If you're anything like me, you're able to appreciate precision...
Such as alignment, things being linear... or perhaps something just fitting on-screen, rather than causing obscure transparent affects on what is (by default) an otherwise beautifully designed, perfectly matched lock screen.
Now, after having said all of that... I'm sure most of you are wondering what I was just rambling about. Well, if you haven't discovered this already... then I suppose I'll elaborate. Once you have applied a lock screen wallpaper, it is then automatically rendered to fit the screen resolution of, "480x800"... which in turn causes your wallpaper quality to typically be compromised if the resolution isn't already EXACTLY that!
Also, you'll noticed that your "curtains" become faded and transparent. Which again, for someone like myself... I do NOT enjoy looking at my wallpapers through "curtains" or "slivers of glass".

Wasn't too much of an issue to throw these together... just figured I would share them with people who might feel the same about the lock screen curtains.
They are very good! And the idea to add black bars on bottom and a top is great, thanks!

Hi Max and all you other skinners out there!
I'd like to request the Sprint clock (in white, not flipping) and a transparent background for the clock (in combination with the weather display) for the HD2. I tried so many things with MaxTTM (not the ultimate layout, which looks great but has way to many features for me *ggg*) but didn't get that working. Anythin I did corrupted the layout.
Maybe there is already a solution for that and I'm to blind to find it If so than please advice guys
Also a great set of black and white icons for the slider would be nice I really don't like the "colorful" stuff...

Tried that before but I didn't like it because of the "flipping" which doesn't look good with transparent background. Numbers look distorted when the numers flip...
Add Disable Clock Flip
For that, there 's a cab named "Touch_X_Homescreen_Flip_clock_OFF" and it works fine for me.

AFAIK, this only disables the clock animation when you return to the home screen, i.e. when the clock goes 1 hour and 2 mins back and then flips to the actual time. The normal flipping of the clock is not disabled by this cab.
Would love a sprint clock as well. Contacted dragonsoft see if he can help as he seems to have done a few nice clocks.

in the 4th post you will find sprint clocks. Only to use with MaxTTM or Max Manila.
cheers, i had seen & played with Max-Manila but wasn't over keen. not a great lover of 3rd party software plus i like to get my hands dirty if you know what i mean.
4x4 or 4 horizontal and 5 vertical would be even nicer but not the opposite way!

1+ same here. All of those existing .cabs change the fonts and although I activate the ClearType (or wathever that is), the fonts don't look good.
Looks fine to me. I've got 5x4 quicklinks and the fonts are smooth, as you'd expect.
Which cab are you using for that? I am using a 4x4 one but it forces the plain black wallpaper.
I would also love to have 4x4 or 4x5 which doesn't need to turn on clear type, because even with clear type on, font's are weird somehow.

As far as I'm aware, that cab doesn't knacker your wallpaper, and I do know that contact images work too.
But, in case you're interested, I made the background (hi-res, on all tabs) with this...

I have to turn on cleartype too, I've tried edit a font size and still makes no difference in the mode9 file.
From what you have statet it looks to be quite bugless but it is again the 5x4.
I want 4x4 or 4x5 by all means (only 4 rows horizontal).
Any idea?
Anyone has an idea or tutorial of some kind how to do what we need? Maybe we could try ourselves.

No luck with the 20 quick links. Fonts is ok. but once i install 20 quick links. My background for all tabs don work anymore.
Cannot be that difficult, when the first cabs was around for the HD2 I saw it everyday but did not save it.
Now it is impossible to find......

I'm not saying there isn't one, but I've been on this forum since it started and I'm pretty sure I've never seen one that's 4x5. Only 4x4 or 5x4.

Thanks for all the useful tips over the past few years, I've finally done something worth giving back to the community.
I noticed the HD2 and diamond skins but there wasn't a skin available the correct resolution for my QVGA Touch2... So I decided to make one using the existing skins as examples. The process was pretty straightforward and took me about an hour playing around to get it right.
I know that there will be some issues so let me tell you what I already know before you come back to me to tell me.
Anti-aliasing is a bit rough around the edges, it looks best on white backgrounds. At any zoom level other than 100% it does not go transparent and you have a white edge (which looks a bit ugly). According to other similar threads this is due to a bug with MM not the skin itself.
Also if you switch the skin into landscape it goes wrong. I am hoping that somebody may have some ideas as to how to get MM to rotate the skin, or be able to set a landscape skin up. I could not find any examples of this.
Also I don't think the start button works, although the button is mapped out.
Enjoy, let me know if you have any ideas about rotating it. I don't have much time to adjust but thought other people may well want the same as I did, so here you are. Feel free to improve on it.

That is the point! But there was not a skin for My Mobile which makes it look like the Touch2 until now. Those screen shots are actually displaying my phones screen, not an emulator or static screenshot.
Have a look at this site: fuzemobility.com/mymobiler-skins-for-htc-hd2-tp2-and-more/ and you should catch on.
Ok, thought that the screen was "automatically" displayed by mymobiler.....
And since I use direct mobile device connection, never had the need for mymobiler .....

are there some kick azz wallpapers out there? everything i see is like exagerated not suiting stuff, i need something classy/ cool with understatement, or nice black texture, no cars or planets or objects, just plain cool and simple or a good theme, not so many colors.. so hard to find something, so far the best: the grey/black texture grid thats built in by default... but there must be something else good, please help me

I use the default gradient with manila as i like a stock manila look to my phone rather than loads of different colours.
If you install the attached cab it will give you the high quality gradient on all tabs.
This is for sense 2.5 if your using sense or manila 2.1 it wont work

maybe if it interests u, i found someting that really looks awesome in my opinion:
take the attached picture and use the awesome (must have) cookie´s home tab, there u can have multiple app screens like on ipod, u can switch to make the app grid invisible, so u can make it pop up and since the grid is invisible it leaves the screen almost blank, look at my attachments...

if you want to use the same icons as large previews as well, please send 256x256.

Hi redzepplun, i think there was misunderstanding I did not mean these slider icons, i meant 'way out there' ones, which I tried and they did not look good. they are quite small. But the ones you are referring on this thread (made by 12aon) are really nice and would fit quite well.

Hi mate I've attached the icons, they're all 512 x 512 I hope this is ok as that's the size they came off the website as. That's perfect to use the same as the large previews too. I hope they look as good as I think they will. Thanks
