I reccomend that you flash boot.img in the recovery image terminal

Oh, and if y'all like 3d support and are willing to sacrifice speed and battery life, flash WG-kernel CFS without ram hack, and the corresp. wlan.ko. It'll work, and w/ wifi too.

OK for all people testing this, I am going to make it a REQUIREMENT () that you flash the boot.img at the bottom of the OP. It fixes many issues, including speed. This thing flies now.

Make sure you flash the boot.img!!!
I cannot use that zip because I am on a MT3G and cannot type in my terminal. I just tried installing the right click signing thing, even though simple, I already became confused once I changed the class paths with the errors im receiving.
Regardless, I am trying to find a simple way to sign the zip so I can flash it that way.
download better terminal it has a keyboard for mt3g users

Hello, first of all I want to thanks cyanogen, dwang and DBeCe, and all who those guys thanked to.
So, long story short I combined some of Cy's 4.2.4 improvements with dwang's 1.11 SPEEDY ROM, and DBeCe's blanco gray/silver theme with 5 screens instead of 3, with transparent statusbar and some personal touch to it (I am going to create a new theme as soon as possible, time is of the essence). So far everything is Working!

Just flashed this...so far so good. Spiffing it up a little bit with some transitions, custom images, and various tweaks. I will be running test to see if I can break it. Dwang's roms have always ran well with my phone I expect this to be no different. Will edit this post when done.

Actualy I added separately into my ROM the new contacts, it looks better.

Is it just me or does the Bluetooth app from Cyan's rom force close? I ran fix_permissions and rm -r and added it back still no go.

WOW!!!!! The fastest rom I've ever used on my G1 to date. this thing is flying by and never stopping to load a thing!!! Not to mention I haven't even begun to tweak it. No swapper, no over clocking, just reliable fast and stable, Big ups to you my friend you've delivered a true gem here with this one.
Will def keep an eye out for your other roms to come. I do wish that there were more themes available. But I'm sure they're in the works.

This thing is flying like no other. Everything is flawless. Ran into some force closes but not because of the rom just fix_permisson needed, although Bluetooth.apk is still force closing on me. No worries though no complaints here on my end.
On a side note. Why does it say Droid 2.0? Even when my computer finds my phone via bluetooth it no longer says G1 it says Droid...not complaining just wondering.

It is using Dwang's version of Cyanogen's kernel so I believe it is universal.

Hmm well this is odd. I flashed Slacker's theme and lost all data connection. It wouldn't even find networks for wifi. I flashed Blanco for Dwang and added the res folder from Slacker's theme into the framework-res.apk and still no data connection. But flashed the regular Blanco with anim folder from blur and data worked.....suggestions?

Chuggy and Slow? You gotta be kidding me? its going pretty smooth and fast for me. And I think thats how the Nexus wallpaper should work, it does random shizz at touch. idk though becuz i've never seen it really at work. hmm, ahh well. Thanks for showing interest.

When I was making my rom I found that if you edited
ro.product.model=HERO200
in the build.prop to anything but that, VVM didn't work. So try that for a fix.
It was a sprint based rom, so that might not work, but I know editing that string borke my VVM.

OK well I ended up editing the build.prop to what you said but no dice... didn't work. I'm currently uploading the file now so will send once it uploads or i wake up... which ever happens first, lol

Lol, i already knew about that force close. when you open up mobile network settings. if you replace it with another phone.apk from a different rom it would not force close anymore. This is what you're talking about, correct??

Darch- you are right, but I figured that out. I'm having trouble with VVM though. I have edited the build.prop and swapped some other things but no go. I would work some more tonight but really tired.

Ok i need someone with some knowledge to help me with this because i cant figure it out for the life of me. On darchlegend my phone would constantly completely freeze up and crash, then i flash this and to my suprise not only does it not crash but its much faster too! However i have an old problem reoccuring, after a few reboot when booting and loading htc sense i get the htc sense force close which renders the phone completely useless, nd it continues until i completly reflash the phone. Please any help is much apreciated.

This rom, from my understanding is based off my testing rom i pushed out last week. try my 4.3 rom, its a bit more up to date.
In process of working that out... it has only happened once to me and i get a 3d update force close when i boot.. hopefully tomorrow I can get out another update..
Darch... have you checked out the changes in the build.prop?

I don't understand why so many remove Sprint Nav... considering just about everyone with this phone has it included free with their plan... and Google Nav isn't always accurate and doesn't route around traffic.

Working on an undervolt/overclock kernel. Should be coming soon. Keep an eye out
As for my home screen, I didnt add the background to the rom as i should of, so i am going to upload it to the 2nd post due to the amount of people that have asked me for it I personally think it looks clean

Here is my take. I personally run an odex'd rom. Deodex'n from my understanding saves you space, and also allows you to uninstall system apps, but also could affect performance of the rom. If somone else wants to chime in on it, please be my guest.

that is why i added the removed_apks.zip to the 2nd post. So you can easily install any apps that i removed.

I know Deodexed/Odexed come in to play as far as themes go, but how i dont know. I thought you had to have a deodexed rom in order to theme it. Is that just for creating themes? or do you have to have deodexed to install a theme. Does it matter to the end-user or just the dev when it comes to themes..?

lol had sprint service before working there hahaha im goona start dev-ing for a tmo phone also but im not leaving Epic no time soo unless 1) most users migrate to something else or 2) a "hard to pass" phone come out of the anis of sprint lol

If I'm coming from a fresh Odin of EG22-Deodex version-should I flash the RFS2Ext4 zip from Chris 41g after I Odin but before I flash your Rom via CWM? Or does this Rom convert to ext4 or is this RFS? Thanks homie!
