Bad image and text quality in Opera Mobile 10 - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

I know there are a lot of big threads for Opera Mobile 10 and I know that there is a search function. Believe me I've looked into those threads and also tried to search for my issue, but no luck.
So here is the deal. In Opera Mobile 10 the text and the images quality is very low, pixalated. In the same time with version 9.7 everything is very clear and crisp.
See attached screenshots from the same web page with both browsers.
PS. I know that v10 has the whole width of the page and 9.7 has a little bit of a zoom, but never mind the zoom the quality of the v10 is very horrible. Even the google icon in top right corner looks like crap.

Opera Mobile 10

is opera turbo actvated?

No no, turbo makes it worse.
I forgot to mentione the OM10 settings:
Load images - on
Opera turbo - off
Opera link - off
Mobile view - off
Full screen On
Zoom - 100%
Here is a screen shot from Internet Explorer. Much sharper and clear images and text:

I found the same so went back to the older version.
Very noticable on ebay, item thumbnail quality is terrible and text scaling is crap too.

you can check the real opera settings: opera:config
mayb there is a possibility to set the image quality higher

change the original zoom value !

Changing the original zoom value to 80% does the trick with the text, it's very sharp now, but the images are pixalated. And also 80% zoom is too much:
Also you can see in portrait mode how the page looks like. The text is looking pixalated, not readable at all. The images are awful:
I think changing the Zoom to 90% would fix the landscape mode. But there is not option for 90%, also I've searched into opera:config to change that value, but zoom was nowhere to find.

Don't use Opera 10. Its horrible. Its faster, but its picture and text quality sucks
=.

I've also recently switched from opera 9.7 to 10 and have found that the image quality is terrible (turbo off of course), it seems as if its turning a group of 4 pixels (2x2) into a big, chunky one.
strangely, there haven't been many threads dedicated to tweaking opera 10
p.s. i'm not having too much trouble with the text though

Best and worst browsers.

Due to the lack of multi-touch the better browsers out there can be pretty limiting. So I wanted to share two Gems that I've found so far. Perhaps you'll like them too.
For the best

1) xScope (I use xScope GL (was the one from 1.6) and it works just as well in 2.1 without the whole "Trial" nonsense that xScope 6 likes to add to it.
With this you double tap, upon the second tap slide your finger right to zoom in and to the left to zoom out. This works, in my opinion, better than multi-touch zoom (no need for two hands~) and works really well.
It also has a quick menu where you can list your favorite sites and go from there. Browser is as fast or faster than those that are out there . And I mean, really. Who needs gestures?
2) Miui browser (Found this via xda's front page. If you don't check that often, do. The xda staff do an amazing job recommending kick-ass apps ^^)
For this one, it has the same type of "home" area like xScope and then some extra treats. The zoom works well too. Double tap to zoom in, double tap to zoom out. I just downloaded it a few days ago but it'll easily become my main browser. I'm still finding out neat things to do with it so it could get even better.
I should mention that miui is in beta as well as when you're adding your favorites sometimes they won't save right away. Exit and restart and they should be there. I've also found I can't remove the Music short-cut but >.>; Should work eventually (in an update?)
But yes, give them a try - you probably won't be disappointed. (Although some of you are married to skyfire - i'd say use it when you know you'll be visiting flash movies sites )
For the worst
1) Firefox 4 beta 2 -
Slowed my phone down to TAR. Really really bad. Looks nice though (albeit a bit too much of a clone of dolphin hd) but what it does to Xperia is well... enough to make me uninstall asap.
thank you for the recommendations. i just tried xscope and i have to say, im impressed haha. i tried dolphin browser and hated it. there was just too much going on. i love the simplicity of xscope and the zoom is rather intuitive
Miui translated is really good. I downloaded it a few days ago and it is the best browser i used so far..

Xscope is the sh*t. I ended up buying the full version (the demo graphic was really annoying).

It was opera "mini"
To be honest, I find it a bit lame and slow. The only plus side for most users will be that it does have pinch to zoom. But aside that it might be pretty it really is not a step up from stock. Try the muiu browser it is a bit faster but more intuitive.
Loving it
I find this version is a bit slow on loading, but when the page is fully loaded there is no equal for panning around and reflowing text. However, this is the first beta and functionality can only increase from here! I'm just glad to have my Opera Link back! The functionality is better than stock imo, but the Desire Browser is still the best experience I've had on the Nexus. Although I'm trying out Cyanogen 6.1-RC1 and will be using Opera from now on
I've tried to install it but if failed (because of low memory) and now 5MB disappeared... and even after 5 reboots and deliting few caches i still can't return them
I really like it!
It fast, and beautiful.

