I have only looked at the pictures, I like it alot but is there a way you can make a raw file of it so i can edit it to have the lockscreen of my choice? or is there a way to still do that?
Also you should add Better keyboard to it and use DEEP BLUE theme it would go perfect with it. I have the .apks if you would like to do this.

use something like 7zip. download the zip file. open up file with 7zip. /system has the app files
/framework has the core sytem files. ull mainly work with htcresources.apk and framwork res. apk or something like that. click on the apk u want to look into. find the res file in there and copy it to desktop or a file on computer. open that res file up to see thumbnails of file. do ur editing. be careful with .9 files(stretchable files). they r tricky. read up on how to edit those. once ur done doing edits...either drag and drop or compy files back to the zip/res file that is open in 7zip. close down 7zip.
download fresh prekitchen select tools then sign zip. choose the zip file u edited. rename it then create file. in order to do this u have to down load JDK and JRE (java development kit and java runtime enviroment). google the two or look in some of the stickys to find the website to download. install those two files then u should be able to sign the zip and that makes it able to be flashed through recovery. I would download and install both files. some people will tell u by installing JDK that JRE is automatically installed but it wasnt for me and whats it gonna hurt.
good luck.

[REQ] Droid 2 Lockscreen

Big Thanks to TouchPro and BlazedOne for attempting this!!
Has anyone tried getting the droid 2 lockscreen images onto the incredible (with vanilla lock obviously)? is it just as easy as swapping files in the droid 2 framework? and if it is does anyone have the framework-res.apk from the droid 2?
so looking in teh Droid 2 Framework-res.apk i see 2 sets of lockscreen icons first set is stock vanilla (same as droid x) second is the ones we see in image below, They have a diff naming scheme for the Droid 2 ones, so i assume it will take some xml or jar editing to make this work. (a little over my head).
edit 2: upon further investigaion i now see theres a bunch of new xml files in the droid 2 framework-res.apk that inclue things like zz_moto_keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml
i have attached the Droid 2 STOCK framework-res file.... that i pulled from the dump from LegionTHEFecalExcretion D2 sys dump located HERE for those who want to have a look
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps!
Update.... created a video of the droid 2 lockscreen so you can see how it works

Easy enough; just flash the vanilla 2.2 lock screen and skin it using images from the Droid 2's framework-res.apk.

Your using framework that has been modded, so you need to make a copy of the pngs you want from the droid2 framework. Then rename the pngs to the pngs that your framework is using for the lockscreen. For the droid2 lockscreen to look real complete you should make new pngs that replace the answer call/end call pngs, etc...
thanks.
I appreciate your willing to help me, Touchpro247. Shows a lot about your character. I started doing the morph and once I started I HAD to finish, You probably know something about that, haha.

[ICONS] TallMin By Lekky

Firstly let me make clear that I have taken inspiration from SimpText by UltraLinx. I loved the idea he had created, very simple and minimalistic, however on my Desire the icons were just too small to be useful for me. Very kindly, UltraLinx also provided the PSD file he based his icons on. From this I amended the colours, the font, the size, as well as some more font options.
The end result is as follows:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can create more to your liking if requested
Currently there are 139 icons in 10 different colours below:
Black
Bright Red
Dark Red
Green
Light Blue
Orange
Pastel Blue
Pink
White
Yellow

I then thought I was misunderstanding and tried the nex step getting into creating a custom shortcut. Not able to find a text function.

After downloading you're supposed to extract the zip..doing so gives you a folder with all the icons in it. You need the program 7zip or any program to extract zip files then you could extract on your computer & put the folder on the sd card. OR you could download astro or some type of file manager from the market & put the zip on your sd card & you can just go into it on the file manager & move the folder inside the zip to your sd card so the folder will be available in your gallery. Hope that helps

You have to unzip it first i.e. extract. All the icons are all bundled up and wrapped in a case. You must take them out of the case first, then you can use them. on your computer, just right click the zip file and there should be an option to extract to. Choose a destination (like your sd card) and extract them. Then once they are on your sd card extracted, on your phone follow the steps from there.

