This is the best and most efficient live wallpaper ever. It uses absolutely no additional battery over a standard wallpaper, WORKS ON ANY AND ALL VERSIONS OF ANDROID, ROOTED AND UNROOTED ALIKE, and has a cool animation to boot. Sheer Awesomeness.
Edit: Updated version to size properly by increasing size and adding small black bars at top and bottom!
6/10/2010: NOW FROYO COMPATIBLE!
Find it here.
UPDATE 4/28: Have compiled the Ultimat3LiveWallpaper into a Metamorph theme compatible with both free and pro versions. This will only work with Launcher2 , and not currently with HelixLauncher2. Due to the overwhelming amount of time and effort these themes take, I am unsure of an ETA for a HelixLauncher2 version. May wait until December of 2012, because if the world does in fact end before then, it would be a waste of said time and effort. Find it HERE!
Like my work? Buy me a Hot Dog!
Edit: Now modified to work on Fascinate!

Download the file to your computer where you can push it via adb.
Create a folder on your SD card directory named Wallpapers
Rename the file you downloaded to Ultimat3Wallpaper.jpeg
Then adb push Ultimat3Wallpaper.jpeg /sdcard/Wallpapers/Ultimat3Wallpaper.jpeg
Shut the phone all the way down, and wait for the charge light to turn green
Reboot into recovery
wipe your battery stats
reboot again
Goto menu, then Wallpaper
Select gallery
Select Wallpapers folder
select Ultimat3Wallpaper, and viola!

perhaps you are staring at it from the wrong angle? Looking dead on is optimal, and keep any very obfuscatory widgets off your screen. If you make those adjustments and still have issues, try wiping the rotate settings, probably an accelerometer issue.

The battery drain from this wallpaper is terrible. I unplugged my phone ten minutes ago and have already lost 1% of my charge. This would not happen with any other wallpaper!

Incorrect. The battery drain from the wallpaper is no less than from any other where 50% of the wallpaper surface is white. Perhaps you are used to running predominately dark wallpapers? Another possibility is the tendency to stumble and turn slightly when staring at it. If you are standing directly between two towers at the time, the strain of bouncing from one to the other while you wobble will take a definite toll. Also reference the accelerometer issue a few posts up. In the future do some research before you post a complaint, and include a log. Can't fix an issue without a log dammit.
Also, no further complaints will be considered, unless you also blame Cyanogen regardless of whether or not you run his Rom.

@Eric_Murtaugh so are the tile pics for another screen? are you sticking to the zune homescreen and using those for something else?
@crackedvenom hoping someone would ask, ive implimented a way for the user to do text based or tile based pages, best of both worlds. and those customizations can be applied to any page, say like the main page is text but the folder view is tiles
View post below for screenshots!
Zune home is available in the market now. Its the old version that will soon be replaced by Faded Home. Those who already bought Zune Home will get this upgrade for free.

Go to the Zune's home screen, and look at the 'marketplace' link, the text clips to the right and does not completely display the whole word. This is part of the Metro UI design guidelines, part of how the Metro UI works.
It appears as if this launcher replacement doesn't yet do that, instead opting to show the full word itself.
ohh okay, got ya now. well we shall see where he takes this
Cool. Im gonna check that out tonight. Appreciate it.

Keep up the good work on this launcher. I am really excited about it. Not sure if I am at the point where I can purchase it, I prefer to try an app out before buying it even if it is only .99
I have a friend that is a HUGE Microsoft fan and loooooooooooooooooooooooooves his Zune HD....I bet he would go insane if I showed him the Zune HD running on an android device lol
Do you plan on continued support for this launcher and if so what further enhancements are planned?
It looks like a good UI but I'm not able to download it from the Market so could somebody upload the apk somewhere?
Thank you!

I really really like this and hope the developer continues their work . Works very nice with the album art live wallpaper on my DX. I would love to see a lock screen similar to the zune hd.
I love a nice, clean, sleek look, and this is well on its way. Would like to see the actual list of apps when you click "apps" to be in a larger font. One that matches the home screen preferably. Fantastic work thus far and cant wait to see where it ends up. Will continue to pay this dev for their work.

