[App] Trillian beta for android

I searched this forum and did not find anything, so thought I'll create one.
Trillian for Android is out.
Best Android IM client I've used so far.
Nice features in short:
- chat tabs
- bubble conversation interface
- your account details are grouped and saved as an 'astra' account on their site.
- chats sent while you are offline are emailed to you

i've been using it and it's been great!

It force closes a lot when I multi-task back to it. I'm sending logs so I'm sure all the kinks will get worked out by the time it hits the market.

Looks promising, but there is no option to add a MSN messenger account.

I get the FC error when I switch back to it too.
Another think I hope they don't do is add ads to the free version.

I noticed that I don't get a notification (sound nor LED) after receiving a message, and I have to open the app then the notification will appear.
Anyone with the same problem?

I didn't have that problem, but I did have the force close issue.
Also I don't think it yet handles links... tried tapping on a link for half a minute, nothing happened

does the send IM via e-mail when in suspend work for you?
i am shown as online in the messenger, but i dont get the email with a new IM

Anyway, is there a way to remove IM to E-mail?

Tried the app today for a min, it is plain awful.

I can't even use it because I'm getting "wrong password" after registering and trying to login

no major issues on my end but it doesn't place nice with my messengers on my comp signing me out of FB and it not only wipes my WLM display pic(eBuddy also does this) but resets my theme
on the plus side it tells me when i contact is idle in WLM, something eBuddy doesn't do

and it changes your nickname for example my normal nickname qvert is too short for trillian account, if i changed it to something like qvert2 than it changes my nickname in my messenger networks to qvert2 too

It was a disappointment. I also uninstalled for the following reasons:
1) The push function to mail wasn't working on suspend mode.
2) The LED notification does not work.
3) fails to show notification for instant messages, have to open the app in order for notification to occur.
I know it's only beta but it just could not fulfill the basics of a IM chat client at the moment.

Discovered 3D gallery in 2.1

So I was playing with LauncherPro and discovered there's a 3D gallery in the phone now, and it is much much more sleek than mediascape.
When LauncherPro was set as the default home, press the menu button, preferences, Appearance Settings, Dock Background, select custom, and then the 3d gallery appears!!
Anyone know how to access this gallery without all those annoying steps, and use it like a regular app? Screenshots are posted here:

long press screen, then shortcuts, activities, then select gallery. Easy peasy

i also saw it last night and it really amazed me, quite fast and looks really good

Edit: I'm using v0.8.1.1, downloaded it last night off the market

Have a look in the themes and apps section look for a post titled "Gallery and Music Launcher for Xperia X10 2.1", some nice fellow has made an app

Yeah, I love this gallery.
Two questions:
1. Is there a way to add it to the app drawer in LauncherPro?
2. It doesn't really seem that 3d, as the only time it tilts to show the wall is when I reach the end. What am I doing wrong? I've used Cooliris and know how it should work.

Gallery 3D is only the name, its an CoolIris gallery.
The 3D parts is only when you scroll horizontally in the collections.
No actual 3D presentation more than that.

I get that. I've used Cooliris in Chrome on my PC.
It's kind of hard to describe, but when I pan across my galleries (either using either a swipe motion or the slide scroller at the bottom of the app) they simply scroll by flat. The "wall" doesn't tilt away from the point of view and pan across at a perspective angle as it does in Cooliris. The only time I see the "wall" perspective effect, is when I reach the end of the gallery and try to pan further.
Using readily available online images as an example, this is what I expect to see::

OK. Interesting. I hadn't noticed the phone tilt thing. Cool, though less useful IMO than tilting the wall when you scroll.

Installed the update. Still not working, only now it is worse than before.
It still wouldn't allow me to switch apps, it still didn't launch on phone boot up, but now the update prevented me from being able to install apps from the Amazon App Store. I'd hit the install button after the app had downloaded, but it wouldn't register the button press. I could hit the cancel button though just fine. Play Market apps installed just fine. As soon as I Force Stop Fast5, I cold install apps from Amazon just fine.

Very weird. It works perfectly on my device (SGS2) and my friends devices and all emulator devices (2.1+) and i do not get other complains... what's going on?
Have you installed custom rom or something? Do you see all 5 icons? After pressing nothing happens? Or an error?
I would understand if you'd get some errors, but if it's not booting with the device? There is no way it won't boot at normal device configuration...

its a simple task switcher. didn't see any task "manager" function in app(where we able to kill tasks). or it will be available in the future updates?

