Just been reading that the MW600 works on the Nexus One, but not sure about the Desire ?
Also, is it possible to get the song info displayed using either the built in media player, or a third party one ?
MW600 works on my desire fine for calls, i have not tried music to be displayed
Thanks. Does the music player work fine with it also (excluding display) ?
Please report if music is stuttering. I prefer to use bluetooth headsets for music, but if the A2DP stuttering issues are not fixed yet, I am staying away from them.
Can anyone confirm that the headset shows the songtitle on the Desire?
thanks
MW600 works fine as a music player and no stutters as such but i only listen for about 40mins each day. Still having a few issues with song information and odd controls using third party player.
Which third party player shows song information ?
@A|ex : "odd controls using third party player"
What do you mean by that ?
Could you do this functions : next/previous song, play/plause, volume with the mw600 ?

I have a (pre-release) MW-600. I can confirm the songtitles are NOT displayed with any of the pre-installed players. Play, pause, next, prev, ffwd frev do work perfectly and the audio quality is very acceptible once u switched the earbuts (not sure if they'll be better in the retail package).
Also what is NOT currently supported is the 'low latency'-mode (A2DP without error correction). Therefore you can notice that audio and video (or games) are not perfectly in sync (a small audio delay is noticeable).
I am sure Android 1.6 in the Xperia X10 will have these issues covered, since MW600 is shipped together with it in some retail packages - hope SE will be kind enough to share these bluetooth profiles in Froyo ... (or HTC will catch up, afterall HD2 supports all of the mentioned above).
I have seen the X10 used with the MW600, and phonebook lookup does not work on it either.

how do you stream music to MW600? I paired my MW600 to Desire, but when I play music there is no sound in the headset...
I can confirm that SonyEricsson MW-600 bluetooth headset works beautifully with HTC Desire. Tried to see how far away I could play music (through Spotify) and it didn't make any hickups at all about 25 meters away!
i'm also having problems with my MW600
the desire will pair to it, although it never asks for the pin ..but wont connect. so i can't transfer phone audio playback to the headset . useless
think maybe i have a faulty unit.
wont connect to my SE W610i, nor my ps3 ..errors out.
hmmmm
got mine from AccessoryJack ...

It should do it by default if its pair to the device, you can tell if its paid as the bluetooth icon on the phone has small triangles next to the bluetooth icon and hte mw600 has a picture of a phone on to say its paired.
if you play music via default music app or other it will stream/ play to the headphones.
it works with spotify, lastfm, mp3s etc fine.
If someone calls you hear the beep, and it auto holds the music.
Do you have the volume turned up on the device? I changed my headphones for better as the default ear pieces were so uncomfy and cheap.
I was thinking when u use a blue-tooth headset will you lose your FM radio functions?
Because the wire of normal earplugs functions as the antenna for the FM radio?
I'd really want to know this because i listen to the FM radio allot so this is a really important thing to me.

I managed to pair it and stream music (I think battery charge wasn't enough when I was trying to pair it for the first time), quality is pretty good for me...
But I found the following BUG: when I have incoming call while listening to music (I use standard Desire music player), I can't hear caller's voice. If I stop music and call back, than it works fine.
Can somebody test it?
i juz got the MW600 today from mobilecityonline, but i got a few problems...
1) how can i pair MW600 with windows 7?? it keep sayin driver not found...
2) when i paired it with ps3, it doesnt stream any music or video sound at all which the ps3 is playing...
3) how can i get song title display on the screen when i pair it with my X1?? i tried using WMP, CorePlayer, and the experience panal... but all doesnt work...
4) i do c a clock once in a while, but the time is wrong, wat is the excatly buttons to display the clock and set the clock??

This works fine for me using hte standard HTC music player, Do you pair the device to your phone as does it display as being paired on phone and device?
you should here the beeps in your headphones when someone is trying to call.
When they do call it sounds as if htey can hear you but you cannnot hear them, are you sure your using the device mic or the phone mic?
It sounds to me your device is not paired correctly or you have connected device to the phone.

