question on switching theme - Nexus One Themes and Apps

on cyan 5053 i had flavored ice lemon theme and then i wiped everything and flashed 506 but i still have some of the same blue icons from flavored ice. like i said i wiped everything there is to wipe in recovery except my sd car partition before flashing 506. how do get back to the stock icons.

I think Wipe does NOT delete your theme.. it wipes out your settings etc.. Someone can confirm?
Basically, I'm always doing a nandroid before a new theme.

Did you backup your system through CWM recovery before applying it?

If you have a backup made, just restore your CWM backup and try again. Something may have went wrong during the installation. Or you could just wipe data/factory reset, then wipe the cache, the dalvik cache, then try to reflash the ROM again. (Assuming you do NOT have a backup made) Always make a Nandroid backup before flashing a new Rom/Kernel/Radio etc!

[Q] stuck on beats audio screen after arhd ics rom flash

Hi all
I just installed the new ARHD ICS rom from mike1986
All worked fine untill I reinstalled the battery logo (zip file name UOT-3.5-blue)
I wiped battery cache and dalvik cache, installed from sd card and now the phone wont go past the beats audio screen after powering on
Any ideas?
Have I bricked my phone?
Are you 100% sure you installed the correct firmware? I seem to recall that happening with my first ICS rom that I put on. If you used the latest ARHD you need the latest firmware, applicable to your phone if you did not SuperCID.
Double check the battery mod is compatible with the rom - this happened to me once.
To recover, just restore your last backup from recovery.

No bricked implies no power, just a plain paperweight (looks like it can be unbricked). But that's another thread.
Your issue is to just get the ARHD rom on your sd card if you don't have it on already and just reflash the rom without wiping data. But I prefer to wipe the cache and dalvik cache.
OR you can take out your battery, reinsert, and press power and volume down at the same time to access your recovery. Then restore your nandroid back up. You DID do a backup right?
Yes the firmware was correct
The battery logo mod may have not been compatile
Im going to restore to my last backup and try it again
Ok I installed the last backup, went back into reboot and now the phone is just going round in circles
It comes up with the HTC quietly brilliant logo and just powers off and the repeats that move continuously
The reason I reinstalled the battery logo mod was because it was compatible with ARHD 4.1.13 which I had on the phone before. I thought it would be ok with this new version too
That battery mod is not compatible with ARHD 6.5.1. You can see all compatible mods listed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14191947&postcount=2
Is your backup made from ICS or GB? I think You need an older firmware for GB backup.

[Q] Vicious Jelly Bean V3 and V4 hang on Verizon GN

I've tried installing Vicious-TORO-JellyBean-V3-signed and Vicious-TORO-JellyBean-V4-signed on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Both got stuck at the boot screen. I gave them 30 minutes, that didn't help. I wiped the cache and the Dalvik cache, that didn't help. Pulled the battery, no go. Tried the tuna-jb-kernel-019b6.zip kernel, no help. I've tried installing from ROM Manager and directly from recovery.
Is there a trick that I've missed? Are there Jelly Bean ROMs that are know to work on the Verizon GN?

I am running Vicious JB v3 on Faux kernel on VZW GNand have had no issues. I would recommend doing a full wipe, and then reinstalling. Do the full wipe, install Vicious JB v3, and then install the Faux Kernel for JB. I would stay away from Franco's Kernel.
Won't a full wipe destry the backup?
Won't a full wipe destroy the backup? If it still doesn't work I'd be screwed without the backup.
No A full Wipe is going to "Wipe Data/Factory reset"
It doesnt wipe your files, just the system files and your apps etc. So when you flash the rom and start it up, it is just like a new phone you have to sign into google and set everything back up
I also do not know about a V4, I am not sure where you found that at, but I havent seen it released yet.
I'll give that a try
V4 is available in ROM Manager.

Will this battery mod work ?

Hello,
please, will this batt. mod
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672464
work with desire S running ICS RUU ?
If your system files are deodexed, then yes, flash in recovery and wipe cache and dalvik. If not, no.
How to find out whether my files are deodexed. I have installed ics by mirnoks way.
Is that the way with the PG88IMG.zip? Then I'm fairly sure your system is not deodexed.
Yes, that way.
Anyway, i have installed some other mod, but with coloured battery, not black white. It's working, but want white ;]
You could always take a nandroid backup, try flashing the battery mod and if it breaks anything restore the backup.

[Q] TWRP 2.6.6 on Carbon unable to flash Synergy

Title kind of tells the story trying to flash to Synergy-yes md5 passed on the download.I wiped everything twice and then cache and davlik seperately and launched TWRP and when I try to install it just hangs and then eventually prompts me to close the app.
Do I need to flash back to stock and then install a custom ROM?I wipe everything but remain on Carbon of course.
For those running Synergy what recovery were you using-any issues with TWRP.What process worked for you?
Luckily my restore back to Carbon worked no problem.
Thanks
I wipe system internal storage data a the caches. You may also want to try cwm as it might work better. Make sure your download for synergy is for the vzw one.