[GUIDE + TOOL] TO MOD YOUR OWN LOCKRING - NO EXPERIENCE OR CODE NEEDED (noobproof)

I have spent 1 and a half days creating, coding and running batch files in command prompt to ensure this will work for anyone AND ENSURE IT IS NOOBPROOF FOR EVERYONE.
UPDATE: V2 below, see below for details on changes.
The Lockring kit below is Unique to me and there isnt anything like it out there.
Here is my detailed guide to Modding your own lockscreen. LockRing kit i created is attached below and is COMPATIBLE WITH ANY SENSE 3 ROM OR Sense 3 THEME . Also Works for any Sense 3 Device, Sensation & Evo3D
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
THERE IS VERY LITTLE WORK and NO CODING INVOLVED FOR YOU. ALL YOU DO IS
You put your ROM zip in the place ROM Folder - No need to rename
Place your lockring in lockring folder - No need to rename, just make sure its a PNG file not JPG
then collect the finished file in collect recovery zip folder.
See the video guide in post 2 for how to extract lockring and how to use a new lockring
Batch files in the kit will do all the work for you.
Requirements
-Java (Java Runtime Environment) - You need this otherwise your lockring APK will not be signed and prevent installation in recovery.
-271 x 270 Lockring in PNG File Format - Easiest way to get a lockring is to google a PNG image of what you want as. e.g search for Assassins Creed PNG. Quite alot of PNGs come with a transparent background which is what u need.
1st TIME SET UP
Create a New Folder in C:\ called "Lock_Ring_Kit"
Open the lock ring kit zip file and copy all the files and folders into the folder you just created.
Guide to extract a lockring
To extract a theme and/or lockring from another ROM
IF you have seen A lockring on EVO 3d FORUM
IF you have a really cool ROM or theme and you want to take the lockscreen ring out of it.
STEP 1. Place Your ROM or THEME you want to take lockscreen from Place_ROM_ZIP_HERE
STEP 2. Click 1. Extract APKs_FROM_ROM.bat. This will automatically run 2._decode_from_APK
Step 3. Click 3. Extract lockrings (OPTIONAL).bat.
This will put lockrings from the Rom or theme into the extract_lockscreen folder. you can now use this lockring.
And the rest of the files will be placed in Mod_files_here Folder (more about this below)
Guide to mod your own LockRing
STEP 1. Delete any existing files in Place_ROM_ZIP_HERE and Place Your ROM or THEME in the folder. This will be used as a base.
STEP 2. Click 1. Extract APKs_FROM_ROM.bat. .
Once the APKs have been extracted This will automatically run 2._decode_from_APK
*If you have the apks you want to use as a base then just place them in the Place_APKs_FILE_here Folder and click Decode from APK *
STEP 3. Get your Lockring you want and put it in the Place_Lockring_here folder. Make sure your lockscreen image is flipped vertically(mirror upside down image). e.g
Sense uses upside down lockrings to display them right side up. use the 3.0.1 Flip Lockring with FSResizer.exe to flip it upside down if it isnt already.
STEP 4. Click 3.1 Replace Lockrings.bat. This is to replace the existing lockrings with your lockring
Step 5. Click 4. Encode and create recovery zip.bat.
This will Re-encode your lock ring into the APKs, sign them then produce a signed zip file you can flash in recovery
Step 6. Flash your File in clockwork and enjoy.
Additional Features
Mod_Files_Here Folder you can go into this folder and into the default folder or other skins In this folder you can replace the navigation bar in Sense homescreen, also background for widgets and clock numbers etc. care should be taken u replace pngs with the another of the same dimensions.
Backup and Restore allows u to back up 4 different lock rings + Fusion files and restore them anytime so u can work on different ones at different times,
FS resize will allow u to resize your lock ring to 271x270 and also flip it upside down if it isnt upside down. Make sure you flip not rotate!
Download Lock_Ring_Kit v2 or click the attachment below
Replace Lockrings.bat Bug Fixed
BUG FIXED in v2 -->WHEN DRAGGING AN APP TO THE LOCK RING IT WOULD SHOW THE PREVIOUS RING!
Added option to rename lockring zip to whatever you want before it is put in collect here folder
If you get system could not find file error on some occasions, its normal, as i have either asked for it to delete something but the files already deleted
just make sure u follow the process.

Then I'll
have this uploaded later. Just load your ROM. Put the lockscreen in the folder

Nicely done! Also not my style but good to know this is here!
I currently have magiclocker installed as a replacement lockscreen because of the no caller ID on the lockscreen issue.