What mode are you using to pair it with windows 7, this is not the win7 forum!
2) when i paired it with ps3, it doesnt stream any music or video sound at all which the ps3 is playing...
Again what mode are you using and have you read the manual? Again this is not a ps3 forum

Install smartWatchM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362218), why post about the X1 in the HTC desire forum?
4) i do c a clock once in a while, but the time is wrong, wat is the excatly buttons to display the clock and set the clock??
You will find the answer to the time displaying etc on your other device but not in the HTC desire forum.

What bluetooth headsets will work with the touch diamond?
other question: why should there be any headsets not working?
i have a really cheap but nice looking samsung headset, no problem to get paired with the diamond. should work with any other headset, too!?
My existing is just a cheap iTouch bluetooth headset and it works perfectly.
I don't think Diamond has any problem to work with other brands.
I have an old Motorola Bluetooth headset (4 Years) and it will not pair with my Diamond. Looks like its time to upgrade to a Jawbone!! hehehe
i have the jabra bt3030
its a stereo bluetooth headset working on A2DP
works great and looks awesome!!
So can I listen to music through any bluetooth headset (that has headsets to play music)?
My Plantronics P590 works like a charm

Theres a app called btAudio (keep a google-eye open for newer versions) that does exactly this, it will send ALL sound to the headset, despite of what windows had in mind for the sound (as in if it was gonna use headset or build-in speaker)
Tho, it sometimes chokes when you dont shut down the app before you disable the bluetooth headset or phones bluetooth function, but i guess that kinda makes sense (its even sayd in the program to not do that, but im a sucker for trying such things hehe)
And another thing, this happend for me too (taken from comments on some site, linked below)
The program runs well however if you try to make a phone call with the blue tooth ear piece while the program is active the program is not available after the call is completed.
I had to reset my phone to enable the program again. - source of comment
Guess thats related to windows not being to happy theres multiple apps using the headset, lets hope for a next version which auto-disables when calling and re-enables when u hang up.
I'm waiting for this one (Jabra BT530, due end August according to Play.com)...
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/16778.htm
Got the manual that Jabra put up on their support site for a day or two before taking it off. Manual says it also supports A2DP and can stream music.
And what about battery life? Could somebody using bluetooth stereos write how long the Diamond can last, and what is the overall impact on battery life while listening to music?
I use this headset, its got very good sound and is also nice and comfortable, since i have my tragus peirced i cant wear "normal" headphones!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DRBT20...6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1216998998&sr=8-6
It also works on my pc and my PS3 as a wireless headset/mic!
I have proper enclosed stereo headphones Dell DH-200 with volume control, next and previous track plus play/pause buttons and it all works fine with HTC DT. The only think I am not sure about is which profile it is using, the sound is not as good as when I have it paired with my laptop, which would suggest a low speed profile as opposed to HQ.
You can change the bluetooth profile in Schap's Advanced Config. I've set bitpool to 70, max to 76 and min to 64. Now the sound quality is waaay better.
I can't connect my Jabra 320's (worked with SE W880i) to BT Stereo, it only see's the headphones as a handsfree unit on the HTC
Jawbone. Nothing else comes close (for hands free anyway!). And the new one even matches the Diamond... sort of!
Has anyone suffered the sound periodically dropping out for a second or two, mainly during the first minutes of connection but still persisting now and again several tracks down the playlist?
I just got an after market radio that supports bluetooth audio streaming & voice call. (Eclipse CD5030) After several tries, I seem to have it figured out so I wanna share my finding.
1 - Audio quality is ok. Acceptable, but not great. Bass output is fine, but treble is almost gone & distorted.
2 - When trying to transfer contact list from phone to the radio, bluetooth connection dropped instantly.
3 - Voice call quality appears to be normal. (i.e. similar to when you use handset / headset) According to callers, they can hear me just fine. Caller audio is fine on my end. I mounted the microphone near the visor, to the middle of the windshield.
4 - This radio can configure caller's audio output to only driver's side or both. But output is for front speakers only.
5 - This radio doesn't pipe phone's ringtone through. So you only get basic ringtone that comes with the radio.
6 - On my first try with navigation + music player, audio skip/drop out very often. On second+ tries with phone plugged in, no problem. -- I remember reading somewhere that max CPU frequency is automatically lowered when battery is low. This seems to make sense.
7 - I don't have a car dock for N1 yet. (waiting for Google official N1 car dock). Only voice prompt was adequate.
7 - You can skip forward/backward from the radio. But there's no pause button. The only way to pause is to switch to other audio source.
8 - If you prefer better audio quality, you can plug the phone into radio's USB port and enable USB storage mode. It will play music off the phone's memory card. -- Or just plug the 3.5mm cable to the phone, but you lose ability to control what is played.
9 - When using BT audio streaming, it doesn't display song's name. Just your phone's BT name.
That's hit. Hope it's useful for people looking to use/get BT car radio with N1.
After having the phone for a while today was the first day I did this with mine as well, also an Eclipse head unit.
My findings were pretty much the exact same. I did get a kick out of playing pandora out of the car stereo though while running navigation and it all working just perfectly.
Audio could be improved but it really is pretty cool.
for those not yet purchased.
Kenwood BT8044U
Audio quality excellent, does have pause, phonebook works, and works with car steering controls (with adapter)
Took awhile but the N1 works with MS Sync in my girlfriends fusion and in my Escape with an after market JVC with the bluetooth addon.

