General contacts question

Ok here is a small question. I have added all of my old phone contacts to the phone contacts. But when I am using the Calender of my HTC Diamond ( which is basicly Outlook ) and set up a meeting, I am not able to add any contacts from the phone contacts. THe list of contacts it empty. So that means there is a phone contacts list and a outlook contact list.
Why? I mean shouldnt this all be handeled by windows mobile? Is there an easy way of getting the phone contacts to my outlook contacts? And will the outlook contacts work for calling somebody?
This just doesn't make any sense usability wise to me..
P.S.: Active sync only "sees" the outlook contacts , which are empty on my phone.

please specify "phone contact". Are these one your SIM card? Because if not, they should be synced with your outlook contacts(in outlook, they should show in contacts now)
Otherwise you can just copy all sim contacts to your phone.
To answer your question, yes you can call outlook contacts with the phone, ofcourse after sync.

Not syncing contacts that don't have an email address?!?

Hi,
I just realized that my outlook contacts do not contain all the contacts I have on my phone. All the contacts in my phone that don't have an email address set are not synced with my outlook contacts... why is that? As soon as I enter an email address in the contact in my phone, it will appear on my outlook contacts at next sync...
I have an HTC Touch with WM 6.1, SBP Shell and Vista WMDC...
Anyone can help?

[Q] htc sync no longer syncs with outlook?

im on win7 ultimate. and i installed the htc sync just now, and all i see is there a option to only sync with windows contacts....not with outlook.
its not letting me choose outlook for contacts or calendar. so when it did sync, it just imported the phone contacts to wab.exe, which is the windows contacts, some cheeseball stuff...
anyone have a fix for this to make the htc sync sync with outlook properly like it use to?

Contacts and Calendar gone out of sync problem

Hi genius people of XDA world!
I use to sync my WM6.5 with Outlook 2007 through Active Sync and XP.
One day after a sync session, HTC Calendar stopped showing birthdays stored in HTC Contacts, and also Outlook 2007 Calendar has no track of them, but Contacts app still have retained all birthday informations.
How can i re-sync (Outlook and/or HTC) Calendar forcing it to track my Contacts birthdays?
I've googled and only found this link http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/commandlineswitches.htm and triedthe /cleanreminders option but did nothing...

[Q] Synching Win Mo 6.5 to Windows Live Calendar / Contacts

I have HTC Diamond 2. I would like to sync my Windows Live contacts and calendar with it. I don't use Outlook. Can someone help?