The miui browser can't block ads. I can add a urlfilter.ini file to Opera Mobile the same way I can with Opera on my desktop and ads are blocked.
Working on getting it to use a custom style to reflow the page so that blocked ad space is used and not just a bunch of empty negative space. That part isn't working so well
gggggooooooooooddddddd

Transparent browser

I've tried many different browsers with greyscale, inverting, and night modes. But this browser is the first I've ever seen do a clear transparent version before. I've checked all my websites and they all look amazing.
If you like blacked out and clear apps I suggest you check it out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UCMobile.intl
Here is how I make mine look blacked out.
1: get a completely black image, picture, or screenshot.
2: in the browsers theme section set the image you want as the wallpaper.
3: set the background to transparent

Brilliant find, really. Thank you for the tip!
Thanks for the tip.
I've done limited testing so far (did not even figure out how to set trans bg yet...), but while first looking into this on the market, I noticed that there was a mini UC Browser as well. I ended up spending more time on it than their full one.
A couple observations on Mini:
- good UI, but I do have to press my menu soft button twice every time in order to get to the opened tabs icon...;
-less options but also less "clogware" (or just stuff I don't need really);
- night mode a bit "lightish" in shade, but very good since it doesn't affect (invert) pics as Lightning (a similar) browser would;
- use fewer processes/services and about 5 times less RAM than the full version (and app itself is 10x smaller);
- could find a setting to easily switch between desktop/mobile and it seems like page zooming is not really possible... But layout seems always pretty good;
- nice touches like: top/bottom quick btns, bw saving/compression, 3 file downloads at once, auto-reconnect/resume dl (although this is marketing talk cause some site do not allow pause or resume...);
- more to discover..
And hopefully, we'll be able to theme bgs and text colors a little... I'll look into this tomorrow; can't wait... hehe!
Thx again, cheers!
Does UC support flash by now ? Did one of you try UC sync available for chrome desktop to sync tabs .... ?
That's great I love this one

Looking for flexible and reliable power user web browsers. Feedback welcome.

Hello!
A succint presentation first of all:
I am a power user who likes to browse the internet desktop style, this means I use custom desktop user agent (X11; Linux x86_64). I operate in landscape most of the time and use a reduced screen dpi value for sites and apps to think my screen is a lot bigger (at times I reduce it to actual desktop monitor levels). Take a peek:

Been using Chrome for some years already, with the usual root user user agent hack and many flag optimizations. It still is a great browser imho, but it is starting to seriously stink. If I do recall correctly with the v62 update the address bar tab switching slide left/right thing received an animation which degraded its performance from flawless instant into slow piece of crap. Also at that point or some version later my keyboard's Enter/Go key started turning into Next in some search fields where it shouldn't (this is nothing major as the ALT key forces normal operation). In the recent v71 they removed the homepage links to Bookmarks :crying: and Downloads. When I downgraded from v71 to a previous version, the browser deleted all the files it had in his download history from my device's Download folder (this is super bad and a serious violation of privacy). With the very latest update which for now I am going to uninstall, they have added another stupid animation to the page search engine which of course cripples it considerably when using it in pages with a lot of content. As an example, when searching for a device in the Batteries and chargers' section at lygte-info.dk the search was instant before that upgrade downgrade, now it takes many orders of magnitude more time, i.e. it's a slow piece of sh1t.
It's going downhill or so it seems to me. What a waste of development efforts.
In essence, my question is what are the possible alternatives. I like good bookmark management (with folders and search function) and cloud syncing. I despise explicit and/or slow interface animations, I despise unnecessary crap getting in the way of my high FoV. The more flexibility and options the better.
C'mon, say something.

Wanbo T6R Max can't get HDR

I just got T6R Max today and the built-in apps (Netflix, Prime, etc.) are showing way too bad image quality. I connected it to my pc and made some comparisons and pc was way better. However, still I don't think I am getting HDR image and it actually looks horrible.
It says SDR at the top left. There is an option called HDMI 2.0 and there are ''On'' ''Off'' ''Auto'' options. Can somebody explain what this option is for? My HDMI cable is KabelDirekt HDMI 2.0 18Gbit/s.
I don't know if it's supposed to show it but I can see ''No HDR'' in windows as well.
Here, I tried to show the difference. The first one is my PC monitor. The second one is T6R Max. You can see there is no detail whatsoever in the second photo. Darks are so dark. The colors are idk what to say... I tried to tweak the image a bit with the projection's options but it won't help.

I just downloaded an HDR film and put it in a usb. Tried to open it that way directly in the projector's OS. The difference is big. It is way better than what I am getting from my pc. However, I am still not sure If I am getting HDR10 content. I am a bit lost here.
1- How can I see If it is really showing HDR10?
2- Why can't I get HDR from my PC?
Edit - Day 2:
I bought Amazon Fire Sticks 4k Max today. There are good display options in that. Finally, I can see HDR text when I open it at the top left corner. However, the problem with blacks and colors is still there. So this is my conclusion: I think even though the projector supports HDR, its brightness (550 ANSI lumen) is not enough for HDR content. That is why there are no details in blacks and colors are not there. I chose adaptive HDR in the display setting and with a little bit of tweak I can see more now. There is an image quality loss, however.
But I think this is what you get with this price range I guess. If there is a way that I can improve the quality please let me know.