Hmm, I was just wondering, any way you could make one similar, but with the look of Myn's HTC sense lockscreen? The black with white text and green HTC EVO on the sides, etc... somehow just so it matches Myn's RLS 5 theme... any way to make one similar to that? I'd try my hand at it, but have no photoshop skills whatsoevar LOL

Thanks. Still tinkering with some things.
This ended up being a "hybrid" of my original port from the Hero back in the day, with roots from the original motorola droid stock ROM, merged with elements from the CM ROM release.
Still working on a few things. Sucks though, as it has required edits to multiple framework files once again...
absolutely outstanding
Check out the second pic I just added to the OP. Notice I mentioned "hybrid" above? I was able to pull in the music controls from CM for the bottom of the lockscreen as well.
You are brilliant, JS.
We all appreciate your works, and I do believe that nearly all of us use them even if we don't know it.

Ha, I think you're right.
The dilemma is, when releasing, is the "base" starting from the Power Control Widgets framework, stock, both? With music controls, without. Option to go back and forth between slider and rotary, etc.
Yikes.

This has been on my todo list ever since getting the EVO back in October. The darn Power Control Widgets have been taking 100% of my "free" time.
I wanted to step away from that for a bit and work on something else.
It's more fun to get something new going, than it is to keep working on tweaks for the same thing (that gets boring).
Will this cause the alarm clock issue?
I would love to have this it looks awesome.

[EDIT]
Flashing now....will update with bugs if any once I finish playing with it!
So far so good! It runs smooth in ADW launcher and the LPP runs smooth too! The only thing I could find that could need some touching up is the camera app which I don't know if is a CM7 problem or what BUT when you take a picture, it takes an abnormal amount of time for it to show the review. I also have a request for you to add to your rom but I'll PM you that here in a minute!
[EDIT]
Sorry, another thing about the ROM.....The GPS locks in just fine! Accurate to 4 meters which is a lot more accurate then Nighty#39 which locks in at 20 meters or something like that...BUT when trying to lock I noticed that the GPS png was kind of stretched out...NOT A BIG ISSUE with people that aren't as OSD as I am but just wanted to let you know...hahahahahahaha...I know you're thinking, GOD this guy is picky as FU%K but just wanted to let you know in case you did want to fix that!
OVERALL....I thought I wouldn't like the whole black theme but is really nice on the eyes, not too bad! I would look into seeing if you can make the Mms.apk completely black like they got on some of the Sense roms.
Do you mind sharing the icons?
I love those icons. I hope when this is final all the icons are like that. I noticed in the screenshot that Gmail and others were not themed. I am downloading now and will definitely give it a try when I get home from work. Thanks B-dub for your work.

question, coming from a CM7 rom to this one, should I flash a sense rom first to get GPS to work properly, or can I wipe everything and flash this one, and GSP work?

So for some time I've been working on a theme for Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo. By some time I mean "since the middle of January". I'm a bit late to the show, but I've finally managed to cram enough time into it to get things where I'm fairly happy with them.
The whole theme is inspired by the idea of turning the buttons in the drop-down notifier panel into toggle switches. From there I went with a whole late-70s retro hi-fi and electronics theme.
Features:
Tumbler-style battery meter, complete with rolling animations for every percentile!
Old Sony-style LCD screens for information panels
Clear-plastic back-lit buttons
Toggles!!!!
Copious amounts of faux-leather plastic surfaces!
Here's a few screenshots:

ADDITIONALLY:
HERE is the link to ALL of my graphics files, xml files, etc. It's over 50MB of stuff that any developer is welcome to use for building themes, etc. Please be my guest!
Included are all the various graphic files used in this theme, .xml files for the rolling tumbler battery meter, a bucket-load of .xcf files for GiMP which contain the various layers and options for most of the graphics I've built, and the raw graphics I used to assemble what I've built.
FINALLY:
If any Dev looks through this stuff and figures out how to alter the CHARGING code for the rolling tumbler battery to make the throbber AFTER the tumble-animation work, please let me know as I'd really like to incorporate it in an update.
At this point I'm going to try to put together a theme with all this for Synergy, but it may take some time - so I definitely encourage anyone who is interested to take what you like and have a go at it.
Enjoy!

