hello everyone,
first of all, im very new to this forums and htc world, so please no harsh judges...
couple of days ago i traded my old cellphone nokia n-95 (which i wasnt very satisfied with,as it wasnt my kind of cell phone) for this htc qtec s200 pocket pc. but my trouble now is that i dont know a damn thing about it. currently i have some ****y OS, which is slow and annoying. i checked it out in "about" tab, in settings menu, and it says that im using Widows Mobile 6.1 pro.
i would like to switch it for something faster and better, any sugestions ???

I saw that WM6 has poped up since i lefted pda's for awhile and i would say
im disappointed even more, i saw some ones sig say that you had a o2 mini
with crossfire on it and you custom'ed it please tell me how you did that as i would just do anything to own a WM6 device i remembered how shocked i were when WM5 were announced as not coming out for imate jam and other models and i hated that so if you can just share this with me i would be so happy plz email me or add me on msn i really want WLM and PIE wm5-6

Sorry to disappoint you, but there is none wm6 or 5 for mini, is for mini s aka wizard, sorry.

Why not go and get a Crossbow compatible phone? I think you're a bit over excited for what it is, but if you insist!

yeh, whocares now im not gonna splash out for a portable i will just buy a laptop thats vista powered in months time since of bug control

Sir, one of the members started a new thread says he has done it,means he has done wm6 on magician
I will be getting a Acer Aspire W9423wsmi vista v.2 in the comming month and then im thinking of fetting the new prophet refresh model.. =S idk i just want my lappy badly so i dont care for pdas too badly till i miss even more portability. plus aspire 9423 is the best aspire with 17inch and i didnt want a huge 20 inch....
I won a new touch cruise but am told it was originally from Australia and it still has WM 6.0 on it. I would really love to upgrade to a 6.1 ROM with some nice touchscreen menus, etc but cannto find one that works on either the HTC site or AT&T site. (I am in the US). Can anyone direct me?

hi pal, doesnt matter wheres came from that phone, u can upgrade it to 6.1 rom , there are a lot roms updates in this forum that u can access for free and they have nice screen configurations than original... just look around and read a bit more..

hi guys, im currently useing the TyTn ii, unbranded and unlocked, so im useing o2 UK (payandgo)
it is currently on wm6.1 Pro does anyone know how to upgrade the rom to maybe wm 6.5 or 7?
I cannot post my email address but if you look on my profile, it should be listed. so if anyone could possible help me, that would be great.
i do have a number of issues with this phone atm
The main problem is that my sd memeory card will only regester with the phone when i tilt it, in the memory program, then if i turn the handset off/ i have to do it all again, so im abit hesitant on weather i can run apps / software from it.
i do like this phone alot, but can see myself selling it soon, so if you are intrested it buying it, feel free to make me an offer llf!

Hello all,
Now that I have a few days off before I go back to work for the new year thought I would find a project to keep me occupied.
I have what i believe to be a Dopod /HTC/ 838 Pro.
Thought I would upgrade it and maybe get a few more years out of it, since it has been sitting in my top drawer for the last two years ever since getting my Iphone. Had TomTom running on it as a navigation device, but the Iphone does it sooooo much better that I found I was not using the WinMo.
So in light of the above, any advice appreciated.
I live in Australia so a Rom specific to the region would be great, as I would like to upgrade from WM6 to ----> 6.1 with Touchflo or 6.5 if possible?? Is it ???
Ideally I am after the touchflo experience, I know its a whole buch of fancy graphics etc...but before I get flamed for being lazy and not looking etc thought I would see what your opinions are. (and yes I am being a tad lazy too) please no flames only constructive advice.
I have seen the WM6.1 touchflo installed on the phone on Youtube however could not find the Rom, having searched ..(possibly with the wrong words) but I did try.
Could you also suggest a failproof method of upgrade..
Starting with Hard-SPL_V7 if it is required ???

Hi all, I have just started work on my first windows phone. the last time I done anything like this it was with the Motorola razr, (a while ago I admit). I am looking for any help with upgrading from WM5 to WM6 or above if possible. I started with a cheap phone to gain the experience so I can move on to bigger and better without any fuss.