This sounds very promising.
Have you had a chance to try it with any of the GPS navigations apps? I would reallly like to know if you can play music and navigate at the same time with the GPS instructions coming through via BT as well ...
this thread is making me want to dump my 2004 ish alpine head unit for something newer with BT... argggh

Works just fine, I play music and navigate with andnav2 only issue is that both music and andnav are classed under "media volume" so I can't make the navigation louder in relation to the music.

This - I use co-pilot and Google's Navigation as well as stream music and it works quite well. I do wish there was a different volume toggle between music/nav but other than that it works quite well.
Thanks guys, sounds good.

my navigation volume is seperate of the media volume.
For those looking for a simpler solution, see my post on Kensington Liquidaux BT car adapter. U$25 delivered, very stylish design, works great. BUT, you'd need either an aux input or go with a tape adapter or an external FM transmitter.
i was disappointed to find out that tmobile g2x doesnt not work with bt mono or super froyo plus to stream phone audio to my bluetooth headset if anyone gets it working lemme know! I liked being able to watch slingplayer on my htc hd2 with out disturbing anyone!

That sucks. I use it sometimes. If you find a fix or alternative, please post it.
Rhapsody and Android Music output fine through the phone's internal Bluetooth stack. Is there something special about SlingPlayer?
well the android music player doesnt work for me and neither did any other music player i downloaded maybe its just my phone? neither did i heart radio
I emailed the dev he said that he hasn't heard much reports from people yet and he doesn't have the phone to test with it. Personally I think it's the Rom we have. Once a aosp rom or CM7 it will probably work again. There are somethings my g2 could do this phone can't.

Oh, I think I just realized why must stuff works and yours doesn't. All the devices I've connected are Bluetooth Media capable including my headset. The first time the headset paired, the phone only detected Bluetooth audio and it didn't work. I re-paired it and the phone recognized audio and media and then it worked. You need a headset that supports A2DP audio streaming.
not sure
i dont know about that when i used the same headset with htc hd2 running android it worked but this g2x doesnt

