Hi!
Iv'e noticed that the iPhone aint that fast if you compare with some Windows Mobile phones, it just have fancy transitions, like when u click on a button it animates to the other "window". Is there any way I can have these transitions in my Windows Mobile 6.5? Like these : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNCb1IdmJ_0

There is a program that you can download and try it out before you buy it called Wisbar Advance Desktop. Its themeable and I used to use it a lot. It has transitions in it and you can find different wad (theme) files here on XDA.

Also check out this thread for this theme for Wisbar. I had it running on my phone and it is beautiful.

Moved as not theme release.

Hey all,
I really like the embossed title and bottom bars on the windows 2006 mobile interface. Always thought it was a very simple, yet creative step up in design.
I don't like most wisbar skins because they are filled with useless icons, functions, and things I don't use.
Is there a way to get Windows mobile 2005 to look like windows mobile 2006?
Thanks for the help.
Bump.
Anyone?
A wisbar skin?
A installation file?
Nobody's done this yet?
Very simple now. Just get the beta copy of wisbar advance 3 from their forums. The default theme being used in it is crossbow
Hi,
I was wondering...
Is there a way to make windows mobile look like pointUI. I would just love a new interface for the vox because i think the standard windows mobile interface is ugly and i've been using pointui now for a while and i love the browsing and menu styles.
I think it's not possible to do but i'm hoping that its there for the VOX
tnx , cpt.bert

Hi All,
I780 Screen is a little bit small than other PDAs so demand appropaite choice of Pulg ins for today screen - to show more info.
Here is my screen as of now....
Something interesting: Deletion of below bar to add some more space in today scrren. Please post your today screen.
hi may i ask, what did u do to get the news? i wish to have them too.
For news I use SPB insight...
Currnetly I have downloaded relavga so today also changed a lot...I will post that soon...
But where are other I780 Users?? We wanna see how others configured their today screens so please post.
I don't really like busy today screens - so mine is pretty vanilla:
Hi where can dl this pretty vanila? Thanks.
I'm old fashioned.
Off topic: Does anyone of you use any kind of TouchFlo on i780? No 3D cubes or iPhone like apps but just scrolling any system screen using fingers (like the new Opera Mobile 9.5).

It's pretty straight forward:
1) get a HTC home plug-in of your choice - I use the HTC Home Idiamond (you can get the .cab in the hacking and development forum).
2) UITweaker - change the menu bars to black
3) Select the calender and task items in settings.
That's it!

I tried touchflo but couldn't get it to work - I use pocketCM with a black theme and that works well with my current today screen.
Some of the themes work that goes on in the hacking/development forums is amazing but it's just too much hard work for me!
Oh two other MUST-HAVE apps for i780 users -
Slide2unlock - 100X better than using the built in lock and again fits into the black and white theme I'm going for.
S2P - great media player from same developer than works well with s2unlock.
Anyone know how to remap the softkeys - I want the Calendar one to be mapped to opera.

I use
1. Resco file explorer 2008, it's a touchflo scroling application.
2. Ulimate Launch
3. SPB Mobile Shell - with realvga
Fortunately there's an app that works: FTouchSL. But it's not free...

I think the trial version is free with no time limit. There are some excluded features compared to the registered version though I understand.
I use Ultimate launcher with the HTC homescreen plugin. Best solution ever.

This screen reminds me much of the Treo screens. Look over at mytreo.net to see if they have any good ideas on Today screens for WM (they also have screens for their other OS)

HI ALL!
I am now using PointUI and find that it always use up all my ram and make my phone hanged!
So I wonder if there are any Today interface / today plugin with beautiful looking and do not consume so much ram?
SPB mobile shell require ~3mb ram and is beautyfull
Take a look at HomeScreen++
It's memory lite, flexable & easily custumized!

I've tried in before when it is still in verion 2.0
but i think spb skins always provide the same layout...
clock on tops, nevigation buttons at the bottom, etc.
so I wonder if it is still in this case in the verion 3.0?

Can I rearrange the layout myself?
eg move the clock to the top right corner?

3.0 supports skins and is easy to configure, is finger friendly but isn't freeware ;/
Look at this thread
I use throttlelauncher. It uses little RAM but it's quite customizable with different themes for download and use. Each theme has a different UI though.
PS-UI stands for user interface so... UI interface = user interface interface? xD

Yes with most theme rows, especially if you can do XML edits, and here's the main themes thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=350510
I guess WAD is out for you - it's slow and a memory hog I believe.
ThrottleLauncher is alright, but personally I prefer SPB Mobile Shell 3 (not free). The Titanium theme with a rhodium wallpaper looks fantastic!
Of course, prices on such software could fall with the release of the WM Marketplace...
Sorry, double post!
Why does xda-devs always give a message that says I posted twice in 30 seconds, and it's not allowed?
I waited, posted, then realised my previous post went through!

Thx ZoneBlaze,
is thottlelauncher support the the customization of layout?
such as moving the clock to the other position?
Okay, I'm getting bored with SPB mobile shell, so can anyone suggest an alternative? Free is perferred, and I would like it to have a level of integration on par with mobile shell.
Thanks!
http://www.throttlelauncher.com/
it's free
enjoy!
Thanks for the quick reply! I tried ThrottleLauncher with an HTC TouchFLO skin/theme, but found it WAAY too slow on my SCH-i760 Perhaps 10FPS.
EDIT: something like Androkkid would be neat. I tried Androkkid for a period and found it very blocky and not anti-ailised, and wasn't fond of the loading time.
I'll be trying iFonz, but I'm not a big fan of the iTouch/iPhone UI.
EDIT2: Nah, iFonz and Winterface are a bit too hard to change the icons/what they do. What I'm looking for is something free that imitates the Windows Mobile 6.0 for non-touchscreen phones sliding panel <-MyHome. That's what it's called! Trying to find a free MyHome lookalike for WinMo6.1 Professional
Have you checked out Wisbar Advance Desktop? There's a fair amount of members here use it as an SPB MS alternative:
