
Actually wm6.5 ROM´s are in beta and are not so stable, and if its your first time flashing go for 6.1
