I have just got my superb touch diamond 2 - which I am now using on 3uk as my HTC Hero (contract phone) is so buggy and im waiting for HTC to pull their finger out with android 2.
Question on the hero there is a gmail program which is push email .. ive managed to set my diamond 2 to push email via the sync however id like a dedicated program
Ive gone onto 3 uk mobile phone home page and there is a link for gmail program however it wont load as im on a non 3 uk phone
can anyone point me in the direction where to download the gmail application ??
the diamond 2 is superb phone im now debating to sell my hero but wanna see what android 2 is like before i make my mind up ...

Search gmail help for "google sync"
Google has a gmail application for java based phones, so download jbed, then googles application, and you should be good. I haven't done it in a while, but I remember I was pretty pleased.
Although now it seems that they have a default client for winmo, it says visit
m.google.com/mail with your phone
gmail offer free push email via active sync just google it and it and it will give you the settings works well i have used it myself if you need any help just message me it works round micosoft exchange..

3 uk have a email push software called 3 email .. it pushes in real time to your htc wm phone .. the problem was that the software is ownly downloadable when you have a 3 branded mobile phone which the htc touch diamond 2 isnt after loads of internet searching ive found the link to download it onto a pc and then you can transfer the .cab to your phone
will only work on 3 uk though and not any other mobile phone provider
if your on 3 and want the push email , message me and ill email you the .cab file
its superb
mind you ive just bought a htc desire with android so I no longer use the touch diamond 2 .....
nothing but google sync has touched my pure and other than some outages on googles side. its GREAT.. no need for a external program .

Hey guys just got a x7510 from UK (live in Aus) and i haven't changed the rom (its still stock, that's because i can't find any roms for the x7510 most what ive looked at are for the previous models).
Ive tried all kinds of threads and methods and i still can't get voip working Have any of you guys made it work?...and so could you please help me? Ive installed the voipwm6.cab (so i could have internet calling) and then did this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299950 . Ive also tried using the sip tool, it still won't work over wifi. Ive also searched Google and this forum and can't find a solution.
Each time i dial ill start dialing than hang up in like 1 second (and the phone doesn't even ring (was trying my house one).
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I could'nt get that working either.
The easiest way is to use SjPhone client. The interface is a bit dated but it works. Another option is Sling, but its sound quality is atrocious, although the interface is better.

No, mine is a Dopod U1000. Voip should be the same on all WM6 devices.

I have also got a Ameo 16G from T-Mobile Germany. You dont want to install an extra program, because WM6 support VOIP according to Microsoft. If you cannot find the function, just because the device producer has bloced it. I have installed a plugin for SIP setting, it was called destr0_VOIP_WM61___SIP_Config.cab, if you cannot find it, pm me your email address, I can send it to you.

I had tried this before but it never worked for me. I think it may work for extremely limited ISP.
Are you able to make call with it and have good voice quality at both ends?
I have tested it on WIFI, it can work on my x7510. Afer installation, there is a new program named sip config tool in your programs, there you should input SIP informations, such as SIP server user name password, next step you can find a new window at the telephone setting named internet, here you can choose when to use VOIP. But I do think, the voice quality of the VOIP can not make me satisfied.
if you install Skype for PPE, it automatically does VOIP, either WiFi or 3G
I now use AGEphone mobile, which has good skin, user interface, and voice quality.

i've successfully installed BeejiveIM_v0_1_.9.2.4 on my D2.
on another site it was written that it can be installed w/o any serial number and need of registering, activation whatsoever.
so, i select No when asked if i want to activate.
then i try to connect to my YMSG account, it shows that it tries to log in...and then i get this "empty" error you can see in the attachment.
can any1 help? do you guys got this application working on your D2s?

I've been using BeejiveIM on diamond 1 and topaz and I had no problem whatsoever...
I now have 0.9.2.4 installed on my Topaz with WM6.1 and it works fine!
Unfortunately BeejiveIM it's the only messenger that I found and I like for wm touchscreen devices... other are just ugly, hard to use, ...

I have also changed the APN to 3services, I can go onto free internet services on 3UK like ebay and planet3?
I want to get the free Skype and Windows Live Messenger to work on this, I have not tried getting Windows live messenger to work yet, been too stuck on the iskoot skype thing, it's driving me nuts.
Has anyone managed to get these free services from 3UK to work on their TG01?
Also I have found that 3UK is now selling the HTC Hero with these free services and I think you can download both Skype and Windows live messenger if you have the HTC Hero, has anyone got the installation files to share or tried installing this on another winmo phone? does anyone know what the HTC Hero user-agent is in Netfront?
Edit: just noticed the HTC Hero is on android and not Windows Mobile, but still other winmo users have managed to get their 3UK skype working through iskoot. Anyone having this same problem or know of any possible solutions? (keep getting the unable to connect message)

What is the 3UK service? I have my skype and live working perfect. Just using wifi not the operator conetions.

3 uk has free skype service which routes calls through a 3's special GSM number instead of internet/3g/wifi. normal skype client routes calls using skype servers but this will cost you data charges but 3's skype routing is free as long as you are on skype. Now, iskoot makes special clients to route skype calls through 3's GSM number.

I really want to be able to use the free skype to skype text and calls even though I have never used skype before, I have created accounts with them just for this purpose.
I don't see why it is not allowing me, I have followed the step by step instructions people have posted on other threads but repeatedly getting unable to connect. Thinking of trying the 16th March Windows Mobile 6.5 update sometime soon to see if it will help.

The new one works fine over phone's network. But still does not have front cam video support. I found a link to one that was supposed to work for the TB and have front cam support but it would not let me login. And it wasn’t an account issue as I can login fine on the one without front cam support....
Oh well....
