Adobe Flash 10.1 beta SignUps!!
We've waited so long and finally some progress on this. Adobe opened sign ups for Flash 10.1 and Air 2.0.
Flash 10.1 and Air 2.0
You can now sign up to be notified when the first public betas of both Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR 2.0 are available. We just started the private betas and we are really looking forward to getting these technologies into your hands as soon as possible. There are going to be so many interesting things that you will be able to do on Android and there are also going to be many new skills that you will need to learn, especially if you are new to mobile design. One thing that will help you tremendously is to learn more about optimizing content for mobile devices. There are separate sign-up pages for Flash Player 10.1 and Adobe AIR 2.0 so go on over and get registered. Unfortunately I can’t give any information about the specific dates for the betas.

If you go to Adobes flash page via your android browser then click the link at the top which says 'Get flash now' you can see it. Though it could simply be outdated.
Glad I signed up for an Adobe account like 2-3 years ago.

Im signed up also thanks for the info. I been waiting for a better browser. Is this made by mozilla? Any other software out there to test?
Just signed up myself. Hopefully this will prove to be better then Opera.
i signed up and waiting looks good only downside i dont have 3g dame tmobile edge!
signed up this morning and waiting for an invite. will post up first impressions when it is sent.
Signed up a few min ago. . . Seems to me that they are trying to copy safari, also if you look at the video, flash is choppy because its on a kaiser. . . HTC you blew it big time.
Check out this link. Pics of it on a Kaiser.

I wonder how well the server-side caching will actually work. I know similar technology is used by "dial-up" companies, but that only works with text, not multimedia...

I'm signed up too. I just hope this is as good as it seems, if it is it will be just what i was waiting for.

"Copyright 2008 Skyfire Labs, Inc".
Damn it with this U.S.-only crap.. Still no decent browser for me (don't even get me started on Opera)...
I also signed up, no its not by Mozilla, althogh Mozilla is trying to make a mobile version of Firefox, which also looks good.
Looks awesome. Signed up and awaiting trials to start
US Only, For Now
It's not reasonable to expect a new product like this that depends upon a scaled architecture as its user base grows to be launched worldwide. It's been developed in USA, so it will be available here, first. Skyfire clearly state it's bound for other platforms and geographies, as well.
Todd/Indy
not affilliated with Skyfire; not a tester yet and waiting as impatiently as anyone else
Next Week...
Update to skyfire blog is posted at their site. Sounds like it's not far off! Looks like the push is on for Europe/Asia and Symbian OS, too.

Problems with Skyfire
Installed it on my Kaiser.
It starts fine - "Starting Up", "Connecting" , but after 15-20 seconds says "Lost network connection. Please, try again later"
And the only chice i have is to click "EXIT" button.
How to fix this ?
How many people have actually got Skyfire already?
I am wondering how many people already started with the beta. If you got an invite how and when did you get it?. I signed up on the 01/29/08, I have not received anything other than the confirmation email, but I have read that they are backed up. Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Manny

Droidbox, the paid one. I wanted to support it because it still IS a good app
omg do want. do want.
How does that unofficial app hold up?
Droidbox FTW! Before Droidbox I added a Dropbox folder to my FTP site and used andFTP to upload to Dropbox.
I'm a little saddened that 'all most' every tech and android blog has ran this story without mentioning Droidbox. A few have either in the comments or the main article but not nearly enough.
Also in a 'few months' whats up with that? Do they just have enough of the UI finished to make a press release?
Kudos to the developer of Droidbox!
woot cant wait

Adobe putting all their efforts into Android can only be a good thing, I cannot wait to be able to have Adobe Air apps on my phone, it opens up a whole load of new apps avaliable to us.
Actually, I see it as a war of greedy corporate types, both wanting control of what we have access to - for a price. Neither wants open source, neither wants to play nice. They both want to pick our pockets, and are fighting like two huge predators fighting over who gets to eat us.
Hulu has huge pressure to go to a pay structure and DRM, and these guys all want their cut. It's no wonder people are cutting their cable and going back to free tv in droves. Remember the days when advertisement subsidized the cost of content and brought it to us free? Well, those days appear to be numbered.
thank you!
IT’S HERE. AND IT’S FREE.

This makes me really happy because I've played through the beta three times already LOL!
This alleviates my depression about GT5 being post-poned.
After 3 starring the entire demo, I've been waiting weeks for this!
Any idea how much it'll cost?
About time
iPhone version costs £0.59, so I'd expect the same really, amazing value!
oahoooo...finally got the apk
Whoa. Just picked up the apk also. Full version. This is bad. Lolz. I should get the real deal though. Sadly it's not on the market yet. Few more hours.
*twitches feverishly*

Google is your friend. I don't want to get booted for endorsing pirated apks (though this ad-supported version will probably be free anyway...).
What's funny though is that if you have adfree app installed, the (free?) ad-driven version will be the same as the paid version.

Dude, GT5 has been post-poned for years. It's been 'coming soon' for over a year.
Sent from my HTC Desire
It's released on GetJar for some reason... http://www.getjar.com/mobile/43600/angry-birds/
And it's free, I'm confused.
edit:
It's Ad-supported... Hope they come out with a proper full version, seeing ads in-game is annoying.
Free, but ad supported.
Email says an update will let you pay and remove the ads.
Can someone post the apk? Getjar is being lame and wont let me download.

Thanks Rusty. GetJar's site is down... I saw it on Mobilism last night, but was waiting to purchase it today... but seeing as it is free, that was a way to download it legitimately.... but of course mobilism is down this morning.
So again, thanks
Anyone able to install this on CM6? It keeps failing the install for me.
Here you go, I've stuck it on my dropbox: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5757769/AngryBirds_1.3.5.apk
If you want to thank me, use my sig link and sign up to Dropbox too, I get 250Mb more free space
@jimbobalu It worked fine for me on CM6
EDIT: Sorry. My dropbox public shares have been suspended cos of the excessive traffic (I'm guessing this is to blame)
I'm surprised that no one has been talking about the anticipated release date.
Last year, Android Pie DP1 came out March 7th, so I was hoping that Q would have come out yesterday. I'm anxious to try this out.
This might be part of the reason for the delay..

Once it goes live you go to their link and sign up. OTA comes shortly after that. The link will be all over the place, it's very public. It will be all over XDA.
Be aware, if you get in on the beta and decide to go back to P you will get a full data wipe.
