i have a problem with encoding while sending emails from mobile.
Everytime i have to change encoding to Unicode before send message by tapping Menu->Message Options->Language.
Is there any possibility to make UTF8 as default charset for all email messages ?

I want to increase sms unicode text character from 80 to 160 or more. How can I do that. Can anyone help me in providing information about SMS Gateway or any software which can increase characters.
Or can I use PDA as SMS gateway.
Pls help.
I recently upgraded to WM6 TNT 4.0. When I used the cingular wm5 rom, I was able to send sms to email addresses. It even gave me the option as I spelled out the recipient. Using the new wm6, it no longer allows to send sms to email addresses. It gives me an error saying I cannot use SMS to send email addresses or something like that. Is there a registry hack to allow me to send SMS to email addresses?
Thanks
You still can send emails. Send a text to 36245 as the address. The first line of the message put the email address, then next line your message.
try it. I had the same problem with upgrading to WM6 from the Cingular ROM.

it depends on which service provider you have...for t-mobile, you send to "500" and start the body of the message with the e-mail address, followed by a space, then your message...usually a 160 char total limit (including e-mail address)
It is possible to deactivate SMS threading ? (like asi chat or any messenger?)
For example:
anybody sending messages for me from Internet (number +999) and anyone other sending messages from internet too... and everything is as chat under the one number 999
and its more comfortable I thing...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Setting s\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
DWORD
value set to 1.
You have to create the OEM folder yourself but apart from that it seems to work okay.
In an earlier version (6.0, 5.?) I was able to see different text formatting when sending HTML email to MMS on my phone. With 6.1, I can't.
For example:
When I'd send an email
to my phone using MMS
the
text would display
just like
I formatted
it in the HTML email.
The text would look just like I does in this example.
Now, it does not. Anyone know what gives? Does it have something to do with the combined SMS and MMS? Threading vs. Non-threading, maybe?
I'm using native email app on Mate 8 for my business email. It is sending all emails as plain text so the text is displayed in Courier font on PC without any formatting. This is pretty bad for business mails. Is there any way to set default composing method to HTML?
The native app doesn't support composing in HTML formatting as far as I'm aware. You could try the likes of AquaMail which I believe supports formatting of the text
Update: AquaMail uses RTF, not HTML. So you should at least get some degree of formatting but RTF does have its pitfalls. One common issue I've experienced before when sending in RTF to Apple Mac Mail clients is that attachments seem to appear as a winmail.dat files instead of the actual attachment

Click to collapse
There are some other apps out there which support html signatures like cloud magic email client but I was wondering if it can be done on native app. Thank you very much for you opinion and comment.
