Volume Overlay Issues with New Taskbars?

Iv been reading through some of the posts on the forum regarding volume overlays being affected by installing new taskbars as i am having the same problem. In core player, WMplayer etc whenever the usual green volume overlay would appear for volume i am instead getting a black vertical block on the left hand side of the screen, no volume indication at all.
I have installed the default HTC Leo volume control but this gets rid of the speaker icon in the Taskbar i have installed and its a very basic looking volume adjustment which also overrides the HD2's main volume control aswell, so uninstalled this.
Was wondering if there is any kind of update or a file in a cab that would remedy this issue?, its not the end of the world as the volume adjustment still works but theres just no indication. Although having an actual volume overlay looks much nicer than a black box =P.
If anyone could help would be much appreciated
Also forgot to mention I did try to install a cab from a post I read where somebody had included all files that was supposed to fix this issue but after install and soft reset it didnt change a thing. I have the gfreek G_Brains WM6.5 taskbar installed on my HD2 with Co0kie's Home Tab and the Chainfire HD2 3D Driver Patch... if this helps at all.
Same with me, on 1.66 standard ROM (UK).
I don't think this really is fixed on many of the taskbars.
I'm using the one attached below at the moment, has the old style black volume control though, and I would prefer the proper green slide one.
DJC seems to work OK too (do a search), and with the proper green slide volume control, but the voicemail icon isn't included and it's the standard white windows one amongst the nicer looking DJC graphics icons.
i was using the DJC one before but got this one becuase i was having some problems with a few of the icons not working. Posted this really to see if anyone had any idea of how to get this to work with ANY taskbar that was installed because i noticed quite a lot of people having same problems with numerous different taskbar installations. Like i said its not that big of a deal but would be nice to have the volume overlay that i had when i first got the phone (without having to uninstall my awesome new taskbar) =].
Thanx anyway

I am just not finding it!

I have the latest stock ROM for the Verizon TP2 WM 6.5. I have made everything transparent on my home screen except i cant figure out how to make the Verizon Wireless semi transparent bar with the logo go away all together. I have tried half a dozen files and none of them makes it truly go away all together. Other than maybe transparent home slider icons or the slider button(not the slider itself) which I cant get to work either, my home screen would be perfect. Any help would be great. If i am missing the posts just point me in the right direction and i am sorry in advance.

You might have to do a combo of remove curtain + remove logo + personalizer (to change the text "Verizon" to whatever you wish)
Yea exactly what i tried before...but the semi-transparent bar is still there..everything else is gone...need to remove the bar as well.
Thanks for the info anyway.

Here is a whole list of opacity and bar removals, if it isn't here then I don't know where you'll find it.
please take a screen shot of what you want fixed.
Here it is...I would like the semi-transparent bar where the words Verizon are removed. I also want the Verizon Wireless text gone as well. The personalizer cab just makes it disappear temporarily.. and like every couple seconds it flashes on and then goes blank again. I don't want that. I have tried like 6 or 7 cabs and none of them would remove that specific semi transparent bar. On a side note, I wouldn't mind the silver square behind the home icon transparent as well. None of those cabs worked as well.
Thanks for the help!
Unzip rar then copy to windows directory using total commander.

HOW TO: Remove Google Search Bar

Hello!
For those who can not remove the Search Bar from the Home Screen, I found a way to do it.
This is for CyanogenMod 11, KitKat 4.4.3 Build 14/06/2014:
On the Home Screen, you press and hold the screen, untill the "wallpapers/widgets/themes" options come out.
When that happens, press the three dots that look like an arrow, it will open another menu with lots of options to change.
There, the first option you can change is the Search Bar, turn it off. Press the three dots again to minimize the menu, hit back and that's it.
Hope this helped.
This is actually pretty helpful. As I never knew there was extra features like these on the new Trebuchet launcher.
Nice find!

Yes, I found it by mistake, and didn't know how to get to that place again... But once I did, I wanted to share this with everyone.
Now we don't need to change the Trebuchet launcher to get rid of that. Even though it's bugged... When getting the "trebuchet has stopped" error (when adding a widget on the home screen), I just reboot the phone, and it's working again. Although even this sucks...
But at least I'm happy I found how to get rid of that annoying search bar.

I hate Google search bar......
Thanks
I'm having the same issue. I just installed Cyanogenmod on my phone and when I was customizing the home screen, I saw exactly what the OP shows in his screenshots. However, after installing Google Apps, that screen has changed. It only shows the Wallpapers, Widgets and Settings buttons, and no button to expand settings. Pressing the menu button doesn't do anything either. In both cases I was using the default Android theme.

Black navigation on all screens

Hi,
Since the update to one ui 2.0, i have a permanent black bar where the navigation buttons usually go,(i used gestures btw).
Its like the black bar you get under the keyboard which i have turned off, but still just get an empty black bar at the bottom of my screen now.
I've drawn round it in red to show what I'm on about in the attached picture.
Is anyone else having this issue and how i do i remove it.
Thanks in advance
Sometimes the bar will change colour to what's on the screen, but before the update it wasn't there at all.
Hi, I only got that when I used the kwgt app to theme my phone. I still want to know why but anyway once uninstalled my phones back to normal.

How to change Notification pull down area on top of the screen after new update?

Anyone know how to change the notification pull down area after the new update. Im right handed and always try to pull down notifications from the right hand side of the screen. After the update if I pull down from the right hand side of the screen I only get full access button layout without showing ANY notifications. Hope there is a way to change this and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Figured it out. You can use the app Good lock and quick star to change these quick pull down settings
