Digital Clock Widget... possible to modify the 'onpress' event? - Hero CDMA Themes and Apps

Since I had to remove the worldclock for the clear vanilla lockscreen, I can't get into my alarm clock anymore using Digital Clock Widget. When I tap the widget, I get this in logcat:
I/ActivityManager( 93): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN flg=0x10000000 cmp=com.htc.android.worldclock/.WorldClockTabControl bnds=[86,30][234,100] }
Will just copying the existing clock to the old worldclock filename work? If not, is it possible to edit this in the app's apk?
Thanks for any advice!

With beautiful widgets you can change press for time, date, and weather. That's what I use. Plus it's easy as pie to skin

It doesn't give you the DeskClock default clock in the list to choose from with Beautiful widgets.

Ah. Sorry, I use open alarm so I wasn't aware.

Yeah I wish I could tell it to do nothing when tapped. Right now, it's causing a force close because the default clock app isn't there anymore. I really wish it got along with the vanilla lockscreen.

I just tried the htc widget, and tapping on time does nothing for me. No force close, no app

You mean Beautiful widgets? It doesn't do it all the time, but it happens occasionally. Force of habit... trying to get into alarm clock.

Large icon widget

Is there a widget which essentially just links to an app and lets us choose an icon for it, but takes up a full 1x1 on the screen and hides the name?
Or any other way to achieve this in launcher pro?

Desktop visualizer does exactly this. Also in many more widget sizes.

Works very well, but there doesn't seen to be a way to add folders. Any idea is it possible?

SiMiFolder.
I don't really like the way SiMi manages the files inside the folder. I prefer a full popup of all the apps instead of a tiny horizontal bar which has to be scrolled...

[Q] Which lockscreen are you using?

Just wondering what you guys have set as your lockscreen? Im currently using the Clock, as I found the weather app to get annoying after a while, cool for the first few times though
How about you guys?
I'm using the weather lockscreen and I don't think I'll get tired of it any time soon
Using weather because it's useful and cool.

Anybody figure out if you can make the lockscreen show something other than the current weather?

Well if you click personalize, then weather you can have it show, clocks, friendstream and a few other things
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA App
I think he meant if it's possible to show weather forecast on the lockscreen, not just the current weather and temperature when using the weather lockscreen.
I actually meant if its possible to have another city show besides weather keep polling for your current location.
Close enough
And it seems like you can only have your current location displayed.

Probably only when the lockscreen is visible?
If you go into the weather settings, you can tell it which location is your "current" location and that would be the one showing up. I tested this with Paris, France and my other locations are home, work, and mom's cities.

Using the clock one with the really technical looking clock. It's beautiful, but deep down inside I hate it because it means on the lock screen the time is displayed three times. It's in the status bar, it's above the clock widget, and then of course the clock widget itself.
None of the above, don't like lock screen.
I'm using an app called No Lock, which by pass the lock screen and goes straight to home screen.
Im calling BS on being able to change the weather lockscreen to show anything but the current weather... looked and looked, I see no setting. Now I understand you can change the Clock widget on the homescreen to show different widgets, but not the lockscreen.
Somebody please prove me wrong, and give me a step by step....
Using Widgetlocker as I find the new HTC "ring" unlock system to hard to use when the phone is in a car holder
I'm using my own weather lockscreen. Which is a Pittsburgh Steelers one with weather in front of Heinz field.

Appointments on Lock Screen
Instead of showing weather, I would rather have appointments showing on the lock screen so that one can easily know what is the next appointment without unlocking the device (just like s2u2 does it). Any genius knows how to do that?

[Q] Launcher Pro Plus App Drawer Shortcut on Homescreen

hi guys!
i want to completly remove my dock, and add the app drawer button directly on the homescreen. but i didnt find a shortcut or an activity for this.
using Launcher Pro Plus and Desktop Visualizer.
any ideas?
I don't use LP so I can't help you... but if you want to get really funky and go one step further, you can install Prox without even using a shortcut (as long as you have a proximity sensor).
Not what you asked for I know
wow that looks pretty cool, im gonna play with it
but i think i takes much battery....
Only when the screen is on. I use a Tasker profile to turn my screen off using the proximity sensor. It really doesn't use much battery at all.
kk, i give it a try
thx bro!

I didn't think LP let you remove the dock completely. If you try ADW, you can do exactly that--that"s the way I use it. I specify no dock, five icon rows, and put an app drawer shortcut on the home screen.
sure, I can set the dock (icons) blank. thats all

Got it--I guess you end up with an empty row at the bottom of the screen. Didn't even think of that.
Even better: set your swipe down gesture to hide dock, go to homescreen, swipe down and hide it, then go back and change swipe down to whatever you want to. Presto: no dock!

For me the easiest solution is what I mentioned above. Use ADW and specify no dock in the settings. I'm using Launcher 7 at the moment--no dock there either.

my problem is not the dock...
I want to set the app drawer to the homescreen. and I want to stay on LPP (resize widgets).
I just want the app drawer button "in the middle of the screen".

That's easy then. iirc it's Long press Homescreen/Add Shortcut/Launcher Activity/Open App Drawer.
Or something similar.

Same problem
I just google it to find how to add app drawer shortcut on launcher pro and find this link. I am using ADW Launcher EX but for some strange reason it can't add widgets over MIUI roms and also do not support MIUI icons, It use it owns icon pack so for that reason I install launcher pro, I can add widgets with it and it uses MIUI icons. Strange case here too no way to add app drawer shortcut

Launcher Motorola

Hey guys, I bring the motorola launcher with circle clock widget. Not my work, just tried it and failed.
Enjoy it.
You have ICS and not need root. Install the 3 app normally.

While the initial look is similar to the Motorola widget, it's completely different. Just a few examples.
There are 3 rings, from left to right, clock, weather and battery.
Clock widget flips to show either analog or digital. It also shows notifications for voice mails and text messages.
Weather widget has animation to show sun, clouds etc. It can also be flipped to show weather in different cities.
Battery widget also has animation.
It's really a beautiful widget.