Hi,
It's hard for me to even find a title that makes sense for this thread since I'm not a native English speaker. I struggled also on where to post this one, so i hope I did it right.
I've been searching for a better quality headset replacement for my Trophy since the HTC ones not only fall from one of my ears but the sound quality and isolation leaves a lot to be desired. That said, they at least have the functionality of controlling the volume and answer-end a call.
So actually I have 2 questions:
1) The HTC headset allows to answer/end a call plus volume control. Some Samsung focus users reported that they can skip tracks by double or triple pressing the answer button. Now I wonder if these functionalities are Hardware or OS dependant. Is there any documentation on what WP7 is capable of handling?
2) Does anyone know of a higher quality alternative to HTC's headset (wired), with at least the same functionality, but proved to work on HTC WP7 devices? (I've seen recommendations on Android HTCs but I rather not assume they work in WP7 devices, too much money to be wrong )
Thanks in advice
The best thing for you to do, would be to get a set of Bluetooth (A2DP) headphones. These will also include the microphone so you can listen to music, control the music player (skip track, play/pause, etc) and take calls.
With anything else except the HTC headset, I don't think you can do anything but listen to music.
EDIT: Another advantage of Bluetooth headset is universal compatibility- they'll work with just about any phone/computer with bluetooth
i would also recomend an bluehoot headset.
im using the nokia bluethoot stereo headset
http://www.pixmania.com/ch/de/2478328/art/nokia/bluetooth-stereo-headset.html
it works with calling, music scipping, play, pause
I'm using SE MW600 with mango and everything perfect,
able to control music, accept the incoming call, use voicecall, speed dial , display the caller-id and song name.
and the most important..
It's can use you own headphone.

Using the Nokia BH-503 and it works like a charm also.
For reference the headset I use is the Samsung SBH-650, it lets you use your own headphones too which is excellent for me as I wear glasses so the annoying neck-or-headband style that BT headphones normally are doesn't work for me
Thank you all for your replies.
I'm particularly interested in SE MW600 first and the Samsung SBH-650 as an alternative, because they allow you to use whatever headphones you like best. The first seems to have killer features, especially the display. The second seems to be cheaper, which is always good .
EDIT: Actually I've found the SE to be cheaper than the Samsung...

Thanks for the advice!
I've been having an issue with the media audio streaming to Bluetooth on the Blaze, which I did not have on my previous phone (Optimus). I pair with a Soundfly View in my car, and use the app BeyondPod to listed to podcasts. On a "fresh" Blaze, the audio will begin to play/stream for a split second, and then stop (though the podcast will continue to "play" or advance on the phone). I can occasionally get it to do it again by clicking play, but never for more than that split second.
Through experimenting, I noticed that phone audio seems to be fine, as well as audio on the Music player. What I've found, consistently, when this happens, if I start the Music player, start playing some audio then pause it, then go back to BeyondPod, it streams fine. At least for a time, though I've yet to figure out exactly what "resets" this workaround. But when I'm unable to play, I have to redo this Music player trick to play the podcasts.
Any clue what is going on here, and any permanent fix?
Bluetooth streaming... I have been doing this for a few years using a slightly different method that I'll share here in hopes it might help. I know this is kinda unrelated to your app, but this might be a fix.
Connect any bluetooth headset (I use my PS3 headset)
Download an app called BTmono (its free and a very simple interface, on/off)
Press the on button
Now any sound you would of heard out of your phone speaker you hear on your headset. This lets you listen to music, audio books, videos, or whatever on your headset. When you are tired of it, make sure to press the off button on BTmono to go back to normal. Hopefully this will help or at least provide a temp fix for now. My boss just thinks I like to wear mine all the time, he has no clue I am jamming dubstep and listening to audio books all night
Well, even should that work, it's really the same solution...using another app to force the streaming which should be happening automatically if you're connected with the right BT profile.
I did forget to mention that I do use A2DP volume, which launches an app (BeyondPod) and adjusts the volume when BT is connected. I also used it on my old phone, so I doubt it's related, but...
Nobody else has any problems with Bluetooth from other apps? It's just me???
