Ultimate Extractor

I already had this posted in the G1 Themes thread, but some of you might not have seen it. So just to help out anyone who hasn't seen this and might find some use for it, here you go
I got this idea from a thread where someone was asking for a certain icon pack and I suggested to go one by one and grab the icon from each apk.
I then thought to myself that this could all be automated. So here it is:
Ultimate Extractor
HOW TO USE:
1. Download icex.zip
2. Make folder C:\icex
3. Extract files from icex.zip to C:\icex
4. Put the theme in C:\icex (has to have .zip extension)
5. Make sure that the theme is the only zip file in C:\icex
6. Now you have 4 choices:
-> 6a: If you want everything (.pngs, .jpgs, .xmls) run UltimateExtractor.bat
-> 6b: If you want only icons (icon.png or ic_launcher*.png) run IconExtractor.bat
-> 6c: If you want almost every single .png run PngExtractor.bat
-> 6d: If you want to run Ultimate Extractor on .apks and not a whole zip file, run UltimateExtractorApk.bat *NEW*
Thanks to ultra spikey for his theme porter script which I based mines off of and thanks to woelv for the thread that got me to do this.

this doesn't run on the phone it's mainly used by theme devs who want a quick and efficient way of pulling all the images out of apps to edit
yeah.. i do realize it runs on the comp judigin by the .bat extension.. I'm jsut wondering what you run it against?

ah ok i misunderstood your question ... you either run it with a .zip file (such as a theme template NOT a MM) or .apk files

I'd like these as well!
Is there a screen shot I can view? I put in a request (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=806844) for my own set, but the developer is busy creating his own theme.
Calkulin has an Incredible rom out. Check the development thread. It has those same icons. I'm too much of a noob but someone might be able to rip them out of there...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803331
I created the same topic. I guess I missed this one! The colored notification icons would be beast!
If some would let me know where there stored I can pull them and try to make a metamorph file to patch them into any Rom..
Yes, please please do this. I would like them too.
I can't download his Rom. If anyone would like to download it and make a mirror I can get to work on it. Idk why its not letting me download......
i dled it no problem, looks like each notification icon is built into the apps apk, ie the gmail notification icon is located in the gmail.apk
most of them are located in the framework-res.apk.
edit: so i pulled all the ones i saw, i can never seem to MM to work so i dont make the themes but ill post the images if someone wants to make it
i labeled the folders so you know which APK they came from
again this is NOT a theme, it is just the icons in folders

nvm its only your .rar file that keeps downloading as a .bin anyway you can change it to a zip?

Are you referring to the small icons on the top left of the main window of the screen shots of the ROM? Those are from the apk's.
Ok so I made a mm theme for the icons. I will work on the gmail and others once I get home. Just unzip this into your mm theme file and go. Make sure you have a backup because I don't have away to reverse this yet.

It said the theme control file is missing.
That's just a bug in mm. Just click apply theme find the xml file and go.
I also got gmail to work. I will upload shortly. Here is a screen shot too.

Anyone know what device to select in the 'File Upload' tab?
I have been trying to change the black status bar icons to 'G15 Androidian' but everytime i flash the zip thru cwm, nothing changes. The other effects such as fonts and battery icon changes. Just not the status bar icons. I usually select Optimus under the 'Select flashable zip scripting' in 'File Upload' tab. Should we be just leaving it to MTD? I upload the framework and systemUI manually.

i too would also like to know the answer to this ! i have searched and cannot find anything! everytime i flash my cooked theme i always get stuck bootloopin, some one who has got it working for the g2x plz tell me which to choose!!!!
I've used UOT kitchen before on my old G1 and Mytouch4g with no problems. But ya for some reason when i load the system files (systemui.apk/framework.res) it always gives me an error in recovery and won't flash.
I only use Faux's Nexus AOSP rom which was easily customizable on uot with the mt4g and should be the same on the G2X, yet running into problems..
Guess i should try loading the androidian theme next i guess
Lol I just found out about it and went to the website and it worked.. just now.
Yea the kitchen works but did u flash it? What did u put for the scripting? Someone plz tell me! I can't find help anywhere?

[Q] Overscrolling effect.

Does anyone know how to change the overscrolling effect? It would be best if I could have the stock ICS effect.
I'm using Slim ICS - ROM. Until a few Minutes I had the stock ICS overscrolling effect, but (I don't know how) it changed to something like a very ugly orange bar or stripe with a '+' at its center...
The last thing I could remember to flash was the new matr1x kernel...
(Of course it doesn't have to be the stock overscrolling effect if you have a better one )
What you need to do to change the overscroll is go I to root explorer, system file and copy the framework apk. Paste it to your SD card. Connect to PC and pull the file onto your comp. Download apk manager and copy file to the " to be edited folder" extract apk. Color anything you want with paint.net. go back Into tthe script for apk manager and hit "3". Apk rezips. DO NOT SIGN APK. then copy the modded apk to SD. Reverse first couple steps and replace framework apk in the system/framework file. Reboot and you just themed your first apk.... a lot easier than it sounds
.....Clones & Drones.....
PS... DO NOT TOUCH THE FILES THAT END IN. ".9"

If you have the apk manager could you please upload it and send me the link? I only found megaupload links... and i think you know that megaupload is down...
EDIT: I found it... but now I have a much bigger problem: I just realized that many Images are wrong. example: The USB-Debugging image is now the same image as on the notification when a wifi network was found...
Nvrmind...
How did you do that???????/?