Thanks! If there's demand for it, I could also push out variants with the classic green LCD display, and the more modern indiglo look. I realize not everyone is a fan of orange, I was just trying to really go proper retro.

MDM, very nice work here. I was just looking at stuff in this section and I came across your theme. Totally original, the work you put into this really shows, congrats!
I dunno if this is pretty well-known or not, I do see a few threads in the Galaxy S II section, but I figured I'd let more people know since I just randomly found this on the market.
For those looking for a replacement to their stock lockscreen(and those craving the Honeycomb Lockscreen), SunPengfei brings us Ripple Lock on the Android Market!

There's a bit of customization that can be done and so far everything's worked pretty well for me. You can change the font color, style, and size. There's the ability to have app shortcuts as well.
The free version does sport an ad at the top, but there is a paid version you can buy. I'll stick to the free version myself, just waiting until the quality is a little better, but who knows, I might just purchase it anyways. It's only a buck and some change.
I think it's a great compliment to any honeycomb theme out there.
P.S. Would this be better in Themes? I dunno.

VIDEO from SMARTKEITAI:
Thanks to orlandojumpoff for pointing out the video from this link:

Hmm... seems interesting I'll try it out
I have to say it is quite impressive and fast-ish on the Wildfire :]
It looks nice but it maybe consume battery!

Yeah I thought about that, I've been all over my phone messing with Go Launcher and stuff, so I can't give a good reading, but I'll probably charge to full later and I'll take a look.
If anybody else decides to try it out, let us know!
I ran it for a few hours then it became very unreliable.

I had it for a week or so, and noticed it unreliable too (2.2.2)
Its pretty, and more convenient to "unlock" being able to drag the circle any-which-way you want... but meh.
Doing ok for me so far, but I'm hoping for updates to make it more reliable as well. I did read a few comments with some gripes, but I think it's got potential.
What ended up happening with it for you guys? Was it that 'double lock' thing?
The circle would get "stuck". Had to cycle the lockscreen (via power button) a few times to get it to reset and work. Also found it sluggish at times.
Overall, I thought it was good, if those problems were not there.. but at the end of the day, if its eating even a moment of extra battery, its simply not worth it for me.
Tested on Sense 3.0 Gingerbread 2.3 works but kinda slow
What device do you use orb? I was kinda wondering how it would work on others. I should try it on my mytouch 3g haha.

EDIT: Actually, now that I'm on the computer I can see your sig. Ah well!
Works very well on my SGSII. Looks awesome with HC theme.
Make sure none of the app shortcuts are broken, define a background image and make sure to set ALL options.
it wasn't until I did that that it started working good. REAL good. now I can have my camera loaded up faster than my stock lockscreen would unlock on my DX2
much faster and more useful than stock 2.2 lockscreen.
the honeycomb lockscreen from lockbot is better...
Works well except for the power button not turning the phone back on. Have to push the volume buttons to get the phone turned on to unlock.
Nexus S 4G with CM7 nightly.
You can also use lockbot, I'm not trying to troll but I've used both lockscreen replacements and lockbot seems more like the original honeycomb lockscreen. There is a free and pro version.
Check it out.
-Remember, Android hell is a real place and you will be sent there at the first sign of defiance-
sadly it randonmly works on my x10, using 2.1 version, dunno what's wrong
sometimes it won't change to this lockscreen it gets back to the original one and worst to restart
Inspire 4g with cm7.1.0-rc1 and adw ex. It runs great except for one thing. That thing is after not locking or unlocking the phone for a while it seems that the os is reclaiming the memory as it will load the home screen when you unlock and then after a second or two it will load the lock screen, title bar and all
From something awesome

This is awesome! took a little prodding to get it to work, but i love it!
and i tried lockbot free, but it sucks
EDIT: ok, so, using for a couple hours, i really hate the fact that the volume buttons will turn on the screen on. and, if i don't have it silenced, beep. Its really annoying, and i may end up just uninstalling it if it bugs me too much.
Free version is compatible with the Dell Streak, but paid version is not. I bought the paid version while using a captivate for a couple of days and when I went back to my Streak could not install the paid version. I ask the dev about it and sent information verifying my purchase and the response was that it is Google's fault. Won't fix the issue and won't refund.
Edit: I am on a stock ROM, so it's not because of some strange configuration.
