USB Data Cables - Nexus One Accessories

My OEM data cable was stolen or went missing while at work last week. I was tired of having to keep track of one data cable between work and home. So I went and bought 3 for each area I like to charge/data sync my phone (office, bedroom, and work office).
I found a US seller on eBay that shipped 3 data cables for the HD2/Nexus One for around 10 bucks. Upon getting them, I put one to my Home PC, one to my alarm clock in my bedroom and when I got to work, one in my work PC.
The data cable for my work PC had a error message saying

Once I got home I tried it out on my PC and same thing. I brought all 3 cables to work today and now 2 out of 3 have failed.
I emailed the seller and he/she would send out replacements which is awesome but... I'm worried.
I've been using these work PC's for over 3 years and they worked fine for data/charging on PSP, iPod, MotoRazr, MotoRizr, G1 and N1. Up until now, I haven't had a single problem.
So would it be they are cheap cables ($3 a peice) is it my N1 or are the work PC's both experiencing motherboard failures? Do are N1 require a certain data cable?

extremely unlikely that all of a sudden, multiple PCs are having hardware issues. those cables must be bad.

Cables seem bad...and expensive. I ordered 3 of these and they worked fine.

IT ALLOWS YOU TO CHARGE VIA USB! It should, of course, be noted that it will probably not charge as fast as it would with the OEM charger or any 2 amp charger. But it does work. It didn't take long to get it (they ship from Hong Kong) and the price is worth it. I have also used it with my Sharper Image portable power pack with success. May have to get myself another one as a backup.
I bought the same one...
Also bought the SD/USB adapter and pickup a original galaxy tab dock for gen 1 model for a fiver down the market,
The dock is a tight fit but I dremeled a slit down the side so it fits much better....
MUST HAVE it too
Sent from my Galaxy Note with DarkyROM 3.3
I have one of those too, but is too tight of a fit for me to dare use it. That's not necessarily representative for other units though, as these chinese accessories don't exactly match up from batch to batch
After some more use I've discovered that while it will let me charge via usb it will not actually recognized that it's connected to a computer. But it was still worth not to carry that big block around with me.

Hi guys, I got a Nokia Qi charger for Christmas. It was bought at the Verizon store.
When I put the phone on it, case or not, it constantly connects, disconnects, connects.... and so on. It works fine with my mom's DNA.
Just wanted to let you guys know to not buy it. It is Nokia model DT-900.
Also, is anoyone else having this problem?
Thanks!

Charger out of pad:
I got one from AT&T and found that if you place your N4 so that about 1/4 of an inch of the charging pad shows at the bottom, it will not connect/disconnect. See this video:

Problem I had was that it charged too slow, so I wound up returning it and getting the LG charger.
Yes the Nokia chargers have been reported already for the cycling issue. The charging will work, but will cycle like you said. And will charge slower than the LG or Energizer chargers out there.
Here's the thread. Suprised the thread didn't pop up when you were putting this thread up.

same problem
Hello. I have exactly the same problem for a few days. I tried different cables and chargers. I tried to reset the phone. the problem is still here. I thought the problem came from the battery but now that I see your post I think it could be a software bug ... or can be a planned obsolescence :-/
if you find a solution I'm waiting ...

Gear 2 SM-R380 input pin labels

Hello, I have a Gear 2 R380 and have suffered many of the usual and expected problems. The exposed pins on the watch have corroded and failed, the charging cradle failed and refused to stay connected because the clip broke early on and now I have lost the cradle.
I am looking for information that will make it possible for me to make my own charging and communication solution via USB. I have included a picture of the circuit board in a Galaxy Gear charging cradle and if I can get the same for my gear 2 I would be very grateful!

I am NOT interested in buying another charging cradle that will just break AGAIN and frustrate me by not staying connected to the watch while charging.
I'm also NOT interested in buying a replacement contact board to replace the corroded pads on the watch as that will also just be good money down the drain.
I can solder, 3D print, make from scratch everything I'll need once I have the information on the pins. I also enjoy doing this and will are any solution I come up with.
I have tried searching in the the XDA forums and online ave no found the definitive answer I am looking for. There are threads where asked a similar question to mine but the answers are not often not pertaining to the R380 charging cradle, pads on the watch or the associated pads inside the watch.
If you are worried about me damaging my watch, this is a moot point as I cannot use the watch now anyway. I would really like to start using the watch again, without all the usual frustrations.
TIA
Ryan

GT-P3113 - Data Cable - Pinout/Wiring Diagram?

I have P3113 - Tab 7.0 Wifi/IR blaster. The cable that came with it (ebay) does not seem to support USB data connections. charges just fine. I bought another wire online (this was years ago) to no avail, still no data connection.
In comparing to the image here: https://pinoutguide.com/visual/gen/samsung_galaxy_tab.jpg (with pins being numbered 1 on the right and 30 on the left, I have pins:
3USB_DP_CON I/OUSB Data +4USB_DM_CON I/OUSB Data -
7V_BUS_1 P 8V_BUS_1 P
15Gnd P 16Gnd P
30Gnd P
Which seems like it should (?) work for data transfer with a computer. (make a lot more sense than the inverse)
I've looked around and have seen a lot of pintouts to modify things to support audio or whatever else, but does anyone know if the pinout I have is valid for USB data transfer? Is there something I can do to get the data connection working? Or do need to play some roulette with cable buying? (Any recommendations?)
I've popped the casing off the plug and it seems like wiring there should be mapped correctly, though it does look like it's cheap for sure, but there's no resistors or anything, wasn't sure if there needs to be for "standard" data usage.
Any thoughts would be great. I'm not looking to do much more as to hardware hacking right now, just getting it rooted and then more or less a simple controller.