Yep it's a switcher. Will change topic name, sorry. But it works fine for you, right?

It works now on ICS too. There should be a new version active on the market within 1 hour (as always). There was one issue. Fixed.

Updated version has been released. Should be working fine for everyone, regardless of Android version (2.1 +).

the update fixed task-clicking on ICS
- could you please add #111111 as an background color option? that's the color used by android for notification backgrounds
- when opening notification area the icons reorder after like 1-2 seconds. I guess that's because the app isn't running in bg permanently but it's still quite annoying, especially when you're just about to hit one of the icons and then it gets replaced with a adifferent one
- is it possible to have more than 5 apps? (yeah yeah, then the name wouldn't make sense anymore, but...) there's so much whitespace between the icons, it'd well fit 7 of them

Sure. No problem. Download an updated version (should appear on the market within one hour) and tell me if you'd like something more. Everyone else too . I'll see what i can do.
As for 7 icons instead of standard 5 on really large screens: could you please send me an email or post me here if you don't mind everyone looking how do it looks on your screen?

Check out the newest update (v 1.08). Tick a checkbox in preferences, restart an app and see if that fits your needs . As for more than 5 icons - i'll figure it out if you want to

could you please close the notification bar when selecting an app? always makes me think the click wasn't registered.

This app blocks the 3rd Party App Install on my device (Motorola Defy). You can still press the cancel button, but the install button has no function.
Tested it on a custom CM7 Version and on a Official CM7 Version(with fullwipe).

i had the force closes about 3 times , when i was attempting to
trace and trying to resize correct screen size ( expand )
otherwise working smoothly.Just one more issue.Is it possible to" lock "
"screen" over photo ,as i noticed if you are not careful ,screen would slide "around "
on photo and making any attempt to trace difficult .
As stated above ,i find this app of yours very interesting.
I use the s pen of note 2 ,and it works fine.

Wow that app is really cool and unique! However there is one big problem when I'm using it, okay it's maybe only whem I'm using it! Its really annoying that the backscreen is black-transparentblack, I would love the app if I could change it somehow to white! It would help when reading white pdfs etc. and making notes. It would be really good change for all tiny apps but I for my use it only bothered me when I was using the painting thing... And then eraser is also missing, but thats not as bad thing!

If set up like this will be transparency.

Hello i have the problem with google+ photo app. I couldn't edit photos (use filters, edit contrast, etc.) cause i got error about resources is not avaiable or sth like this - i don't remember error message. At the moment i had another problem. Error message (i have internet connection active, i am online):

Last time when i had this problem at home it works after few mins cause i had wifi connection and google+ photo download these resources. But now when i am on mobile data it is impossible to use edit tools, still have same error message.
Any sollution?
It is possible to use it offline? and don't work in "cloud"? Without any update?
Ps. I just reinstall google+, cleared cache, uninstalled updates, removed and installed again from play store. Still not work.

Bump!
I have synchronization off. All my photos are NOT uploaded automatically (i afraid of google terms of service). So when i want to choose any filter or effects and want to use i have this error.
Probably some effects work with cloud, but why i must have internet connection? Why i can't use google+ photo app offline?
Please it is annoying me so much. Maybe there is on the google play similar or much better app which has the same effects and edit modules like google app? Help me

Reinstalling Google Camera fixes the problem usually.
However Camera cannot be unistalled on Lollipop. Does anyone have an idea how this error is fixed on Lollipop? Nevermind, error was gone later on Lollipop too.

yea this is annoying.
maybe that app isn't fully compatible with lollipop.
try Snapseed, it's same thing from Google also.

Download Google camera app. Take a photo with it. And swipe right to left to view captured image. Now edit it. It will take a while and ur photo editor will be fixed. Make sure u have an Internet connection before doing that.

But why sometimes it appears, even i download content? From time to time this message is appear. I have 4.4.4. Kitkat.

I just upgrade to lolipop and got still the same stupid problem, i tried everything and without luck...

I found sollution, AdFree block update of the google+ photo editor (adfree makes more problems with correct working, easy way is disabling for a while adblocking but i change the app) . I change adfree for Adaway and everything work perfectly
