Hi, My HD2 Crashes whenever Network Key on My Home Network is changed. I have to totally depend on LUCK to get it working again. Unless I don't soft reset it like 5-6 times, It (HD2) wouldn't respond properly.
Ne solution to Fix this...??

I notice a weird thing abt the GPS on my htc touch pro:
The internal GPS only works only ONE time on each start up. For example, google can detect and use the internal GPS unit automatically and correctly after a fresh soft reset. HOWEVER, if i close the google map and start it again. The GPS wont work and Googlemap says "Seeking GPS satellites (0)" forever and only soft reset can solve the problem.
I've hard reset a couple times but this symptom persists. Can anybody help??
I can confirm the following settings:
1. Location setting is set to turn on
2. All GPS settings are factory reset and set to default (managed by windows)
many thanks
My HD7 worked without issue from the beginning of the year til around a month ago.
All of a sudden, my WiFi became extremely unreliable, sometimes taking an overly long time to recognise or connect to an obvious access point, sometimes finding none at all.
After I do manage to connect wirelessly, I see no speed increase in data transfer to suggest that the phone is even using the wireless link. Web pages sometimes load slower than over 3G. I had read that HD7s have trouble using certain WiFi protocols and adjusted accordingly, but the workaround was to no avail.
Additionally, once WiFi has been selected, I cannot switch it off. I am 'locked out' of the WiFi settings page. When I tap it in the menu it responds as if I've nudged it but it cannot load. The only solution is to remove the battery. On occasion, this stuck WiFi has also caused the capacitive buttons, camera and power switch to become inactive. Curiously, touch screen function seems unaffected.
I thought maybe this issue was tied to corrupt settings with my hub, but changing SSID / WEP key etc etc on my router hasn't fixed the problem, and connection to other open WiFi signals jam the phone just as badly.
I upgraded to Mango in the hope that a fresh OS update may 'rejig' my wireless settings into working, but again, no joy.
Anyone experienced anything similar? My final options seem to be factory reset the handset to see if that solves the issue, or return the handset to O2. (Both involve losing all my data, game saves, application data AND the recently delisted SW: Battle for Hoth permanently.)
Anyone got any other thoughts?
*EDIT* After a bit more research, I found that even when the phone has connected to a WiFi source, by turning Operator Data Service off, you can see that the WiFi service is in fact not doing anything.
I braved a factory reset, managed to whack WiFi on no problem, browser ran at appropriate speed, then everything crashed as per usual, I couldn't connect to the marketplace and had to pull the battery in order to use any of the capacitive buttons. I guess it was a hardware issue individual to my phone after all.
Guess I'll give O2 a ring sometime soon to sort a replacement. Not looking forward to losing all my game progress though it has to be said.
bro i m having the same exact problem havent find any solution yet i even tried to copy and replace the wifi files from another clean htc hd7 but useless when i upgraded to 7740 the wifi worked perfectly for 1 night only then at the morning it stopped working, everything else works great. my theory says that its not a hardware problem cz i used internet sharing which uses the wifi adapter (if i m right) so its a software I GUESS

I had the same problem as well, couldn't connect, got to the point where even the power button stopped responding. Hard resets would only help for a short time and enabling WIFI would never connect right and eventually get me back to the same problem. I then got a replacement device, but it's not much better, I still can't connect to any WIFI, but at least it's not freezing up on me. My solution thus far has been just to avoid turning on WIFI if at all possible, but it's far from a perfect workaround. I'm guessing it's the HTC WIFI driver that's got issues.
i got similar problem.. send phone to service problem was "circut board"
replaced working fine...
when i was using wifi my phone was freezing some menus stop working and i have to remove battery
Hello,
Since I changed my wifi key from WEP to WPA 2 (it's safer), I have some problems with my wifi connection and I hope you can help me
First, I can't use widgets to turn on wifi (I tried a lot of widgets but none works). The only way to activate it is to use the button from the status bar.
Other problem : When I turn it on, I lose connection 2 or 3 mins after.
I tried a lot of things : hard reset, wipe, others ROMs, ...
It didn't help
I didn't have these problems when I used WEP but WEP isn't really safe.
What can I do to solve them ?
I use Kyrillos but I don't think that these problems come from the ROM.
Sorry for my bad english, it's not my mother tongue
Thanks.
Hello,
My note 10.1 keeps disconnecting and then after some seconds connecting all the time. I've already tried a static i.p adress and the google DNS. At home I created a virtual hotspot with Virtual Router (win 7). Sometimes it workes for about 30 minutes but then it disconnects all minutes. It's driving me crazy But also at my college Wifi it happens. Does sb have suggestions how to fix it? Does exist a service mode like in the s3 where you can disable the power safe mode? Perhaps it would help also on the note.

hello, I had the same problem and after many test I decided to send hit to Samsung.
I'm still waiting.
However, if you type on the phone keypad * # 0011 # to access a menu where you can disable wifi energy saving.
In this way, my device was better but sometimes ... the same problem .
But in this way the screen never goes standbay.
Hey thanks for the answer.
I now reseted the device to factory mode and first it seemed to work a bit better and so I think it's a software problem and not caused by hardware. But I'm not sure.
It got worst again - i tried also putting the standby settings for wifi to never but it didn't help. It is perhaps anyway a hardware problem, it's so frustrating - even my lg p990 doesn't have these problems...
I had the same problem, did everything you did to try repairing it but nothing worked, luckly I exchaged it for a new one. Its probly a bug in the software... my new one is working perfectly now but I fell your pain... it was so annoying

Good day to you, I have a Huawei 4G router model E5373. The thing is that when I try to log into the device's settings, it won't accept my credentials even though I'm sure they're right. Therefore, I tried to reset. I tried to press the reset button 15,20,30, and even 60+ seconds. The lights on the router keep flashing indefinitely and nothing Is happening, the router is not turning off automatically as it is supposed to and I have to turn it off by hand. The router won't reset, the SSID is still the same with the same WiFi key with no return to the default settings. Am I missing something here?
The router is working properly, I can access the internet and everything. However, I can't hard reset so I can access settings and change the WiFi key and the SSID. I hope this is not off the topic of the site. I would appreciate some help.
