Registry Editor? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

saw a registry editor in the market for 2 bucks. Is there a free one that's recommended? The one I saw in the market was developed by ISS. Has anyone used it and has a review?
Thanks

If you're looking for a handheld registry editor, then I strongly advise you to invest in ALL of the Resco products... one of which is a mobile registry editor. OR, you could simply download a bit of FREEWARE on your desktop PC, such as... CERegEditor -- that's my personal favorite. Memory Maid is also an excellent piece of mobile software.

Which Reg. Editor to use?

Hello all,
currently I'm using PHM Registry Editor Version 0.70 (seems to be the most current). I am curious to know which reg. editors you are using and why? IS there a better reg. editor than the PHM offering? Looking forward to your responses.
Regards,
idyllic
i use resco regeditor.. just because it has better interface..
PapaDocta, thank you for your response! Apparently you're the only person here that uses a reg. editor Regards, Idyllic
lool maybe and you are welcome
I use Resco also. It's not free, but IMO it's worth the price.
Total commander
Task Manager also has a regeditor that is interesting in that you can associate REG files with it for doubleclick merge. I don't use it though since I have experienced strange behavior with large custom REG files.
All,
Thank you for your responses! The reason I had asked the reg. question stems from some frustration getting reg. changes to stick between soft resets using the PHM editor. Perseverence paid off, but I thought there had to be an easier way, hence the reg. question. I did try the RESCO editor and found it quite useful, but the delta between cost and quirkiness has kept me with the PHM version. If I get deeper into "tweaking" my 750 I'll prolly re-enlist the RESCO offering.

idyllic

I with you. PHM works fine for any registry edits I need to make and it's free.
+1 for Total Commander

It has probably more to do with your own findings
There are multipe freeware registry editors that are more than capable for your purpose.. ..TotalCommander and TaskManager (mentioned in previous posts) are very good programs!
OK, so the final choice came down to ease of use and I've settled on the PHM version. However, I've found task commander to be quite useful although I think its reg. editor is harder to use (IMHO). Between Task Commander and PHM Regedit I'm now very happy (boy am I easily amused )

Do you mean TotalCommander or TaskManager?

Hi
If you want to edit your registry from your PC (windows based), you can try ceregeditor : http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/
I must say it is quite nice app And is free
Ya know I looked at ceregeditor, but since I use MAC for everything (except gaming) it wasn't going to work for me. I suppose I could have run it in a virtual machine, but that has its draw-backs too. I'm glad it works for you!

Calculator

Can anyone reccommend a good free scientific calculator for windows mobile?
Thanks
Regards,
Neil
Hi Neil,
I use this one and it's been perfect:

Hope it helps,
D.
Any chance you could post the cab file here as the link to the file doesn;t seem to be allowing me to download it or cannot find the file.
Thanks
Regards,
Neil
If you dont mind paying, HiCalc is the best calculator i have ever used. It even draws out the calculation like you would see it in a book or on paper. It does everything.
Oops, sorry.
Just google'd Calc98:
You could try:

I confirm. HiCalc is an incredible piece of software, but it isn't free
HiCalc crashes when you try to quit the application on the Touch Pro. Emailed them and no support, making me regret buying this thing.
This is the one I use for several years now, and I've seen nothing to substitute it with.
It isn't for free though............

Works like a charm on my Touchpro

Good Freeware Registry Editor?

Can anyone recommend a good free registry editor to a noobie for the Leo please?
I want to get tinkering... finally ... and I'm broke.
Thanks for your help in advance
Total Commander ?
Few in one, including reg editor, and for free.
http://tcce.s3.amazonaws.com/ce3/tcmdpocketarm.cab
and languages - http://www.ghisler.com/celang.htm
Two option for me:
On device = FDC (dot freds) task manager because you can jump between hlkm and same key in HKCU easily (as well as use it as a full featured task man)
but I prefer to use Mdsoft.pl Ceregeditor from desktop Pc through activesync/WMDC it's so simple and effective that the others are pointless.
http://ceregeditor.mdsoft.pl/index.php?lang=en
http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm
CeRegEditor via activesync. i guess it's the easier and the best of free ones.
Thanks all!!
PHM RegEdit it good too. Nice and simple.

HD" Registry editor on Desktop PC

Hi everyone,
Is there a registry ediitor out there that can be used from my PC to edit the HD2 registry?
I've just reflashed my HD2 and tried restoring the registry but it wouldn't load, so have quite a few changes l'd like to do.
Thanks.
Owen.
Soti Pocket Controller allows this and a whole lot more. It's how I edit my Leo registry and is by far the best way. Unfortunately, it's commercial but has a demo for you to try.
http://www.soti.net/default.asp?Cmd=Products&SubCmd=PCPro
Thank you, l'll try it and see what it has to offer.
Owen.
i use this one, works great

Just used this one to import Co0kie's Home Tab registry fix, works great, very handy software to have around.
