Best to do for now is to install "Startup Auditor" or similar, and prevent it from starting/running during phone use.

It is memory eater and useless. Delete after rooted

[Q] Background running services and data - any way to control these evil programs?

I don't know if out G2x can get chocked on the many programs that one can be running today. But I am assuming that managing RAM is always a good idea.
Any software that can tell me about RAM usage (in details) so I can chose to disable some programs or chose not to use these?
I see that facebook alone can take like 50MB of RAM. What???
But maybe I am mistaken about all of these and in today's world there is no need to keep these in check?
Thanks
If your rooted you can use droidwall to control what apps use data you can use startup pro to stop certain apps to startup on boot.

Yes, there is. Uninstall them. Or learn how Android works, and what's the difference between apps and services, and don't log in to services that are running constantly by design. And stop using task manager.
From Nexus One forum:

Please read the thread I've pointed you to.
Apps that have services - need those services. How exactly do you expect Skype to react to incoming calls, if it's not running? And if you don't want it running for some reason - log out of it.
If you see something and don't know why it's this way - don't touch it until you know.
Yeah i get what u mean , let say like this app skyri, how would u know if it use services or not????

Read the app description.
If it is something that needs to be running constantly - like wallpaper, messenger, something that syncs with internet, widget with changing data, or anything like it - then it needs.
If it doesn't - then it doesn't.
If you think it doesn't and it does - either leave it as is or uninstall.
Cool i get it thanks for the help

If you are rooted you can get LBE from google play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lbe.security.lite&feature=search_result#?t=W10. You can pick and choose which apps can access data, GPS and almost all permissions you want for each single app seperately. Even allows you to monitor all data usage and much more. Play around with it. Best part is....IT'S FREE!

[Q] Similar programs for Windows

Hi there, I was wondering if there are programs out there like greenify or Go Battery Saver for Windows, I'd love to install them in my Laptop.
I ask this here because there is no other section for this answer and it was not in the search result. Thanks
You can disable processes using the task manager or msconfig.

But I mean something like those programs, because none of windows options come with that, I already try them. TuneUp utility has a similar freeze option but it doesn't really cover everything.