Man... i wish i was as good as you are... ..
i don't know what's the taste of people...really hard to guess... I spent atleast 5 hours to look for icons on web and resize and incorporate them coz i was totally new to theming stuff...
well i m it out of it for now due to lack of positive feedback ....
atleast it will open doors for others who want to try themselves...
Will upload source files and method of how to do it so that people can do that themselves...

I do appreciate the work that you have done so far.
Taste is different on each person.
Neutral ones are always nice for a lot of people.
A method would be nice so that some people can make that special ones.
Can't wait to start on it
not as good as yours but I tried

How come everytime i put the framework file in te framework folder my phone restarts and then get stuck at the rom logo.
I then have to flash my rom again to get my phone started.
I did everything you said on the how to.
Maybe you know the anwser.

i hope you are not using framework.res.spk file from some other ROM.. Extract it from the ROM you are running... incompatibility issues can cause it
Secondly, makes sure it's png file format... find the files in my sample zip inside your framework file with same name... Use them as your base and edit them... Don't resize any png file and save uncompressed.. Should work easily...

I just had the same. I thought I had previously had it working with a 4.0.3 based ROM but maybe not ...... re-flashing the ROM now
And don't forget to set permissions correctly...

[Mod] Themed Dialers

Nothing fancy. Just some simple colored dialers. These will work on deodexed and odexed roms. Made from an OE2 SecContacts apk but might work on OC3 as well. If on an odexed rom, after flashing, you will need to go to system/priv-app/SecContacts_L_Phone_FLAGSHIP_USA.apk/arm folder and delete the two odex files. Make a backup first. This is a work in progress.
If you are running a custom theme but want to use one of these dialers you will need to remove the phone, contacts, and common folders for that theme from the root folder data/app and reboot. I recommend copy/moving them to your SD card in case you decide to use them later. Flash these via Flashfire.

Hello Tulsadiver
I'm still new to the Mod scene. Would you tell me exactly where you can change in the APK file the color values. I've already tinkered together a Theme by my preference and would like to customize my Dialpad yet for me.
Would be really nice of you if you could pass on your knowledge to me.

I didn't find my notes but this is what I did. I took the colors.xml from the stock SecContacts_L_Phone_FLAGSHIP_USA.apk and made notes as to what all i changed to get my red dialer. Lots of these are kind of intuitive. Here is a list of the hex color codes I used.
FFEE0000. RED
FF000000. BLACK
FFFFFFFF. WHITE
These are all the colors I used for my red dialer. Here is the color.xml with my notes. There are several. I hope this helps you out. Feel free to ask any specific questions that might come up. I had to change it to a text file in order to get it to load on xda.
First, many thanks for your efforts. I'll look at me once and if I have any questions I would be in touch with you again.
Great big thanks to you
Hello,are you online?

Sorry, just saw your question. ff009fff
Thank you very much. Have it now hinbekommen almost everything on issues. Few things I still need in the SecContacts_L.apk
As always I'm a big fan of your work. I downloaded and applied the blue and black dialer and love the way it looks. The only problem is when I type a name in the dialer, I can't see the full name of options provided because it's all black, if you get what I mean. Would you be able to fix that? Here is an example: https://drive.google.com/a/bernardltd.com/file/d/0B3fIceeoMIn8UkZ4RkhOb1hjTGc/view?usp=docslist_api

The txt file you posted, are those colors all located in one XML or did you place them all in one xml for simplification? When I decompile app I find some colors in one xml and some in different xmls. I'm on aoe2 based rom on Verizon. Thank you in advanced

User error on my part. I was in res/color. Thank you
So I'm just messing around by changing only a few colors to get my feet wet. I'm not using any theme besides default. Upon making changes and copying res folder back to original apk and deleting dalvick cache the app will still FC.
Should i still remove phone,contacts, and common folders?

I don't delete dalvick cache. How are you decompiling/recompiling? Are you signing it?

Using apktool and no I'm not signing it. Should I be? I did notice that after building apk it's res folder is missing folders that are in original apk res folder.

Yes, I believe this apk has to be signed.
I'm not sure about the coping you were referring to earlier. After decompiling the apk, open the xml's you want to edit, edit in notepad++, and save. Recompile, then sign.
Xml's have to be recompiled after editing.

Ok, thank you very much. How do you know when an app should be signed. Until now every edit I've done had been smali edits and after compiling I'd just copy the classes.dex file from new app to orig and then push apk back to phone.

Framework-res and SystemUI are different because they are system apk's. I had to sign the dialer apk to get it to work.
